This place has been under new management for a couple years (?) now. They have improved consistently over that time. Now, bagels are amazing. Well cooked with "toppings" on both sides! Whole wheat everything bagel, sooo good. Their sandwiches are well constructed with care. My breakfast sandwich is the skinny zesty (not in menu anymore, but they still make it upon request) and wife's bacon egg cheese. AMAZING sandwiches!! Thank you. I have no complaint with the food or service. But the restroom was disgusting. I think it has been wiped down with a dirty, sour smelling mop. It therefore smelled absolutely horrible. The floor was wet and corners of the floor had built up grim. The entire place is rundown and dirty. It feels like owners just don't care. You need to provide tools for your team to use that are decent and refresh your space occasionally as well as bringing in cleaners to do a deep clean once in a while. This isn't the employees fault. This is with management/ the owners. If you let what I can see get to this condition I worry about what I can't see. read more

Bagels are great - but being blatantly ignored is intolerable and insulting. I waited at the counter 5 mins with no one else in the building but one guy on the phone having his bagel. The staff was no where to be seen and could be heard chatting around the corner - I walked to the end of the counter to peek my head in and as I did someone walked in behind me on their phone and approached the counter - then a staff member entered from the front and another came from out back - straight to the person on their phone and blew right past me as I was just uttering a "hi .. can I?..." I waited a whole 2 seconds before I left angrily and silently because I couldn't control how rude I was about to sound when I did speak again - the second employee that came from the front door just walked up to the side of the counter to chitchat with the person that ultimately ignored me and just stood there. I don't care if it's a five star restaurant or a McDonald's being ignored feels like a punch to the gut in every customer service aspect I can imagine and absolutely dire is any hope of return. It's such a shame because these bagels are made from a very corporate company are actually pretty darn good and blow anything you could ever get at Dunkin' Donuts out of the water.. it hurts bad because there is a lack of good bagel spots around, but there's no way I will experience that again read more

It took a while for me to be acknowledged once I got in. One woman was behind the bar and she seemed to be preoccupied by an order over the phone. Another woman was in the back so she didn't really see me. There wasn't any move for the woman behind the bar to get the woman in the back to help me - this went on for about 5-8 minutes. I wouldn't have minded waiting but to not be acknowledged or expressing, "Sorry, it'll be just a moment," is another thing. Eventually the woman on the phone noticed a growing line so called for the woman in the back to come help us out. My order was fairly simple so everything was pretty straight forward. The woman taking my order was very pleasant and nice - she asked how I was doing, took my order, and then asked if I needed anything else. Simple, straight forward, friendly - all that I could ask for really in customer service! I just got a bagel with cream cheese, it came out to be $2.88... not bad! This Bruegger's has ZERO hygiene standards. I saw an employee use a broom with gloves on to sweep the floor and then proceed to take my order and make my bagel with the same gloves he used to clean the floor (did not change gloves). I was disgusted the whole time. Next, my cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese always tastes weird like salmon or onion, because they don't clean their surfaces or don't use parchment paper to cut and make the bagels. This is extremely concerning for allergies BTW. Below is a picture of my cinnamon raison plain cream cheese bagel with remnants of salmon (from a past bagel- NOT what i ordered/want to see or taste). My basketball team visited Bruegger's for lunch and I've got nothing bad to say! I couldn't decide what to get; there were so many bagel options. I was extremely tempted to try the green (St. Patty's Day) bagel, but I decided to just stick with my all-time favorite: a toasted sesame bagel with butter. I also ordered a cup of their vegetable soup and a cute little cup of their "poured" orange juice. Everything was tasty. Pretty affordable as well. The girl working was very patient and super nice. Bruegger Bagels' establishment is not the same as before Covid. The service is terrible most times. And the place is filthy. While standing at the cash register with nothing to do, nothing is done outside of standing and chatting with co-workers. Here is why I will never go to Bruegger's Bagels again, and why I wish I had gone to Share: I walk in with a smile. I wait in line. I get up to the counter and order a decaf coffee. The girl smirks, and loudly says "if you just want coffee, then you should've ordered from the register!" Oh...sorry, I wasn't up on my how to order coffee from Brueggers skills. Then she proceeds to walk up to the register and puts a cup on the counter. She rings me up, then, now barely audible as if she couldn't be bothered, rolled eyes and all, tells me the decaf is behind me. The entire experience was just RUDE! Then, I fill my cup what turns out to be less than hot coffee, add my half and half with what's left in the carafe, add my sugar, then look over at the three remaining lids that look like they've been tossed around. No thanks. I'd rather put my mouth on a clean lid. I ask the woman nearest the coffee stand if she could provide another lid. Irritated, she tells me "we only have over there". And I'm thinking, 'really? You only have 3 lids?' So I politely ask her if she wouldn't mind getting another lid (refusing to believe that she only has 3 lids) Straight irritated, she goes underneath the counter and pulls out a tall stack, and hands me a lid with such disdain, then replenishes the near empty basket with lids. Horrified by all of the attitude between her and the previous person, I turned to ask her name, and noticed her tag said "general manager". No wonder the other worker was so rude...because the general manager is so rude. I get it that customer service is not what it used to be, but to be rude and act like I am annoying you is another. Wow...so sorry I had the nerve to come into your establishment to give you my business. So sorry I didn't know where to stand to order my coffee. Sorry I didn't want to use a dirty lid! I have tried to buy bagels here in the morning & have been told that they are out of plain bagels. Also, it's very disappointing to me that their indoor seating that had been closed since 2020 and the start of the Covid pandemic has now been removed all together, and they don't have any outdoor seating either even though they have great space for it. I've been a regular here for the last 5 years, but at some point every time I go there, I have a bad experience. The bagels have become noticeably smaller, and the employees are not attentive at all. They always misunderstand something and mess up my order, and then give me an attitude like I've said something wrong. I ordered a smoke-salmon sandwich, one time I got a bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese. I say, "Could you toast it please", and they say "sure!" and then give me an cold rock bagel saying "Thought you said no toast." without even an offer of making it right, "We made them fresh this morning, so it's going to be soft anyway.", which is not at all the same as having a fresh toasted bagel. Then I taste the bagel and it is hard as rock. Honestly, I'm usually a chill laid-back customer. When I have a bad experience, I try to give a benefit of doubt that maybe I wasn't clear. But when something like this happens SO MANY TIMES not just to me, but many of my friends, this is the point where I know I've had it enough. My friends also constantly complain about similarly bad experience. One time, my friend ordered a cinnamon sugar bagel and she tasted the touch of an everything bagel because they probably didn't wipe out the cutter or cutting board or something. This is probably what it meant another customer below wrote "shit their act together", which was asked to clarify by the owner. I used to love this place. I really hope they come back. read more

