I've used Bruno Ferazza Tree Service for many years now. Both to remove overgrowth from neighbors Bradford Pear trees and to remove other trees completely and grind down the stumps and major surface roots at my houses and my mother's house. David is very good at being punctual for giving an estimate and usually the prices are inline with other tree services. David even came out himself to finish off some stump grinding and surface roots that were left at my mother's because of her plants being in the way. After she passed, the plants were relocated and David came back for a nominal fee. I appreciate his crew as well, very polite, well spoken, and know what they're doing. David Ferazza came to my house and promptly gave me a bid on trimming two trees. We set up a date for the work to be done and David kept me reminded and informed of the work schedule. A team of 4 came to trim our trees. They were prompt, knowledgeable and pleasant. They asked me if their work met my satisfaction. I received a very inflated estimate from another Arborist, so I took a chance and bought an Angies list deal, (200 for 400$ worth of services) and had David Ferraza from Bruno Ferraza tree service come out. David was thorough, courteous and said that although he was booked up 2 months in advance, he would try to squeeze me in in the next few weeks. He called me and said he could fit me in the following week. I was quite pleased to get it done before all the oak leaves were going to land in my yard! Two days before the work was scheduled, he called me to say he was having problems with his wood chipper and needed to take it in for service. I was disappointed and a little skeptical, but what can you do? Either it was a lie or it was the truth. Regardless, my job wasn't going to be done on the date we had scheduled, so I resigned myself to having purchased another bad deal on Angie's Big Deal. (I have had several of these deals be unsatisfactory.) He (David Ferraza) called me the very next day and said that he was going to try to rent a chipper and still do my service on the day we had originally scheduled the service. I knew doing that would cost him additional money, and I was so impressed that he went above and beyond like that. I still wasn't sure that it would happen, and neither was he. i didn't hear back from him again on Sunday, so when Monday morning came, i assumed my job wasn't getting done. He called me early Monday morning, as I was leaving for work, told me he had good news, that he got his chipper repaired more quickly than he expected, and wouldn't need a rental, so could I please leave the gate open so he could do the work? Luckily he did catch me before I left. I came home and what a difference! David was thorough, left no mess and now there is lots more light in my backyard. I did lose some privacy, but the extra light should allow other trees and plants in my yard to grow. I was sad to lose one of my trees (a big palm that was just too close to the house), but it had to be done. I would hire him back in a heartbeat and can't remember anyone who communicated as well and went above and beyond the call of duty. So many other tradespeople give you all kinds of stories for why they can't complete the work they promised in a timely manner, but David was telling the truth, and then did everything possible to make sure he did right by me and still completed the job on the original agreed-to date. I wish I could have paid by credit card-he only accepts checks. At least that's what he told me. read more

I was in awe watching the crew work with professionalism, safety and ease. I can't elaborate enough how good these guys were with the tough job they had with my HUGE Bradford pear tree that kept breaking off large branches during windy days. We needed to remove two 40 foot Redwood trees, stupidly planted behind our tract home by the builder almost 20 years ago. Redwood trees are beautiful and wonderful things; I love them ... just not in my back yard too close to buildings, rapidly becoming huge, and posing a threat if they should topple in a storm. I saw a $200 half price deal from this company for tree work and called to see what that would afford me in the way of tree removal. This got the 2 largest redwoods cut down, all the branches and brush removed and notches cut into the stumps so I could add the necessary chemicals so they would die and not grow back. I would have liked to have the stumps ground out but that would have cost more that I didn't feel I could afford at this time. The 3 man crew showed up when they were scheduled. I live in Loomis and have 7 Fruitless Mulberry trees growing over a very large shade garden - 50' x 25' in the front and 25' x 40' along the side. After calling into the office they were able to com across the street the same day and trim my trees back off my roof for a fair price. These guys were great! Their price was a lot lower than most and nearly half of the highest bid (and the highest bidder didn't even have worker's comp). They showed up on time, worked carefully and efficiently (I was worried because the tree was in a tight fit between two houses), were friendly, polite and considerate the whole time. Elliot even saved a bird's nest full of fledgelings (without asking) by removing it from the tree that was being cut, then climbing to the top of a nearby tree and carefully placing it on a high limb so the cats wouldn't get it! Two of the fledgelings got away and they helped catch them and put them back in the nest. They love their work - they sing country songs when they are way high up in the trees! R James read more

After David came in response to the RFQ on Angie's List and did the walk through, we scheduled a date and time. Julio, John, and John showed up as scheduled and on time. I walked them through what I needed done and they went right to work. Julio climbed and John and John were his ground support. He did a terrific job on the tree in the front yard and then went to work on the jungle that was my neighbors overgrown trees planted too close to the fence. Needless to say, he worked his butt off and earned his pay. John and John were constantly helping him and moving tree limbs out to the front to throw into the chopper. They showed up around 8:45 and were done by 3:00 plus driving time and dump time. So, the money I paid for the job was appropriate. Julio even pruned my lemon tree as it has a lot of lemons on it and some branches were just way too heavy. I highly recommend using this tree service. I gave them my daughter-in-laws address and # because she and her husband need to have a tree removed. A+ team all round. read more

Bruno Ferazza Tree Service cut down a tree and ground out the stump in my front yard. The day of the job, a 3-member crew was very prompt (a little early) and started work right away cutting down the tree. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I didn't have to worry about damage done by falling limbs to my remaining plants or to the neighbor's yard because they protected the plants with canisters and knew what they were doing in directing the fall of the limbs and the tree trunk. As the crew was cleaning up and chipping up the downed tree, the owner, David Ferazza, arrived with the stump grinder which he himself operated. That job went fast and efficiently as well. With the right crew, equipment, and know-how, my job was done in no time and no stress. David was very pleasant and helpful from the time of his estimate visit to the time of his departure when the job was completed. This work was of great value to me! read more
