My friend really wanted to go because she said it was nostalgic for her and I figured why not how bad could it be. It was bad. It was really bad. The bagels were flat and small and just did not taste good. The sandwich itself was really just Forgettable. They also didn't have ketchup for the breakfast sandwiches, which I thought was odd and that means there was no flavor and taste on the sandwiches. Service was mid because they didn't actually know what they were doing and they couldn't answer my questions. I asked for ketchup and they said oh I think we have them right over there which they did not and then I asked somebody else and they said that we don't keep catch-up on the premise. So that was a little confusing. It's a small spot and some people eat in, but mostly were takeout. I don't know why people should choose to go here for breakfast because it's not good and I rather spend more money somewhere else for an actually good breakfast. read more

I've gone to a few Bruegger's to give them a chance and every time the bagels are just disappointing. Staff are friendly and service is decent but the actual bagels themselves are meh. They don't taste anywhere like the ones on LI and they're just sad bagels overall. The best bagels in ROC are from Bagel Land. Once again I gave Bruegger's another chance and they still disappointed. The sesame bagel didn't taste like what a normal bagel should, it was very dry and not fluffy, and there were lots of holes in the bagel. Their plain cream cheese which says "we only call it "plain" because "awesome" might sound like we're bragging" is a joke because even the cream cheese tastes bad. It has this weird taste and combined with the bagel is not great - even generic store bought cream cheese is better than their cream cheese. read more

They have a variety of bagel options (five cheese, rosemary olive oil, garlic, cinnamon sugar etc), and I'm pretty convinced that Western on everything bagel would bring anyone back from the dead on a hangover morning. My Rochester friends always talk about Bruegger's bagels. Since I was visiting them, I figured I'd give it a try for a pre climb snack. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and patient as I stumbled through the menu deciding what to order. I finally settled on a standard turkey sandwich on a sesame seed bagel, topped with lettuce and tomato. I was tempted to add a marshmallow treat or cookie but I had to resist for the sake of my upcoming exercise. The bagel was soft and chewy and the veggies tasted fresh. To my surprise, there was a lot of turkey in the sandwich. It left me more full than I originally thought. The dining area was small and clean with soft cafe music playing in the background, ideal for getting work done. I came here like I do every Sunday for a breakfast sandwich & this morning my bagel was so burnt it was hard as a rock & the entire bag was filled with black char. I realized it when I got down the road so I turned it around and politely explained it was burnt & asked for a new bagel & the cashier Matt was so rude & disrespectful claiming they 'don't burn bagels' and expected me to just scrap the burnt parts off with a knife even though the entire bagel was burnt to a crisp. The bagels are decent and fresh- however they seem to have shrunk down their menu, including the Sriracha egg sandwich (and replaced it with some kind of weird Sriracha honey concoction) and the number of spread flavors and aren't quite the same as used to be available. More importantly, we were disappointed with their masking protocol. While the drive thru attendant was masked and gloved and at least on a quick drive through scan appeared to be following good droplet protection protocol, there was an employee inside wearing a loosely fitting mask covering their mouth somewhat, but not their nose. An establishment serving food should have germ protocol be paramount, and this level of complacency with none of the other employees or management asking the person to leave is more than simply disturbing. They could serve the best bagels, have the greatest menu, but if they care so little for the health and safety of their other employees and customers, they probably should not be in this business. read more

Bruegger's has excellent bagels. 13 coming a dozen here, and they freeze very well in the freezer bags they provide. You will have to make sure you have your own clips or twist ties at home though. The reason I am giving them four stars instead of five as I feel like their selection of bagels is really inconsistent and there's always a gamble weather there will be any or enough of the types I like, which are Poppy, pumpernickel, and everything. We tried the primo pesto chicken, it seemed to have a red roasted pepper sauce not a basil based pesto, but there were tons of red and green peppers. I met a friend here for a quick breakfast on a Sunday morning. She is from out of town and does not have one so for her, this is the jackpot. I had never been here and I don't see a reason to come back unless my friend wants to return. I got egg, cheese & bacon on a plain bagel. It came out quickly and was heated through perfectly but once I ate the sandwich it tasted like syrup. I didn't really mind but I just didn't feel like it tasted that great in my sandwich. I also got a very small cup of orange juice and it cost almost $,. on top of my tiny breakfast sandwich that cost over $4. For the almost $9 that I wound up spending, I wish I went somewhere else. The amount of food I got for the price was just a snack. I actually regretted eating here because of the small portion and large price. I went home and ate again very shortly after. What happened to my bagel place? I come here so often for breakfast. The employees are so nice, always make a little chit chat, the bagels are tasty. Overall, makes the mornings a little brighter. Last week, I was using my birthday reward and ran into a new employee, who was deeply inconvenienced by my using a reward, told me that I should have "told them at the drive through order kiosk" then rolled her eyes at me through the drive through, and then freaking glowered at me while chucking my order at me through the drive through window and deep sighing.
