We were very much looking forward to trying this new streak house. Once they finally opened we got to see the menu. I think they lost their way. This is Norco. Not Beverly Hills. Everything is single served and over priced. We calculated out to have a dinner for 2 not even including drinks or appetizers, we were looking at over 350 bucks. Just for 2 of their lower end steaks and 2 sides. Suffice to say we are very disappointed. You can get an excellent steak here not even a mile away, full dinner for 2, including drinks, appetizers, desserts for under 100 dollars, in a nicer atmosphere. I don't know what Brunks was thinking but I think they need to consider lowering thier prices to a more acceptable range or move their location to one where people can actually afford to pay way too much for their food. read more

First time visiting and honestly hard to believe it was only their soft opening! The service was excellent,staff were attentive, professional, and very efficient. The space isn't huge and it's tucked just a little off the main path, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Our table of three shared the Fillet, Lobster Tail, and Porterhouse as mains, with sides of the wedge salad, Brussels sprouts, and French fries. Every dish was spot-on, beautifully prepared and full of flavor. What stood out most was the balance: you get the service and ambiance of a high-end prime steakhouse, but with a relaxed Norco vibe where you can go casual or "cowboy formal." We looked at the website to see the hours of business and it said open. We arrived at 400 p.m. only to be greeted by a surly young man that stated they don't open till 430. We asked if reservations were needed and he said yes and checked availability and the soonest we could have been seated was 730. The establishment smells odd. Three of us went to this steakhouse in Norco. The restaurant was staffed entirely by white employees and most of the patrons were white as well except 1 large party. Three servers walked past us (greeted) before we were sat. It was a bit busy but not one employee could have sat us... whatever. When a server came, we asked to sit at a larger table that seats eight. They refused, saying they were holding it in case a bigger party came in, that's understandable. The only other options were a cramped corner table or two small tables that only sat two, so that wasn't an option. We decided to just sit at the bar instead. About twenty minutes later, two old white customers came in and were immediately seated at the large eight-person table we had been told wasn't available. At that point, we chose to leave. I'm sure the food might be good but Norco will continue to be Norco. All money is green. read more

I agree with the 1 star and 2 star reviews, this place is way overpriced considering ambience, location, and portion. Cocktails are $20! They're not even priced that much at most fine dining places. Appetizers are pricey too, a shrimp cocktail is $19 for 4 medium sized shrimp. Also, a glass of wine- cheapest is $14 and a super small portion. I get the steaks being priced high but everything else, not worth it. I think they should be catering to their community. read more

