There's so many options for bagels you just have to make sure you get there bright and early to you can have more options of flavors . All the bagels are made in house , so they are fresh to go . Bagels are always baked well here. We've tried the double stacker with bacon, egg, and cheese which was the best! We've tried the maple French toast and cinnamon (with strawberry cream cheese). Both tasted exactly as to be expected. And the texture was great, too. Lastly tried the Vermonter which was like a fancy McGriddle. It was a little too much going on for my fiancé but still made well like all the others we've tried. Will return to try more things. read more

Let me start by saying this is totally my fault. I ordered the avocado, bacon, and tomato with egg bagel...and decided that's perfect but did not continue to read what else came on it. Their Herby Turkey has been consistently delish for years and years. Today's sammie did not disappoint. Everything else, not so much. The space--both dining and food prep areas--needs a big refresh and the manager maybe a vacay. Communication was poor re a long delay to make a one-sandwich with zero modifications. Had the pleasure of getting breakfast bagels at Buegger's Bagels this Sunday Morning with local friends while on vacation in Asheville, NC. How nice to have a properly made, fresh, NY Style, Everything Bagel w/ cream cheese, lox, tomatoe, onion & capers. A perfect breakfast.....we skipped lunch. We grabbed a half dozen, sealed up tight in a zip lock bag to take back to Texas with us. I'll freeze them when I get back home. Wish we had a Beugger's Bagel back home in West Texas. read more

This is a chain so not much out of the ordinary, except for the exceptional customer service. Do not buy the $2.49 twice baked hashbrowns. I thought they had made a mistake because what I received looked like a very small biscuit, about 2 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. I asked about it and they said that was the hashbrowns that I ordered. it looked like biscuit bread on the outside and about a tablespoon of potatoes on the inside. No flavor really, and a complete and total rip off to pay $2.49 for a very small biscuit and maybe two cents worth of potatoes in the middle. in fairness, the breakfast sandwich was good. But the supposed hash brown debacle left a bad taste in my mouth and I probably will not go back. read more

I love Bruegger's Bagels. I go to the one on Biltmore Avenue. I've been going there for many years. The biggest drawback is the fact that they close at 3 PM every day. Bummer .Update: Business manager responded to my review. That is excellent, to know that they are actually paying attention! I thank him for that. I love Brueggers Bagels and have for many years! But since around the time of the pandemic they started closing really early in the day, like 3 PM. he did not address that issue directly. Hitting up the bagel place before the 4th festivities... Of course the boys wanted the red, white and blue bagels - how fun is that?? My middle guy has issues with dairy so no cream cheese for him. They do NOT have vegan cream cheese, which is disappointing, especially since dairy issues are becoming more common place in our lifetime. Since he's 4 and doesn't know what he's missing, he loved some honey on his bagel. Husband got a blueberry and I got the jalapeno, egg, cheese, avocado yumminess. Total of basically, 3 bagels, a bagel sandwich, hot coffee and iced coffee (no flavors and no syrup so if you want granulated sugar at the bottom of your iced coffee, you're in luck!) came to $19. The staff at this particular Bruegger's go above and beyond in their custom service, from the sandwich makers to the receptionist, it was wonderful service. The young guys making our sandwiches offered us to try a sample of the bagel to see if we like it when we didn't know which bagel we wanted for our sandwich. We are from Raleigh and the sandwich we are used to wasn't on this location's menu but they still made it. The receptionist she was beyond patient and kind when taking our order. Got my bagel within 10 minutes. No problem. But then there was an issue with their soup heater so instead of taking care of the next person in line waiting to pay (me) the girl behind the counter went and sat in the desk/office area waiting for the soup to heat up for the customer in front of me. Another 10-15 minutes went by. Now the line behind me is stacking up. I open my bagel and realize they forgot to put avocado on it. So they fix it. Fine. Finally I'm up to pay. When I finally open my bagel it's toasted to the point it can't even be eaten. Like it physically hurts to eat because it's so hard and crusty. Thanks Bruegger's. read more

I have a naughty love for Breuggers. More specifically, I have a naughty love for their breakfast bagel The Western. At a whopping 670 calories of creamy, greasy, perfectly textured deliciousness, you get a toasted bagel of your choice topped with scrambled egg, cheese, sliced onions, red and green bell peppers and creamy sweet and spicy chipotle sauce. It may sound like a typical breakfast sandwich but let me assure you, it is nothing but typical. It is breakfast perfection. I also totally love their coffee. Even though it's a chain, Bruegger's has the best bagels I've found in Asheville. All of the major supermarket chains -- Fresh Market, Whole Foods, Ingles, Harris-Teeter, BiLo, etc. -- have their in-house and other bagels, but without except they are too "bready" and don't have the real Queens bagel mouth-feel and taste. Same goes for the independent bakeries and coffee houses. Bruegger's versions are very good, if not quite up to what you'd get in New York or Boston, Prices are reasonable. I paid a little over $5 for a half dozen assorted bagels for take out yesterday at their Biltmore Village location. We've also gotten take out bagels recently from the Merrimon Avenue location. Only things I've noticed that I don't like are: Bruegger's cream cheese seems to have a "plastic" consistency. I like grocery store cream cheese, even Phildelphia brand, better. Also, depending on the time of day you go, they may be out of some kinds of bagels. Yesterday afternoon, the plain bagels had just come out and they had plenty of those, but only a few onion and "everything" bagels, and they were completely out of two or three kinds. I don't usually get coffee here, but I'm not impressed by their coffees in general, and especially not the flavored coffees with odd flavors like sea salt and caramel. Get your coffee at a specialty coffee shop. read more

We loved this place! We ate here both mornings we were in Asheville. We ate at the Biltmore Village location. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. The first morning I ordered a ham and cheese bagel on pumpernickel bagel. My husband ordered a western on the new cheesy hash brown bagel. Oh my gosh!!! So good we ordered another. The next morning when we ate there we all three ordered the western on the hash brown bagel. We had to wait about 5 minutes for fresh ones to come out of the oven since they only had one left. I would definitely eat here again when I'm in the area! There were a lot of people eating here and they had a lot of carry out business too. My husband ordered the coconut flavored iced coffee. I took one sip of it and I honestly don't know how he drank it without some sugar or creamer added. It was so strong and just tasted nasty to me but he enjoyed it. My sister-in-law also got one but she added creamer and sugar to hers. A little pricey for the food but I would definitely return! read more

This is your typical bagel shop with extremely friendly staff and quick service. Nothing special, but extremely tasty!! If you don't like bagels, have no fear because they have other sandwich options. I am a classic gal and love, love, love their toasted plain bagel with cream cheese. However, when it's in season I love the pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese. Their coffee isn't too shabby either! Overall, Bruegger's is a great place to get a quick bite to eat. Underwhelming at best. Nice staff, clean facility. I got a bacon egg and cheese with 2 eggs on cinnamon raisin bagel and a "twice baked hash brown". It was pretty average. The bagel was great she added butter on it and sliced it in half. Pretty standard breakfast bagel. The hash brown was a glob of cheese and undercooked potatoes so I put it in the oven at home. Overall nothing too different from your average bagel / breakfast place. Nothin memorable besides the glob of potatoes. The hashbrown had absolutely no flavor. Actually pretty bland and nasty. I'll give the overall experience 3 stars but I wouldn't recommend or return. read more
