Great place. My grandmother and I come here a few times a month, I always get the chicken fried chicken and it's awesome. Whatever my grandmother gets is great! The food was ok. We came in with 6 people for breakfast and they hid a 20% gratuity up charge on us. So the waitress ended up with a 40% tip. First of all, I've never heard of a group of six getting charged a large group fee. Generally eight or more. Second, you should tell the table that you've already added that 20% on there. It feels disgusting and like you just lied and hid a fee on us. The food definitely was not worth the amount of money that we paid for it that day. Save your money, go to the location in Arlington. Everyone is much friendlier and they are actually attentive to your experience. I had to wait 15 minutes for a refill on my drink. I had to ask for my side of toast, and i was given the cold toast and got told " sorry I forgot about the toast in the toaster", and proceeded to give me the 15 minute forgotten toast. Every waitress around us was talking the whole time. They weren't checking up on tables at any point. I could of gotten up and gotten my own refill and they wouldnt of even noticed. The person cashing us out was just talking to his coworkers about doing a no call no show the next day. Management really needs to retrain all servers. Food is typical for breakfast. Eggs, hash browns and crispy thin bacon. Pancakes were good. Coffee was surprisingly tasty. Service is good a lot of movement around the table was stuck in the middle of the room .. the air from the movement of them made the food cold fast so your rushing to eat a warm meal from the time you got it. Sunday was a very busy day so expect a wait to be seated. The manager that is the Mexican young man at the register was rude and would not give my Seniors citizens discount to me. read more

Busy this Sunday morning. Wait time was about 15 minutes arriving about 10:30AM for a party of 4. Atmosphere has a busy and bustling feel but overall noise level is contained and not over bearing. Server was very good and efficient. Food was very good ordering the breakfast. They have a senior citizen special combination. I got the Senior pancake combo and wife got the 1/2 waffle combination. Consists of the named item and 2 eggs cooked to order with choice of bacon or sausage patty. Wife enjoyed how the bacon was cooked, crispy and not burnt s she ordered. Daughter got the Migas breakfast. Baby fed off of our plates. Coffee was good. Overall would recommend this eatery without hesitation. Notes lots of people waiting to be seated as we left. Seems like a popular place for breakfast and lunch. Advertised as "home cooking" and it seems that way at least for breakfast. read more

The food was good, nothing to lose sleep over. The most disappointing was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits compare to KFC, soft, but not flaky or buttery as expected. The gravy was flavorless though, and no trace of sausage in the gravy. The chicken fried steak skillet was good, came out piping hot. The waffle slider skillet was also good. 3/5, don't think I'd come back, but if I do, I want to try the churros they advertise. read more

The best senior menu arround. I picked the pork chop that are Homemade pan fried . The pork chop was huge . It was big enough for two people. The pinto beans were homemade beans , you can taste the bacon flavor off it. The mashed potatoes were soo tasty more like home made, at least they were not tastless like cardboard . Ordered my entree grilled, received fried, which some of us can't eat fried. Order was returned and corrected, but by the time I finally received my food, I had no time to eat it, so it had to be packed up to go. When brought to the cashier's attention, someone stepped in who seemed to be a manager, acting like he was going to do something about it. Snatched my card out of my hand, charged me full price, no compensation & got attitude to boot. Even a gift card would have gone a long way toward good will. What the heck happened to this place? When this was still PJ'S cafe (pre-2024) it was a slam dunk place to go. (Where it is, was, at one time a very special italian Restaurant). Sine selling to the conglomerate that runs it (and other cafes/restaurants), it has gone steadily downhill! The 'friendly' waitstaff is no longer there, Lisa, the wondeeful cashier has left. The food is worse than bad. The service terrible, young, uncaring waitstaff. All 'old regular' customers have left; probably gone back to Joe's Coffee shop in South Irving, or the Kountry cafe on 183. I realize there is such a thing as 'progress' but this did not make the cut for progress. It has digressed in every possible way. Don't waste your time/money on this eatery! Find Tio carlos (just North of here, East side of O'Connor) get a fantastic Avocado Enchillada! read more

This place has been getting a lot of buzz and I understand why. Not much from the outside located in a shopping center but on the inside it offers plenty of dining space and an extensive menu with something for everyone! They have your traditional down home American combos, benedicts, omelettes, skillets, steak & eggs, chicken fried chicken, waffles, and a Tex-Mex menu. I was so overwhelmed with all the delicious breakfast options that I didn't even look at the lunch menu! They also have smoothies and a few different coffee options. We tried the Café de Olla that came in beautiful Mexican pottery mugs served with a cinnamon and sugar mix and a little heart shaped cookie. It was a beautiful presentation and delicious! I got the huevos rancheros with crispy red potatoes and my husband got the chicken fried chicken skillet. Both were delicious good portions and reasonably priced. The service was also great! All the staff were very friendly and attentive and the place was full of regulars who we engaged with including a senior who appreciated their senior menu offering 55+. The atmosphere was friendly and appropriate for all ages. We went on Friday morning but I bet they pack out on weekends. We will definitely return to try other menu options. read more
