One of my favorite of restaurants on the island. The staff is always so attentive and friendly. Tula has a great variety of vegetarian and vegan options and beautiful decor that you do not see every day. I love coming here but every time I do, I have to prepare my wallet! For starters- Jackie, Lena and her team helped take care of every detail and ensured a smooth operation with everything I wanted accomplished. They were able to accommodate our party of roughly 70 guests. We were able to use the juice bar for entry and the dessert/coffee station and the rest of the restaurant for everything else. Our menu consisted of a shared mezzanine board at each table, a salad and choice of three entrees (almond crusted chicken, gnocchi and striped bass). Overall the experience at Tula Kitchen was great. You can tell they have experienced staff and are welcoming to guests of all dietary preferences. Our order included: tofu crab cakes, bbq broccoli cauliflower salad with tofu, winter bowl, and peanut butter cookie ice cream sandwich. Everything was delicious but the tofu crab cakes were pretty crumbly and I think could've had a better structure to them. I was surprised because many reviews said they were really good but I felt like they could've been better. The other dishes were 10/10 I would order any of them again for sure. Had dinner on a Friday night. Cucumber cocktail is fantastic if you REALLY like cucumbers, which I do. Mediterranean appetizer for 2 could easily feed 3 - 4 people. Falafel appetizer becomes one note since they're so big and so many, best to share with others. Our Dinner entrees all were excellent. Dessert tonight was a let down since we had these items before and they were much better. Tonight the vegan cupcake was dry and the center was hard - frozen cold. Tula Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants on Long Island whenever I am craving something that is nourishing, healthy, and filled with unique flavors. It is always popping so try to make a reservation if you can. I've also eaten at late hours just to snag a spot here because its simply that good. I've been going here for years and love trying a new dish every time. The menu is also always spiced up depending on the season. The cocktails are impeccable as well. I had the veggie lentil meatballs last time served over a zucchini & squash spaghetti which was delicious and made for great leftovers the next day. I tried my sister's seafood rigati as well and it was scrumptious. Highly recommend. I also love their dessert menu and my favorite is: Tula's Earth Moving Dream Bar. ***Bar review*** A bartender at Verde (our first stop) recommended we make a stop at Tullulah's as the drinks are amazing. We stopped in first thing I noticed was lovely decor. It's such a pretty place. We grabbed a seat at the bar and reviewed their cocktail menu. They had an amazing list. We quickly ordered a few and yum delicious! Fresh ingredients! The bartender Bradley was awesome! We told him about the recommendation for drinks here and we were happy we stopped by. I said "The bartender at Verde told us stop at Tullulah's they have amazing drinks there" that's when Bradley informed us we were at Tula's Kitchen not Tullulah's! HHahah! We laughed and ordered some more of their amazing drinks! He said the food is great as well. We didn't try any but we will for sure next time. Oh, Tula Kitchen. Your sesame crusted tofu rocks my world so much, I consider it one of my favorite vegan dishes, ever. Ever. And it's not because of the tofu (which is perfectly delicious). I can't recall ever getting a plate that's pretty much smothered in delectable greens the way this one is. Broccoli rabe is the star of this show and it's so outstanding that I practically choke on it because I want to put an entire unwieldy piece in my mouth. Goodness, get on in here. I will die for you. See, what I love most about this particular entree is that there is decadence waiting for you underneath all of that green greatness. Coconut rice may not sound all that exciting in the way of actual decadence, but I've never had rice this tasty before. It has chunks of toasted coconut and is slightly sweet. But wait, I normally don't like sweet stuff lousing up the savory stuff on the plate! It just works, you gotta trust me. The greens are garlicky. The tofu is salty/sesame'd (is that a verb?) and the ensemble works magically. I don't think I've ever dedicated two long paragraphs to one entree before. And I haven't even gotten to dessert yet. I will say though that the vegan crab cakes didn't excite me in the same way. They are ok, but I've had much much better. I think the texture was too mushy for me. Not a lot on the (vegan) apps menu that interest me, to be perfectly honest. I've been to Tula Kitchen twice now and very much recommend it if you're vegan/vegetarian and are with people who just must have their fish or chicken or some kind of non vegan food (you ain't gonna get red meat here, though). It's a good