    Bagel, soda, and apple juice

Bruegger's Bagels is a fast-casual bakery-cafe chain that has locations across the U.S. This particular location is inside the Pittsburgh airport. My husband and I ate breakfast here while we waited for our flight. The employees were very polite and performed their jobs well. I ate a bagel (4 stars) and a bottled apple juice. My husband ate an egg-bacon-cheese breakfast sandwich (4.5 stars) and a bottled soda. The foods were fresh and tasted good. The total price was $16. This restaurant's menu was not large, but it was good enough for my husband and I to have a quick breakfast. Many tables and chairs were available.

When traveling through the Pittsburgh Airport, I usually take a quick walk down the B Terminal to grab a bagel. It's one of the best bagels I've had outside of New York City. I'm glad they have a location at the airport as a bagel is something you could easily take on the plane, or grab a sack for home (without the cream cheese). The Staff has always been friendly and I usually get my bagel and cream cheese rather quickly. I just wish they had the bacon scallion cream cheese. That is the Bomb!

I was either super hungry (possible) or this truly was the best damn bagel sandwich I've ever had. And I've had bagels ALL over the country. Including NYC multiple times. Was this the best bagel I've ever had, no but best all around bagel sandwich, yea. I had the Breakfast Sandwich called the Western. It features an egg, bacon, green & red peppers, onions, cheddar cheese, chipotle sauce (this was amazing). I devoured this sandwich in like 5 mins flat. I also bought the Honey Walnut spread and CAN NOT wait to try this. The right spread does wonders for every the most blah of bagels.

    Green eggs and bacon?

Green eggs and bacon? I normally won't dis a place unless it is truly justified and I love giving credit where due, credit was not due here. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel I got a flattened bagel that was mediocre at best w/soggy bacon and a green egg. See picture for the discoloration. I get it this can still be ok to eat and it's a chemical reaction but i can do without it please. The green is hard to see in this but from the inside it's highly visible look around yolk.

Lots of cream cheese. It actually had a subtle sweet flavor.

The Farm House Egg Sandwich was probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Also had a great selection of bagels.

Out here in the North Hills, we've been stuck with chain options -- so when Three Brothers Bagels came to Shaler, it really helped fill a void. This place is a great destination for all kinds of bagels, bagel sandwiches, baked goods AND really, really good soup. My personal favorite so far has been the potato leek soup with bagel croutons. It was so good that I'd love to see it become a menu staple rather than just a special. As for the bagels themselves, the selection strikes a nice balance of savory and sweet, and the spreads and fillings follow suit. What I especially love is that the sandwiches go beyond just breakfast -- there are creative, lunch-style options that set them apart. And yes, their bagels are chewy and might give your jaw a workout after a whole sandwich, but honestly... isn't that just what a bagel is? Tip: Make sure you get there early or plan to order ahead this place is SO popular and regularly sells out. I'm also looking forward to seeing their food truck out and about. Highly recommend for anyone in the North Hills looking for quality bagels, sandwhiches, soups and some genuinely great baked goods!

The different types of bagels are good, Jalepeno cheddar could have a little more Jalepeno in it, but solid. The real highlight was the sausage egg and cheese, the sausage being freshly pressed and made in house really made it standout, definitely recommend! Overall, it's a real good spot for a bagel sandwich, plus they got coffee and some other treats that people were raving about, def will try next time!

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. Coffee was also quite good! Nice start to a day of sightseeing! (The restaurant staff gave great advice about the nearby tourist attractions)

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).