I just want to warn people that once I asked for soup here and one of the workers looked into the soup warmer and honestly told me "You don't want that". So there was something disgusting in there. I'm grateful for the honesty but the fact that it was a problem at all really says something about how well they are able to handle basic food safety. It's not that hard to keep food machinery clean, and it's your responsibility. There are a few things in life that bring me continuous pleasure. The taste of a warm pumpernickel bagel with salmon cream cheese is one of them. I'm not normally in the area but when I am I try to stop by what used to be a well-respected establishment. This visit, was disappointing to say the least. Having not visited since the COVID-19 lockdown, I was unaware of the new store guidelines and entered eagerly. Who I assume to be the manager rudely told me to leave and reenter through a designated "Enter" door which was allegedly "clearly marked." I can appreciate the stress service workers must be under during these unprecedented times, but this person's hostile attitude was unwarranted. Had this not been a special trip for my daughter, I would have simply left. By the way, the signage was smaller than my phone screen. Whatever. So I followed directions and reentered to order a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a cheesy hash brown bagel. It was just average. The last time I had the sandwich it was amazing. I was very disappointed with the service and the food overall and will not return any time soon. read more

I came here for brunch on a Sunday, already knowing what I wanted to get: the Smoked Salmon breakfast sandwich. In my opinion, one of the best sandwiches because it comes with cream cheese, tomatoes, red onions and capers. I got the sandwich on a jalapeno cheese bagel (extra $0.30), with extra tomatoes and red onions (another extra $0.30). I didn't know the veggies would've been extra, but it was a good amount of extra for just a lil more than a quarter. BUT, I got my sandwich, and I definitely got the extra veggies, but was missing the capers! The capers are the best part of the sandwich (in my opinion!) and they definitely forgot them :(((( super sad face I also got a medium hazelnut coffee to go with my brunch. I don't think they have anything on Dunkin Donuts, just saying. Overall, I'd come back to Bruegger's when I need my smoked salmon fixed (making sure they put the capers!) because it's a nice clean spot with a lot of seats and free wifi. read more