place to celebrate an occasion, too. I much prefer the sultry ambiance of the red room for dinner (though the white room has a lovely ambiance, don't get me wrong). I'll admit our first visit started on a sour note that I'll just briefly mention. We had resos and were sat at the least desirable table, which would be the one up front in the middle of the aisle. It was the only table available in the white room. When asked if we could move, ie, we'd even wait for another table, the host wasn't friendly nor accommodating. My guy was so annoyed, it was hard to convince him to enjoy dinner that night, no less return. The second visit was much better. I reserved our table of four and specified where we wanted to sit, so it was perfect. It was a super busy Saturday night and even if things took longer than usual to come out, our waitress was attentive and all around cool. Now for dessert. The first time I had the "Rockin'" vegan cupcake (think: Hostess style chocolate with a creamy center). It was hard not to order it again, but I wanted to try the vegan cheesecake. It's excellent, don't get me wrong, but I almost stole my guy's peanut butter pudding. That might deserve a spot in the vegan dessert hall of fame, friends. I can't stop thinking about it. It's insane. Tula is a favorite place for me, possibly my favorite place to get vegan food on Long Island. Admittedly, though, parking is a real challenge, especially on weekends. I can't blame Tula Kitchen for it as I'm sure all restaurants in the area are plagued by the same problem. Paid parking just sucks. My queendom for valet, you know? read more

Definitely a true fine dining experience and one of my top favorite restaurants of all time. Super cute place to take pictures as well as the interior of the restaurant is stunning. I would rate Tula Kitchen 4 and a half stars. I love it here. I've been a handful of times now and have always had a great experience for eating gluten free. I even attended a beautiful baby shower here. Last night I started with the bruschetta pizza. There were two of us. It's a pretty big appetizer. I could have eaten it myself as an entree. I really enjoyed it. Super thin crunchy gluten free crust. Next I had the almond crusted chicken. It comes over greens and with a balsamic dressing. I didn't feel the need for the dressing and I feel like the flavors would have been competing. There was so much sauce from the chicken that that was enough of a dressing for me. For dessert I ordered the vegan cheesecakes. You get two mini cheesecakes. One was salted caramel and the other was brownie. Both enjoyable but I preferred the salted caramel. Both had a coconut flavor. The decor is beautiful as well as the atmosphere. The acoustics are a bit loud when it's busy. Previously I've tried the meatballs with zoodles and the poke bowl. I have been coming here for many years. It is a beautiful and comfortable restaurant, reasonably priced, with a rotating menu. The newer side is gorgeous with a lovely long bar. You can find vegan, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian options here, so the menu should satisfy most diners. The food is always fresh, unique and comforting. The drink menu is substantial, and desserts are always delicious! I can't believe I didn't give them a review sooner but I'm pretty new to the Yelp thang. I've been coming here for years and they're always on point! I work up the block and we like to order from Tula on Fridays for lunch. You have to try the Korean BBQ Burger! I tried for the first time today. It's a sesame crusted turkey burger with a really yummy bbq sauce & it's served with sweet potato bites that they air fry. The chicken Reuben on rye is always scrumptious! I usually get that or the Mediterranean spread. No pics of anything because I'm always starving lol I'll take pics next week. They are also able to accommodate my gluten free boss lol which he loves because not a lot of places in Bay Shore has GF bread. read more

We picked the seared tuna as a starter. Delicious! Loved the slaw that it came with. My husband chose the balsamic glazed salmon and it was cooked to perfection, it came with cauliflower mash and arugula. I went with the warm winter chicken bowl. Had such a nice experience here on a semi-busy Thursday night in the poppin' town of Bay Shore. Our waitress, Wendy, was very nice and honest - she made her recommendations which we kind of went with. The mussels appetizer was prob one of the most cleanly prepped and juicy dish I've ever had of mussels. Every single shell had a perfectly cooked mussel, which doesn't always happen. The balsamic glazed salmon was also a hit. Loved the cauliflower mash and the arugula gave it a fresh flare. Only dish that wasn't a success was the lentil burger, which the waitress didn't give her thumbs-up approval on when we ordered. It was dry and bland - but a good option for any vegans/vegetarians out there. Loved the Cool as a Cuc cocktail - but at $14 a glass, you don't get very much.
