A wonderful and creative Japanese bakery that brings delicious bread to Kapolei! The selection of bread styles, pastries, desserts, and handcrafted drinks is unheard of. I'm here for it all! The parking lot associated with the bakery makes it a convenient location as well. It is quick to get in and out as it is well staffed for a big bakery. I enjoyed the interior decor with dark wood for academia vibes and self serve setup. This will become a main staple of Kapolei for sure! read more

The amount of FLIES in this locations and inside the cases with the food is BEYOND me! I was very excited to give this location a go but after seeing the sheer amount of flies on everything, I just had to go. The area to choose breads is also so narrow and difficult to maneuver if there's more than one party in there. I really hope they sort out the fly situation. read more

Beautiful interior. Well organized. Staff was super helpful and kind. Quick checkout and efficient. I haven't finished everything we purchased but so far we love it all! Coffee beverage was outstanding. Take your items to go. No seating but definitely a go to! read more

Since my husband and I were in the area we decided to visit this location for the first time. We've been to the Pearlridge location a couple times and both visit was just meh. Kapolei location is nice and clean. Selections were plentiful. They serve more sweet and some Savory. Some items were sold out. But anywho Forgot the names of the pastries we ended up Getting but they were just ok. Nothing special. But the croquette (wish I got more) were so flavorful. Best I've had so far. We also shared their hibiscus mint iced tea. That also kinda fell short. I was a little bummed because the price ranged was on the high side......(in my opinion) Even if we weren't really wow'd by what we got (except the coquette) I still Give this place a solid 5 stars. Because customer service from all the employees that day was exceptional. Greeted, smiled, answered questions professionally and friendly. I won't be going back to this location. I went to their soft opening and it was amazing ! The owners cared so deeply about their product . Came today - and the girl at the register literally could care less about customer service. I asked a question and she's like " I dunno " . Then I asked if she could find out and she said "no one's here . There's no manager ", but with attitude. I guess when the boss is away - they aren't the same . I do love Brug. Just not hopeful for the future of the Kapolei location. read more

This Brug doesn't compare to the other locations. It's so unfair to claim it's Brugs recipe when it's so obviously different... the texture on some of their pastries are lacking in the overall chew and some are so dry and it's just off. Not what you would expect from Brug. So annoying... don't charge the same price if it isn't the same product!!!! read more

Food is consistent with their other bakeries but they were extremely slow in making sure they had all their products out. Almost all the items were out and the Jan and Feb specials were no where in sight. The drinks were super slow bc the gal doing them was extra slow and then didn't do the drinks in order : got mine after someone that came after me. i'm glad they opened a location in kapolei. this one seems wider than pearlridge and they have more drink selections. the employees are friendly too & always offer their help. while i was waiting for my drink to be made, there was a man who didn't know how things go in there. an employee came out & explained everything and even suggested some items for him since it was his first time. she even offered to help carry his trays because he had 2 trays that were stacked with pastries. there are so many choices. each time i come, i try something new. i still have a lot more to try, lol. read more

I get they're stressed and it's busy, but the girl at the register was mean Maybe it was because of their manager, who was grimacing at her employees. Didn't seem great. Food was more expensive than the other BRUGs and there was less to choose from, obviously because they're new but that was a bummer too. If you don't mind mean people and super busy places, you'll love it here anyway. But this BRUG is not for me. read more

Ordered the Pastrami and Cheese Focaccia ($4.75), the Hokkaido Frank ($4.25), 2 Cinnamon Mochi Donuts ($3.00 ea), 2 Strawberry Mochi Donuts ($3.25 ea), a 20oz. White Chocolate Chip Frappe w/ soy milk ($9.00) and a 20oz. Pina Colada Smoothie ($8.75). All tasted unique and full of flavor. Customer service was very welcoming and helpful. Pricing. They are a little more pricy, however as compared to other gourmet pastry stores they are around the average. Since moving in the Kapolei area, my family and I had made a conscious decision to contribute to our local community by actively using local businesses, small or large, to avail our day-to-day needs. When we heard about the Brug Bakery opening in our neighborhood, we were of course excited, and had a chance to visit the bakery for the first time today. It was perfect timing as we were welcoming a group of folks to celebrate a college graduation. Prior to this visit, friends had set my expectations high with accolades for the bakery, but, unfortunately, only to be so disappointed this day. Arriving around 4:45p.m. from the spa next door, when I entered the door, I observed a huge tear on the magnetic mesh cover beyond the front door that keeps pests out, which was not a good look. Immediately, I noticed the well placed baked goods inside which in my mind made up for the front door mesh. As I glanced over the offering to choose what would be good to serve my guests, another customer approached me to say she was told to hurry if she didn't want to be in a "commercial". I was a bit confused, then a worker started blocking me from opening the pastry compartments and mumbled that they are filming and nothing more; no one explained what was going on. Though I was not finished, I went to the cashier to say I'm not done but it seems people are people being rushed(?) in non-verbal way. I was ignored. No comment at all. Then a man who appeared to be in a group that entered the bakery after us with a handful of people said they only wanted the "actors" in the store. I thought that it was an odd way to treat customers that were in the store. There were about 6 customers in the store at the time aside from me, who didn't seem to know what was going onl. No one from staff announced what was going on and just used their body language to indicate we needed to leave. How odd! I've never seen such behavior. At the very least, I would expect them to make an announcement that they were filming a commercial and thus they need to close the store temporarily and for however long it'd take them to finish to allow the folks to decide whether to stay or not. Or, announce they will close the store early for the day. I was so disappointed and, yes, very offended to be there. I proceeded to pay for what I had already collected, left my paid coffee behind because they hadn't finished making it, and I proceeded to Foodland where I get nothing but a genuine and decent service. read more

The cashiers wete so busy talking to themselves and I seen multiple flies on the food and it was still being offered to costumers. It seems like that place is only there for the money. I even seen even a man in the back sneeze and didn't cover very his mouth and kept on working. No gloves was worn by multiple workers. I had to walk out. Very unhappy to go there. Maybe it was a mistake to open up this bakery. I really don't have anything good to say about Brug in Kapolei. What a disappointment! read more

The checkout lady was super rude and extremely short with us because the last customer forgot to select a receipt option so she had to reset it -- it felt like we were being punished for something we didn't do lol. Food was good, but I can just go to Pearlridge for that. read more
