I am from Livonia and this is my favorite restaurant in the city. So many amazing options on its sizable menu. My personal favorites are the mixed berry French toast (best French toast I've ever had) and the chicken pita wrap (best chicken pita wrap I've ever had). One time I went here with my grandparents, cousin and brother. My brother did not want to go because he said his ex worked there. I had never met this ex and didn't know what she looked like, so I texted him when I got there that she wasn't there. He showed up, and to his horror, she was. I have mixed reviews of this place. The first time I went there it was good not great. Got the blueberry pancakes which are pretty hard to get wrong and the 2nd time I went I chose the eggs Benedict which was not good! They have a whole section on the menu dedicated to eggs Benedict which would lead you to believe that was their specialty dish. I ordered the traditional and I really couldn't find anything that would stand out including the English muffin. My husband got a more traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon and French toast (you could select instead of toast) which was a nice option. He also didn't think it was anything exceptional. I will say the coffee is very good. If you do go there they have a lot of other options that may be good like the pancakes. They do have an expansive menu which is good. read more

The food here seems very fresh. Our over easy and poached eggs were perfectly cooked! I ordered the Greek Skillet (make sure to ask for tzatziki sauce) for the second time and it was delicious! My lunch companion ordered the Greek Benedict, and loved the flavor of the olive spread on the English muffin. Where else can you get that?! Very fun! Only two drawbacks: the "creamer" for the coffee is not real half and half, and it's so full of junk that it changes the flavor of the coffee. We were considering not coming back to this restaurant for breakfast since their coffee wasn't tasting all that great, but I asked for a little milk instead, which improved the flavor over the fake creamer immensely. So I recommend either bring your own creamer or ask for some milk if you like cream with your coffee. Otherwise, the coffee is pretty good. The other drawback was the amount of time it took to receive our food. Over 28 minutes we sat waiting for it to come out. And for someone who has to go back to work, it was a very long time to wait for lunch. The food was hot and delicious though, so at least it wasn't sitting there too long getting cold. Went there for a carryout meal. Staff were confused and untrained making mistakes and arguing with one employee who they kept asking g for help from, she actually made the statement to them, "I'm not helping you guys anymore". I ordered a salad and there wasn't any salad dressing or any utensils in the bag when I got to my destination. I called to get a rerefund on the salad and no one that came to the phone knew how to do a refund over the telephone and said I'd have to return there to take care of it. read more

I go here weekly lately. The food is usually very well prepared, and we get excellent service. The decor feels more modern than old cafe, which I like, with a big mural over the kitchen side. The syrup is served waaaarm in a tall glass decanter, and coffee refills are frequent. I can't stand over-easy eggs that are runny gross, and the the chef hits the perfect sweet spot (aka sweet spot eggs) between over-easy and over-medium on request. The fruit is always fresh, and usually includes a generous bowl of cantaloupe, honeydew, and grapes. They make an amazing breakfast crepe here that reminds me of the one served at Zoe's in West Bloomfield (but NOT available at the Livonia location!). It is full of the best breakfast bits and spinach and onions and is simply to die for. There is an eggs plus special that is 2 eggs, 4 bacon or sausage, and (pick 2): hash browns, pancakes, toast, fruit for $6.50. Gluten free pancakes are just $1 more. The tuna salad is dense and filling, but is a simple plate. The omelettes I have not tried, but the Greek one looked awesome. It's a great place! Came here for our second visit for brunch today. We both ordered omelettes that were absolutely delicious and for an excellent price. Service was great, but as we experienced last time, the kitchen was slow. However, for the price and quality of food, the wait wasn't too bad. I will definitely be returning. Stuffy, cold interior. Service was very slow, almost nonexistent. I know there's a staffing shortage everywhere but there was no sense of urgency in anything they were doing. We both ordered the BLTA (blt w/ avocado) and there was barely any avocado but there was almost a whole wedge of iceberg lettuce on there lol. We tried this spot last year and have really enjoyed it since. We've loved the omelettes, corned beef hash (homemade--none of that canned garbage), and their specials! We also have enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice and french pressed coffee. The lunch menu looks nice but we've always stuck to breakfast with one if us offering their savory offerings and the other their sweet. The service has always been prompt--even when they're busy. For a few visits in a row, we were ordering their limoncello crepe special which originally included crepes filled with lemon curd, topped with lemon frosting, blueberries, and whipped cream. We LOVED that special until the last time we got it where the lemon curd was replaced with more lemon frosting which was just too dense in comparison to other visits and less of that lemon flavor we loved. The waffles were cooked well and I liked that they served it with chicken strips rather than wings. I also tried their skillet potatoes which were awesome and spiced well. My first time here. I was in the neighborhood. It's got lots of space so they keep it moving well. The food is average. I wouldn't drive from Detroit to eat here. It's like a Coney Island w/ flare. Made the huge mistake of going here for Mother's Day breakfast with my family. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, and finally had to leave before we ever got it because of other plans for the day. The restaurant was full, and not one single table had food the entire time we were there, yet carry out after carry out kept going out the door. Management should have realized that they needed to stop taking carry out orders to be able to serve their customers that were actually in the restaurant. Completely ruined my Mother's Day morning. We had high hopes for this restaurant based on the busy atmosphere when we walked in on a Saturday morning for brunch. Although it was busy we were able to be seated relatively quickly and our waiter was quick to get us started with drinks. After ordering our food we waited almost an hour for the meal! The prices were all much higher than the menus posted on Yelp that I saw and the kids meals are now $8-9 and that didn't include a drink. My child's Mickey Mouse pancake was cold and dried out like it had been sitting out for an extended period of time. The bacon was so over cooked that my child couldn't even bite off a piece. I got a chorizo skillet which was warm but had almost no flavor- it was really weird. It was a frustrating and expensive experience. We couldn't bring these issues to the attention of our server because he never returned and we didn't have more time to waste waiting for them to make a new meal for my child. The restaurant is packed to capacity with tables- maybe they should scale back the amount of tables and focus on providing better quality food and service. read more

Ordered the berry salad which consisted of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries warm grilled chicken, and avocado over a bed of fields greens and raspberry vinaigrette and served with warm pita bread.
