I have been going to Ricardo's for years and always have the owner Ricardo do my hair. No matter what style or color I want to try he always makes it look great. He goes to Europe often and comes home with new ideas and since my favorite thing is to reinvent my look every year it works for me. I live at the beach and make the trip because the quality is equal to what I experenced here, but the prices are much better at Ricardo's. I was in town traveling on business and needed a hair cut, but didn't want to go to a standard hair cutting place. A friend referred me to Ricardo's for he'd great things to say about it's staff and general quality of hair cutting. That's all I needed to know. Coming from where I live in Dallas, TX, where high maintenance hair salons ("Big Texas Hair..") is the prevailing way of life, I came in to Ricardo's and was very surprised at the high-energy, high-end atmosphere that existed there. No doubt, I thought that this was going to be one of those salons with major attitudes and impersonal staff, like many do have..., but this one was sooo different. First, whoever runs this business certainly knows what they're doing and knows what good customer service is all about. The staff was amazingly friendly and had no attitude; they treated me like I've been coming there for years as their best customer. They could've easily sported a the "salon tude", but they were quite the opposite, which again was so surprising since it had that Beverly Hills high-end environment feel...so something wasn't synching up. Anyways, I was greeted by Rick who led me back to his station, which was a cool place with his TVs going with a football game one. He instinctively knew that I only wanted to "executive cut" (a cut that doesn't really look like you got one, but looks clean and trimmed just enough...). He gave me a great cut and the price was right for the level of service and attention. Keep up the excellent work Ricardo's and don't change a thing you're doing. I have very long hair and have had trouble finding the right place to handle it. Not anymore! I went to Ricardo's today and Rosa cut my hair. I told her that I wanted to keep it long, but change the look and she did such an amazing job. Best cut ever. She listens to you and has a good suggestions if you ask. I tried this salon when I needed a good colorist fast. Based on Yelp reviews I asked for Stephanie. She is very personable and spent extra time on me learning my hair and the cut and color I wanted. Something I really appreciate is she does one person at a time, start to finish; so you're not languishing under the dryer while she cuts someone else's hair. I have a lot of white hair around my face so I wanted a soft blonde weave to tie it to my darker hair in the back. And Stephanie did a masterful job. My hair looks so natural I can hardly believe it's colored myself! Once I got home and began to play with it a bit, I realized it was a little too long on top. I called Stephanie the next day; She had a totally positive attitude and she had a gap in her schedule and took me right in. She cut the top shorter and then blended the layers all over my head to the new length. Now it's perfect and although she took her time, it was no charge. No one else will ever touch my hair as long as Stephanie is here. read more

I don't know why I haven't reviewed this gem in Anaheim Hills. Maybe because I don't want my secret to get out. Rosa is the best stylist ever! Cut , color, style, you name it she does it great! She listens to what you want to do , gives you her opinion on how to achieve it, or perhaps modify it to suit your look and make you look your best. Anyone that has had their hair colored by her usually have told me they regret not going to her before. Rosa gets 5 stars! She keeps up on all the latest styles and techniques. You can't miss her, she is always so beautifully coiffed that it inspires you to do the same. But, since the review is for the salon as a whole I would give it 4 stars. I agree with previous reviews that state some other stylists here are rude. Management might want to take note of that, since all employees impact customer service. Also, a little update on the decor would help. The salon does look a little tired compared to all the other super spa salons opening up out there. And, would it kill u to have some good coffee, wine or champagne? Just asking? Come on Ricardo's lets get with the times... You guys are in an upscale area. But enough rambling on my part, go see Rosa if you need a makeover, if you want to change your look, or if you just want to look great. And, if she can't squeeze you in she will give you a great recommendation to tide you over until she has an opening. read more

Courtney did my hair today and it looks great! She is very professional, has a great personality and knew exactly what to do with my hair. I am very particular about my hair because I am a licensed cosmetologist and I know the business. She knew how to blow dry my hair without using excessive heat or pulling it and my just the way I like it without having to say much to her. She has natural talent.
