This review is not low because of the food. I usually get the same thing everytime. An everything bagel with light chipotle mayo, lettuce and tomato, add bacon and extra turkey. It is always amazing (also hard to mess up so if you do... -_- ) this particular visit the sandwich turned out great, no complaints on the actual sandwich. Ok the service. Guy at the register was nice enough but there is a sign that says "order here" with an arrow that is misleading. Especially because in a lot of bruegers you order then pay ( or at least my experience) here you order and pay then wait. Walked in and wasn't sure where to start, literally. The cashier was on one side and where the line started wasn't clear. People were behind the glass but didn't give us any direction. Finally followed someone else and made our way to the end of the glass. The man who took my order was super friendly and upbeat, making me feel a little better, but then I got to the cashier and he didn't have a very nice tone in his voice. All brueggers taste the same and the staff here are friendly. But if you want consistently the messiest falling apart bagel ever, go to this one. I try this brueggers every 6 months for years and without fail half the cream cheese is on the outside of the bagel, toppings fall out as you unwrap it, it's not cut and the top halves of the bagel always slide away immediately. Two stars because the manager is very nice. Twice in the last two weeks the visits were identical. The younger gentleman making the bagels- not friendly. Being in food service, it's hard for me to knock a location for being understaffed, and east for me to recognize when they're overwhelmingly busy. Today's crew did a good job staying pleasant and were quite obviously doing what they could to deal with the mid-morning rush. Props to them for that. Cleanliness behind the line seemed to be in good order, but the ceiling tiles and lights were caked with dust, the lobby floors were dirty, and I was surprised to not have a place to sit and eat. We love the bagels here and come in almost every weekend for a dozen bagels to eat over the coming week. However, I feel like the employees are often checked out and not really paying attention to what they are doing. As a result, I have gotten home on a number of occasions to find that the bagels in my bag don't reflect my order. I order basically the same thing every week (from a list) so I know what I should have. Sometimes it is a missing bagel, other times it is the wrong bagels (for instance, 3 honey grain instead whole wheat everything). Today it was three missing bagels. It seems silly to feel like I need to unpack the bag before I leave the store to make sure everything is there, but that is what it has come to. I tried to talk to the manager about this frustration today and he couldn't be bothered to step away from the line for 60 seconds to talk to me. As he was talking to me he kept walking away to work on sandwiches and then would come back. We'll keep coming here because the bagels are good, but would love it if the employees could pay a little more attention to what they are doing to get the order right more often. read more

Every time I go to Bruegger's which is practically every morning he has an attitude or a smart ass comment to say that isn't really necessary at all, this morning for example the woman infront of me was asking to use a coupon and he replied this coupon is for you not for me I know Nothing about this, why was that necessary to say? This was my first time at Bruegger's Bagels. I will say that this was not the best experience. I ordered my bagel and told them which cream cheese I wanted on my bagel and they quickly, (very quickly!) spread the cream cheese on my bagel. Then I asked if they were going to toast it and the server looked at me like I was asking for something insane. I have never been to a bagel shop that gives me the bagel cold. If I want a cold bagel I could go to costco, purchase those huge delicious everything bagels, and put my own cream cheese on it and eat it cold. It all stems from the Manager of the store who seems like a nice enough guy but manages this cafe louder and more public than I've ever seen. He always seems to be telling his employees random facts of genius so they can hone in on their craft of bagel selling. Not to mention his sense of entitlement. "I've got a lot of stuff to do," he says. "I still have to do payroll and if little Timmy doesn't come into work on time, I'm gonna be so pissed. Kids these days just don't get it."