I'll start off with the food was good but my steak was over cooked. They did however ask if I wanted to get a new steak. The experience was not so great. I ordered an appetizer and never received it. I also ordered a second drink which I never received but I believe it was never placed because it was not on our bill and the server never mentioned it. I do have to mention the place was not very busy when we dined. The staff had a few chances to stand around and talk to each other. I wouldn't have a problem with that if we received our food or drink as ordered. If the experience was better I would have given it more stars. Husband and I came here for a date night on Saturday. We had 6:30 reservations and thankfully we did. It was PACKED. We arrived around 6:15 (which was early) and was told we could sit at the bar to wait. I believe they didn't have a table available well after our reservations. But I mean, after sitting and dining, I don't blame the other patrons for staying longer! We sat at the bar and the first thing I noticed was wine from Fess Parker! I was SO EXCITED as I'm a member of a couple of wineries out in Solvang! It was so cool to see! Side Note- if you haven't been to that winery, you must! The grounds are gorgeous! We got our drinks and sat and chatted and looked around. We loved how long the bar was for seating. Super nice. The restaurant is small, but in a very good way! The atmosphere was gorgeous and being able to see inside the aging room was cool and seeing the cooks do their thing was neat! The bartenders were super friendly and nice! The sides are shareable, they are not portion sizes at all. Which works for us who want a little taste of everything! GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS. OH MY WORD! I even asked if they would do catering of some of the sides for a party- it was that good! The entire night was super nice. We couldn't even get dessert because of how full we were. My husband loved the steak! He said and I quote "finally a place that knows how to properly salt and season meat". I laughed. My hanger steak was so good and juicy! We loved it and will most definitely come back! Make a reservation! Yes the prices are high, but honestly it was worth each bite! I had been here a few times this month. One for my birthday and another just because. Salads are very disappointing for the cost. $11 for a salad that's full of weeds, one tomato and a few pickled onions was disappointing. The Ceasar salad dressing was disappointing. Too much mayo. Wouldn't order them again. The spring salad was good, but pricy. Hanger steak, incredibly delicious. Lobster great! Ribeye, was okay. Mashed potatoes were different both visits, very delicious! Mac n cheese was good. Service was good, can tell it's a newer restaurant. Things could have been better. No salt or pepper offered. Had to ask for refills. Candied Bacon starter was excellent. Ordered a Hanger Steak MR. Cooked perfectly and tender. Real hanger steak, not flap meat. Chef's choice mashed potatos were very tasty. My friend had the Creme brulee and I almost stole it from him. Overall, I was very pleased with everything, but the prices were pretty tall, however, every part of my experience was excellent and you do not get what you don't pay for. I'll go again. We had 8:30 reservations the Saturday before last, but when we arrived, the place looked like it was already closed. Once we walked in, we were told the kitchen had shut down, but we could sit at the bar for drinks. We mentioned that we had a dinner reservation confirmed by phone, and the hostess went to check with the kitchen. She came back and said they could accommodate us only if we ordered right away. We decided to just sit at the bar instead and the bartender was fantastic, but we ended up not ordering food since it was pretty clear the staff wasn't happy we'd shown up at our reserved time. Went last night with my family. The service and the food were extraordinary. We started off with a charcuterie board and calamari. Those were demolished quick by our 3 kids. After, we ordered the porterhouse, Wagyu ribeye, flat iron steak and chicken fettuccini alfredo. We accompanied it with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The steaks more cooked to perfection. Each cut was so tender and flavorful. My kids are not big meat eaters, hence the pasta order, but even they were begging for more portions of each steak. It was filling! Great new spot in the heart of Norco to grab a good steak. This is going to be a hidden gem. Showed up with no reservation ...which you should have but they were cool and let us sit at the bar. Tye decor and vibe was on point with Norco and everything was comfortable and homey. We ordered two ol fashions, a ribeye, mac and cheese and the Brussels sprouts. Wanted to give a great review for a new steakhouse in Norco. Unfortunately I'm not able to. The steaks were cooked well (bone in ribeye and center cut filet both medium rare). Seasoning was lacking. The demi-glacé was ok. Mashed potatoes were cold. Brussel sprouts were delicious. Ordered the chef's seasonal salad. Salad had no dressing on it, which was quickly brought to the table when waiter was informed. When asked for some cracked pepper a pepper shaker was brought to the table. Turns out, no cracked pepper was available/offered. I may be naïve, but if you spend $22 on a salad at a higher end steakhouse, I would recommend offering cracked pepper. Another surprise, when the bill was produced, was the $25 bottle fee. The surprise was not the fee, it was $75 for three bottles (all Reds). When you're charged that, I would think we would get red wine glasses, wine poured, and not have to do it ourselves. The $75 covered the wine bottles being opened and white wine glasses being used. I suggested to our waitress that may be $25 for the original to cover the glasses, etc. but maybe $10 per additional bottle as nothing extra was done. Just corked the bottles. Hoping to try Brunks steakhouse again. And giving better review in a month or two. Want them to succeed. read more

Also want to point out that this place was very attentive to our needs considering we have a special needs child with autism and only eats French Fries and although it was not on the menu they made sure they had them for us at the time of our reservations. The steak was hands down the best in town--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Brussels sprouts were absolutely to die for; they were so good that I even asked for the recipe because I couldn't help myself . Michael, our server, was fantastic. A Promising New Steakhouse with Room for Improvement, in Horse Town USA. My family and I recently visited the new Brunk's Steakhouse in Norco, and we have some mixed but definitely hopeful thoughts. This place has a lot of potential, especially with high-quality food, but there are a few areas that need attention. Hints the 4 star instead of 5 The Food: The star of the show is the steak. The meat itself was very flavorful and juicy with amazing mouth watering taste in every bite, and clearly of a top/excellent grade. Exceptional Quality Steaks. However, a significant issue was the consistency of how it was cooked, (We believe in time this will be resolved) During our visit, three steaks were sent back to the kitchen because they were not prepared as ordered. My husband's steak was also undercooked for his preference, but he ate it anyway to avoid the hassle. On a brighter note, the side dishes were exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed the very tasty and delicious wedged salad, dinner salad, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, corn on cob, and the white mac and cheese. A great feature is that these sides are generously sized for sharing, which makes for a great family-style meal. The drink selection is also impressive, from ice-tea and foundation drinks served with crunchy ice to a wide range of alcoholic beverages. There is a beautiful open bar to indulge your alcoholic beverages. The Service & Ambiance: Hostess, is adorable and sweet. Our waiter had a great personality, and the service was good, but they could be more attentive to customers' needs during their dining experience. The interior of the restaurant is cute and has a unique layout. You can get a view of the cooks preparing the food from some tables, while others offer a view of the outside horse trails or of raw meat hanging in coolers. Being located in Horsetown, across from a feed store and off a horse trail, this makes it an unique restaurant but it does had a noticeable fly problem. A Concern to consider, Flies were flying around our table and inside the windows, making it hard to keep them away from our delicious food. This was a significant drawback. A suggestion for the management would be to install a high velocity air vent by the entry to help with this issue or something to that nature. **Overall, this steakhouse has a fantastic product with its high-quality, flavorful steaks and tasty side dishes.
