This is a nice neighborhood brunch spot. It was a good find by me and my family. Conveniently located off the intersection of Dundee and Arlington Heights roads in a shopping center, Brunchy's serves up delicious American breakfast/ lunch fare. The restaurant had an inviting atmosphere, the decor was nice, and the service was friendly. Their menu had a good variety. I ordered their Carnitas Skillet and Orange Lemon Marmalade pancakes. Good choice for a delicious brunch at a very reasonable price. This spot is located in a shopping center that is generally not super busy, making it a bit easier to navigate around than some of the other spots nearby. Prices on average are a bit lower than other breakfast spots in the area as well, though the service is good, presentation is good, portion size is good, and ingredient quality is good - this is simply a better value option in this area of the suburbs. There are also quite a bit of Mexican dishes, both sweet and savory available on this menu. The size of this restaurant makes it a bit easier to casually spend more time here as the tables are fairly well spaced and it doesn't feel crowded. The decor feels cozy and the ambiance matches this feel as well, along with very polite and speedy service. The food here is enjoyable. The preparations themselves aren't super complex, but textures are fairly good and presentation is a bit above average. Flavors could be a bit more bold, but seem to lean a bit more on the healthier side -- which I feel is the tendency to use more main ingredients and herbs for flavor rather than overusing spices or sauces. Overall, solid spot to enjoy breakfast flavors at a slightly lower price point. Brunchy's Pancakes and Cafe recently opened and I wanted to try it out. The restaurant is really large and has lots of seating. When we were there, the restaurant was decorated nicely for Christmas. On their stage was a couch, tree, and other decorations suitable for picture taking. I got the double chocolate pancakes. They were malty and tasted great. I took half of them home for breakfast the next day. After brunch, my family took pictures on stage. Our server was nice and friendly. I highly recommend Brunchy's Pancakes and Cafe. read more

I had an early lunch at the Brunchy's with my friend. The place is nice and spacious. The food selection is extensive. I had a Reuben panini sandwich and it was very good. The portions are large so I saved a half of a sandwich for later. The sweet potato fries are definitely worth the extra 1.50. I like trying new breakfast/brunch places because I feel like they're always hit and miss and I'm not thrilled with the others in the area. Unfortunately, this place has some things to work on. We got takeout on Saturday - a Nova Lox Benedict and a Waffle Super Combo. I was pretty happy with my benedict but the hollondaise was really thick. It still tasted alright and the eggs were cooked well, which is always a plus. The hashbrowns were alright - a little white and completely unseasoned. At least they were cooked all the way through and were still edible, just not really tasty. The waffle was good, although it's not really waffle batter but pancake batter shaped into a waffle. You might think there isn't much of a difference, but it's not as crispy and airy as it's supposed to be. The pancake/waffle did taste good, but also really plain. I wouldn't have eaten it by itself, but the syrup kind of saved it. The sausage links that came in the combo were tasty and the eggs were ordered scrambled, so hard to mess that up. Eggs were also unseasoned however. It was really busy when we went to get the pick up order and took way longer than the quoted time. That sucks, but it's mostly understandable for new restaurants to figure out their pacing. The biggest downside is the cost. Everything is really expensive and at that price point it should all just be better. I'm hoping with some time they will find their footing. I'd give them another try at a later time, but right now it's hard to justify the cost with so many problem. I also wish they would condense their menu - too many items doesn't usually make for quality. read more

We wanted to try this new breakfast spot in town and went on a Saturday around mid morning. The place was busy, but not totally full. Very first impression was that our table - although it had been wiped down seconds before we were seated - still had food particles and crumbs on it. Not the best first impression. The waitress was ok. There was the tiniest bit of a language barrier but we worked through it. She brought the food in stages, with many minutes in between each item. The worst thing ever? Of course not - just a bit disappointing. Food - The food was an overall B- rating. The homestyle potatoes were very undercooked but so saturated in oil that that was all you could taste. They substituted hash brown which were a little better, but not great. Pancakes were good, I'll give them that. Omelettes were decent. After the meal we waited and waited .... and waited for our check but she never came back. We finally went to the hostess stand and they were able to pull up our bill based on our table number. Will we go back? No. There are just too many other really great breakfast options in our area, and the sub-par far exceeded the decent aspect. read more

My husband triple berry French toast that was topped by a spring of mint and an orchid and tasted even better that it looked. My South Beach Skillet was perfect. Coffee was excellent. This is a relatively new breakfast and lunch restaurant in Buffalo Grove Illinois located in a strip mall. Service is very good. They have an extensive menu with many selections. I recently ordered Triple Berry Crepes . It tasted delicious and the presentation was excellent. It was served with a purple orchid. This is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. This establishment is very clean, warm and friendly. It is decorated with a platform if you'd like to take photos. They offer homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, breakfast entrees and desserts. Went here for my first time Saturday. The food wasn't bad. I had a skillet and side of pancakes. I'm very picky when it comes to pancakes so I have to say it was good. The service was ok. I sat at the counter watching college football. Everyone there you can tell are very hard working. It was very busy with customers and everyone was awesome helping each other out. Served cold food twice. I received cold eggs, sent them back only to wait 10 minutes to get them back cold again. My wife ordered a chorizo omelet, it was missing the main ingredient, chorizo. The food had cooking oil mixed in with it ,hash browns and my corn beef. We did not eat our food and when asked if everything was good, we expressed what was wrong, and the manager who never came to our table took the price of a cup of coffee off our bill. homestyle potatoes were more like thanksgiving potatoes then breakfast ones and the hash brown potatoes we told them put onion in them instead of mixing in they were just on top and was too oily., the avocado toast most restaurants give 2 slices they gave one and most everything on menu was too pricy!
