Gravlax bagel with capers, tomatoes and red onions

Family owned, very friendly. Had a Gravlax bagel. Was fresh, tasty and loaded! Highly recommended!

I really like this place since they have decent bagels and sandwiches. But they had a new kind of donut- crème brûlée- the donut was delicious!!!! The staff is always helpful and friendly if you have questions. I was very surprised to see they made their own donuts!! Definitely give their donuts a try as they are very tasty!

Fellas. Just got back home and have half the sandwich left. Thanks for the delicious lunch, I'll be back and I'm glad I'm close. I got turkey, bacon, avocado, and tomato on a plain bagel.

    BEC on Everything Bagel

What a great establishment! Brownstone Bagels has some of the best bagels around. Always fresh and perfectly made. The cream cheese is delicious and their BECs hit the spot every time. Fast service, friendly staff, and always consistent. Highly recommend!

My first NYC bagel IN NY!!! Everything bagel with plain cream cheese.

It was my first time in NYC and you best believe "bagels" were on my To-Do list! My mama didn't raise no dummy! Anyhow, of course New York being New York you got bagels errywhere! It was Sunday and my husband and I overslept. So my brother in law and his wife got a head start on us visiting the 9/11 memorial. So we were left to our own vices to learn how to get from Time Square to the memorial via the Subway *insert scared face here*. So naturally we ended up in Brooklyn..hahahahahaa! I knew we needed off the Subway we were on when we started crossing a bridge...hahahahaa! So we hopped off so we could hop back on another going back. But first, I spot a cute bagel shop....then I see a beautiful tree lined street of Brownstones. Told my husband I needed to grab us bagels first. He spots a Starbucks across the street and in an effort to save time I tell him to go to Starbucks to grab us coffees and I'll grab the bagels. I enter this quaint shop. See a buffet of cream cheeses house in an enclosed glass display. Behind the corner against the wall hanging baskets of bagels. I choose a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese for him and an everything bagel slathered in cream cheese for me. I asked the guy if there was a way to order my bagel without sounding like a loser tourist. His reply "you could never sound like a loser mami". Yep, tip for you kind sir because I know I sounded like a loser tourist...lol! Lemme tell you. Although it was just shy of 11AM that bagel was still chewy and flavorful and had seasoning on both top AND bottom and the slathering of that cream cheese...perfection...no skimping here! I hope I will be back. If you luckily stumble upon this place as I did be sure to check it out, you wont be disappointed!

Bagel with cream cheese and bacon

The most fresh bagels I've ever had. Must try!!! The staff is wonderful and so nice. Def my new go to spot.

The BEST bagels ever. As a pretentious New Yorker who reviews bagels, nothing beats it. Bagels are so flavorful and doughy. My order is godsent - egg everything bagel with egg, cheese and avocado. And the staff know how to cook the egg & cheese so it's cohesive & gooey.

10am on a Sunday and I was served a cold, dry, and stale bagel that tasted like it was straight out of the refrigerator from yesterday. You should be embarrassed serving this garbage to your customers. Definitely not coming back here. If you want good bagels, keep walking. You won't find them here.

Egg sandwich with tomato and brown avocado. Gross.

Very hit or miss. Some days the bagels are dense, moist and chewy and some days they're airy and dry as dust. Depending on who's making the sandwiches, they can be delicious or disgusting. Today's was so bad I felt compelled to write this review. Just seems like they don't care about their customers at all or are lazy or cheap or all of the above.. I'd recommend walking a few an extra blocks for a better and consistent experience.

I love bagels. Safe to say I was born and raised on bagels! With that said I got to say that Brownstone bagels are pretty banging! Their bagels pass inspection with all the important qualities needed to call it a Brooklyn bagel. The outside has just the right crisp and chewiness with the inside having a perfect dough texture. On my last visit I went had my favorite bagel/schmear combo is an everything with scallion cream cheese. It was perfect. Id recommend this place if you're looking for a great Brooklyn bagel!

Great bagels, but service can be a little slow in the mornings when you're trying to keep from missing the R train.

The only issue is sometimes ppl want other items such as a muffin rather than a coke and chips for ea sandwich

Anyone know when/if this place is opening again?

Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Their pizza is SOOO perfectly crisp and charred, and actually is one of the closest pizzas that reminds me of the famous originals in Napoli.

Expensive though, about $55 dollars for a vegan 18-inch Margherita pie with 3 toppings. Was it worth it for the experience? Yes. Would I recommend to someone who wanted to try it at least once for a good dairy-free pizza? Absolutely, I couldn't even tell this was vegan cheese. Would I get it again? Maybe (?) once in a while as a treat with price being the only barrier. Service 5/5: This was great. I came here the other day to inquire about their vegan pizza and just wanted to try a slice. The person found his manager to talk to me about this. They were super friendly and explained to me the situation. This location only sold vegan options in full pies and their other DOP Fast Life location does sell vegan slices, but they didn't try to push me to buy. I came back today and the staff today were also very welcoming. Ambiance 5/5: Rustic red brick interior with warm lighting. It was definitely bustling on a Friday night. Food 5/5: Delicious pizza. I do regret that I ate it cold after driving 30 minutes to pick it up so I did not get the full experience. But the crust was still crunchy. I do wish the toppings were a little heavier but the tomato chunks in the sauce tasted very fresh. A very classic New York style pizza and I couldn't even tell it wasn't real cheese. Vegan garlic knots were great too.
