Its funny cause one of the first reviews you see is this Bette. c person claiming they are ripping people off and doing shady businesses pretty heavy claim but if you read her comment it would show her math is terribly wrong she said they charged her 50 when they should have charged her around 36. she got three dinners at 12.50 a pop that's more then 36 alone 37.50 to be exact then she got the 1/4 pound of meat which would have been another 3 dollars or so that's 40.50 then she got flan that was 6$ that's almost 47$ plus tax would be 50$ smh it's sad when people don't even realize their own ignorance and to say these people there are basically robbing people Is crazy . Got takeout here a few months ago. Pernil was wonderful & juicy, rice, beans were great. we are giving 3 stars because of them selling maduros when they are not fully ripe. Also, the alcapurrias were extremely dry, possibly cause they were old. Make sure you eyeball them prior to ordering. Didn't take pictures back then, but both alcapurrias were not edible so they went straight to the garbage. read more

I was so high off it, I was going to sell my Camry on the street and take the money to buy beans. This place is the SPOT. The food is always fresh and I can tell you that for a fact. The owners are real people that genuinely care & they donate too back to puerto rico due to hurricane maria. Amazing food all around! Not a fancy place. Just great food. I can list off how good each dish is, but why bother when they are all so good. There is no bad choice in a place like this. The owner (i think) told me the plantains were not up to his normal standards and they are still good but not the normal ones he serves, you know your in a place with great food and honest people. I tried them at the Garlic Festival in Saugerties and I was THRILLED to see how good it was. The alcapurrias were huge and delicious and not greasy! I wish they were in Saugerties every day!! I've gotten a bunch of different things here, all of them were good. The sweet bananas that come with the meal are awesome, their pernil is awesome, the mashed potato balls with meat in them (rellenos de papa) AWESOME. The food is a bit greasy, but in a good way. Service is super friendly. One night we went with a big group and they only had limited food left, so they shut down the restaurant and served us an assortment of whatever they had left, and it was all good. They also have an assortment of tropical sodas to choose from, and flavored ices for desert. I'm guilty of driving almost an hour just to get dinner here, and despite ALL of the restaurants in Middletown I always beg my wife to go here when we are in the area. read more

Wow really good. I got the chicken stew and it was great. Delicious potatoes, chicken on the bone, yellow rice with olives, and these fried bananas. Jackpot. You can see them cooking in the back which is fun. It's a little tight space wise so if that's a problem you can get your meal to go.
