This Big Boy on Six Mile and Newburgh has new menu with better food to try. We went there with 10 people and we loved everything particularly service by Zeya! (I may have her name wrong due to me hearing but my taste buds are fine!) I had the potatoe pancakes which were plentiful (not hash browns) , wife tried the french toast with a side order of tasty bacon! Lady across from me ordered the slim Jim sandwich which he she said was excellent. One big guy tried the triple decker and could hardly hold it . He was previously not a Big Boy fan but loved his burger and fries . Ditto for the lady next to me who had the original Big Boy. She said it brought back old memories. Coffee was excellent. Could not see at far end of table but all agreed their lunch/breakfast was delicious and a good value for the money! Even a manager came by to check on us. We will be back for sure as we do monthly luncheons together! Very clean atmosphere, waitresses were on the move, this place has sincerely changed. Look at my other reviews ! Too bad we were. Too full to enjoy those delicious pies in the glass cases as we walked out. Ha, next time many just with coffee! This is a 4-4-1/2 restaurant. Help by giving them a visit and add your own review!

I have been eating at the Big Boy chain for over 50 years and in 3 different states. I have eaten at this one off and on for 30 years. The menu has gotten smaller but they did try to keep most people favorites, but half of the menu is breakfast. This one has added pizza so I tried a personal size cheese which extra sauce and they brought the sauce on the side not on the pizza. I had no clue that I had to explain it?!?! My friends got the salad and soup bar. One said the price is a little high for the choices. Service was friendly but not always there. Besides freshing up the walls, it looks pretty much the same as always. Lots of parking. Since there are other places near to eat not sure when I will be back.

This is part of a regional chain, part of the old Big Boy network. A fancy version of a diner/family restaurant. Located in the parking lot of a large stripmall. Inside is a large open seating area, mostly empty. A central salad bar. The food was still good. Clean. They sell pies near the cash register. Staff was fast and friendly, but you would expect that given how empty they were

the floor ,tables are covered in food and garbage. There were only 3 Tables of customers so they were not busy .

Dining in was quite nice. We were able to watch the Tiger game and have an enjoyable mid-day lunch. I love the many TV's and from every seat, you're able to watch. The seating is comfortable and the energy is lively. We had a great server, he was very nice and engaging. The food was satisfying. The Mac and cheese bites were a pleasant surprise. I had a massive salad and it had a tons of ingredients, very fresh and delicious. We also ordered the filet bites and this is a tender and tasty dish. The pretzels are sort of common, nothing too special. Next time, we must order the desserts! They looked so tempting. Overall, I would definitely return. Art and Jake's is fun place to dine.

This is what we ordered and how each item was: Monte Cristo - I was VERY excited about this and it was delicious. It was a giant portion. There is French toast, thic ham, Swiss cheese, icing, and a ton of blueberry compote. I would get this again, but I would ask for the compote on the side. It was delicious but it was a mess! Chorizo breakfast quesadilla - it was tasty, very simple, just eggs cheese and chorizo. It was all in the center, so lots of empty tortilla. I would not get that again, only because I would get something with more components. The side was salsa and sour cream. The eggs were cooked perfectly in it, I'll say that. Potato latke - huge portion for the half order. Very thick and very crispy (deep fried maybe?). It tasted like they were binded with pancake batter. They were not for me, I like them a little more traditional - but my son and husband enjoyed them. They come with a tiny cup of cooked apples and a side of sour cream. It was really nice to find a place with a huge and interesting menu. So much better than a chain, and the food was special and the prices were fair. I'm excited to dine in-person next time.

We tried the following: Sriracha Brussel sprouts- i thought they would have more flavor and heat. We had to ask for extra sauce, eg okay. Overall, this is a decent place for beer lovers, watching sports or having a decent meal at decent prices.

We both had a bourbon cream hot cocoa. It was barely like warm. Marshmallows were toasted nicely on my drink and pretty burnt on the other (I wouldn't have minded burnt marshmallows). The food was just meh... the Yuletide Boursin dip with garlic Parmesan puffs was ok. The "puffs" were fairly heavy and dense. There was far more marinara sauce than anything else. The pesto on top of the marinara sauce was delicious. I would recommend skipping the Maple Bourbon Chicken and Waffles. The waffle was so dry. The applewood bacon was the best part of the dish. The chicken was a bit overcooked, so it was also dry. The good gravy skillet was "peppery" according to my friend - which is literally in the description. She felt it was too peppery. The "over easy" egg was way over cooked! It was over-hard at best. The kicker was when our server asked us if we wanted more water and poured less than a half glass each of water - which was about 3 sips. (And yes, the water pitcher was full, she could have easily filled our glasses). I will add - the hostess was a delight! She greeted us as soon as we walked in, sat us promptly, and told us to enjoy our meals.

Chips and salsa - chips so over fried and also had a lot of small pieces like the bottom of a bag of chips. Deep dish personal pan - way too overcooked and also the bbq chicken pizza was not tasting the way it should. Too much bbq was the table's consensus. Chicken parm - sauce was straight from a can. Like it was fine but didn't taste restaurant style. And the chicken was a little too fried in my opinion. Same with the southern chicken, a lot darker in color than the pictures so definitely over fried. Also our wait time was crazy. We were there longer than 2 hours for a party of 4. We ordered quickly and waited almost 45 mins for our food. 25 mins to get our pizookies at the end. Is that normal? It felt way too long. Our waitress kept disappearing on us too so we couldn't ask for updates. I've been here before and had a great time, I just think it used to be better than what it is now. 3 stars because I know they can do better but honestly was super disappointed with my meal and experience today.

I love a good recommendation on Instagram and do get target ads which I do not mind, that way I keep up with food trends and promos and heard about their $13 deal. So, since I always wanted to try their pizookie and it came with it, we made plans to come here. I always get their sparkling sangria, it is my favorite and you can never go wrong with it, it is light, refreshing, and delicious. We also tried their chocolate beer, which was okay, but on the scale of chocolate beers, would land in the middle of our ratings. But the dark beer with marshmallow was absolutely delicious. Loved that one! I also tried their fruity cider which was very light and easy to drink. They have so many great drink choices and a lot of great non-alcoholic options for the kids who were not present but would love this place. While their deal is great, I did a couple upgrades to my meal. I started with the house salad which was $4 extra, but I love a good house salad at a restaurant with a lot of ranch. I also had their fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. It was very hearty and homestyle, and I do like a homecooked style meal since I cook most of the meals at home. It was quite large, so I took home half. I also upgraded to the Dubai pizookie, since I missed it the first time around and wanted to try it, but the meal deal one comes with a small personal sized one. My husband had the personal pizza which was tasty, but so tiny it looked like it came out of an easy bake over and do did his small pizookie. Still fairly tasty though. I do want to come back, and to be honest, I hope they have their meal deal this summer, because I want to try their endless soup and salad, since I know I already love their salad.
