This is Kristel's Chicken and Jalepeno/corn waffles. It is a definite yes! There's a sweet/spicy sauce over the chicken and waffles for a perfect combination of flavors and spices. Like many other reviews we entered the not busy facility only to be asked if we had a reservation when we said no we were told it would be an hour and twenty minute wait. This is crazy time to wait for breakfast. This is Forney for goodness sakes. Just seat people and serve up the eggs and waffles. It's really not that hard. We have tried going three times. Between this issue and the weak hours of operation we will not be going back. It's too bad the area could use a decent breakfast and brunch place. To update. I won't make reservations for a breakfast restaurant and the other times we came to the facility we didn't know the hours of service. So while we prefer early breakfast we tried to come back at the awesome posted hours only to find out you need a reservation for brunch. Literally the easiest menu items to prep and serve. And yes Chris I am a ACF certified chef so I do know how "difficult" your menu and processes are. Bottom line needing reservations for a model such as this is weak. read more

BAM!!!! Hello! I do not give 5 stars easily and normally not a local resturant however this one earned it from me. Brunch type menu during the day so lots of great choices to choose from. I went with the Fried Catfish and Grits for this first time. You can tell a lot about a Chef with this dish. Of my stars it was fabulous. Every morsel was divine! You get an option for a cornbread, toast or biscuit with your meal so I choose a biscuit and asked for a side of gravy. The biscuit was 3 inches tall at least if not 4 and I'm not sure what they put in their gravy but it is next level. I am already planning next time! I'm thinking Fried Chicken and instead of Waffles pairing with the fluff Whipped Cream with Fresh Strawberry Pancakes. Another guest got the Pancakes and they looked huge, fluffy and divine. When you go ask for Wayne as your server and meet Crystal the new Owner. The price is not inexpensive but you certainly get what you pay for! Go, just go! read more

Forney really needed this. They are amazing. I went on Saturday and everyone was so nice and helpful. The host was professional and our server took his time to explain almost everything on the menu. He checked on us multiple times and made sure we had whatever we needed. We asked so many questions and they answered every one of them and it never seemed like they were rushing us. The food is great, the service is great, and the vibe is amazing. They had a live band when I was there that was very entertaining. I had their fish and grits and it was the best I've ever had. My wife had the sweet potato french toast. And we had crab cakes too which was fresh and tasty. The amount of food you get is a lot, so don't over order. I don't usually leave reviews but this place blowed me away. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Had a reservation for 5.....1 person end up coming later. The person arrived right after we received our food. Since the one guest was late...the owner told us they would have to get their food to go. It's one thing about customer service (and) sticking to a policy. So I ask....if I order something else, it would be brought to me. But that one person would still have to get their food to go. We were still spending money and still eating mind you. To be a Manager or Owner David.....to be rude and unprofessional blows my mind. Will never spend another time in that place! The service was immaculate. From the hostess and host at the door. The server was knowledgeable of menu items and provided honest feedback when questioned about menu items. The tables were arranged neatly and with ample space. The music in the air was delightful and reminded us today growing up in the 90s and 2000s. The order took a bit of time to come out from time ordered to placing on the table. I ordered the sweet potato stuffed French toast and baileys espresso. Both were delicious. My better half ordered fish and grits with her eggs on the side and a piece of corn bread with the fish blackened. We shared our food and were blown away by the flavors. To me the toast was not overwhelmed by the sweet potato. Wish there was more in it due to the amount of bread. The cheese grits were phenomenal. The fish was blackened just right. The cornbread was fluffy and delicious. Both of us would recommend trying this spot. 8/10. Definitely will return in the future. read more

We ate there today and they had live music and the singer had my daughter come up and dance and shouted out happy birthdays to all the ladies in the room. The host was amazing. She checked on us periodically at the bar and at are table and even chatted with us upon leaving. Exceptional expierence Our server was great I didn't catch her ename but she was on point. Food pricing was a little high but expected and the food was good and great portion sizes. We got mimosas and a pitcher which was all great. People came in for thirty minutes in parties of two and were seated ahead of us. Not going back. Owner says now "reservations seated first". I had the Kristel's chk &waffles. They were really flavorful. It came with jalapeño cornbread waffles and a sweet &spicy sauce that the wings were tossed in and eggs. Since I like a LITTLE HEAT both of the combinations were too spicy for ME. But I was not able to make changes.(4) The eggs seemed powered ( if you like that). My husband's Wings &Waffles (5)and my friends had the crab cakes (which she gave 5 ) her husband had the seafood greens gumbo was OFF THE HOOK, OMG and the Jerk Oxtail's & grits. They looked delicious. He gave them 5. Service was good not Great. But I'm sure she was busy. The only parts that I hope change are the rules of rice not being served before 5:00 pm on Sunday. Here is my honest review. We visited 6/19/2024, we made it at 1:23pm put our names on the list was told it was a 45 minute wait. Since it was our first visit we didn't know there was space to wait inside. We went back at 45 mins. No room we waited another 15 went in cause it was warm outside. To then wait in the lounge area for 15 min.The window seals were filled with flies kind of a turn off. We were seat we waited 10 to 15 mins for the waiter. She was sweet and kind. we received drinks 15 mins later. The wait staff was stretched thin. The food that we could order was tasty. We order the banana pudding pancakes and a side of wings. Very flavorful and good portion. My girls loved the chicken. My Aunt ordered the fish and grits. She said the flavor of all the food was good the grits were cold. All of the plate came at different times so that was awkward trying to eat together. I had plans on getting the Waffles but they were not available due to no eggs for the batter being available. In addition there were a few other things missing from the menu. Make a reservation and have some patience. Might not want to bring kids cause they will not last. read more
