I placed an order well before closing time for delivery. The store was open for another 40+ minutes, but my order was suddenly canceled with no explanation. When I called, I was told, "We're too busy." That was it. No apology. No accountability. Just flat-out laziness and a total lack of basic customer courtesy. If you're too busy to fulfill orders, turn them off--don't accept them and then bail. So I left a negative review on another platform. The owner, Jon, responded publicly, apologizing and asking me to email him directly so he could "make things right." It *sounded* sincere, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and sent an email with screenshots and details, just like he asked. That was over 10 days ago. He never replied. Let that sink in: the owner responded *publicly* to look like he cared... then completely ghosted me in private. No follow-up, no apology, no resolution--just silence. His response was pure optics. Performative damage control, nothing more. So now I'm left with a wasted evening, a canceled order, and the bitter realization that the owner's empathy is **fake**. He says what sounds good for the sake of reputation, but when it comes to actually doing the right thing? He's nowhere to be found. This place has no integrity--from the dismissive employees to the owner who pretends to care. If you're thinking about supporting this business, I'd seriously reconsider. Bruster's is one of those ice cream parlors that's really good but I always forget about. It's mainly because I only know of two locations (one back where I went to college and this one, which is nearby where I used to live). Bruster's boasts that it makes its ice cream & frozen yogurts in-store. I can't confirm or deny that, but I do know that the ice cream is really good. They have a large variety of selections to choose from despite being such a small location. However I'm a man of habit, so I get strawberry the majority of the time. Their strawberry is as good as I've had anywhere else. It's firm (not too soft), has an excellent balance of tart-strawberry flavor and sweetness with strawberry bits, is very smooth, and has a good creaminess to it. My only problem is that there is 1 table with outdoor seating that's open. They could easily add another. Inside, they are still practicing COVID protocols and have removed their entire space of any tables & seating. So after getting my ice cream with my friend the other day, we actually had to walk to Publix to sit down and enjoy the ice cream. Of course, the heat was sweltering, so our ice cream cones melted pretty fast despite our best efforts to outpace the melt. Overall, I'd recommended Bruster's if you're in the area and looking for a sweet treat. I know there's lots of places in either direction to Nolensville or Nashville, but this shop serves this area pretty well. read more

Thought to come here after a hot day and I saw all the reviews hyping up the business. I get that it's natural and freshly made ice cream, but honestly, not a fan. I got a regular cone (3 scoops) and I got caramel cheesecake, white chocolate oreo, and plain vanilla. The caramel cheesecake was pretty good and had doughy cheesecake crust in it so I give that 8/10. But for the others, they weren't so great. The vanilla in any of the ice cream taste like water. We recently hired Bruster's to come out to an event we were hosting in town. Jamie was awesome to work with -- she helped me develop a list of flavors to accommodate our participants' dietary restrictions, and she was willing to come out to our event, even though it didn't start until 8:30 at night and ran until 10:30. On the night of our event, massive thunderstorms hit, causing high winds and intense rain. Another one of our vendors (understandably) cancelled, but Jamie called to say that they were running a little late, but that they were still on their way. What an awful rip off! If you want the best ice creme on the planet, go to Kilwin's in downtown Franklin. Just don't come here. I went to Bruster's for the first time this past Sunday. I won't be back. The ice creme was tasty--but then, what ice creme isn't? But the scoop size was teensy, tiny. It was a total rip off. At first I was shocked when they told me that a large size waffle cone includes four scoops of ice creme. I thought that sounded like way too much. When I go to Baskin Robbins and get three scoops, it barely fits in the cone. So I was sure that four scoops would do me in. I decided to go with the medium size and thus three scoops. Now I know why they have the four scoop option for even more money: their scoop size is so tiny that I had to break off literally half of the cone to even get to the ice creme. And then with my first scoop, three licks was all it took to get to my second scoop. Ridiculous. I realize this is ice creme we're talking about and not life or death, but if I can go to their competitors and get three times the amount for less money, well, that's a no brainier. Sadly, Yelp forces me to give them at least one star. They wouldn't even get that if I had anything to say about it. I won't be back. read more

We love Bruster's! We are an ice cream lovin' family. Prior to Bruster's our favorite was Baskin Robbins, but there isn't one near our home. Bruster's opened up, and I've always been so partial to Baskins that I didn't even want to give them a chance. But, one of my sons would not let up on the begging and pleading, and sure enough he just wore me down one day. But, OH HAPPY DAY! Yum, yum, yum! His favorite flavor is "birthday cake". Not to be confused with the one that is supposed to be like icing. He would eat the birthday cake ice cream, and only that, for the rest of his life (if it was up to him). There is a funky smell here. It's not good. I'm not sure what it is, but I smelled it at one other eating establishment recently (I can't remember where). Unfortunately I was cursed/blessed with an extremely talented sniffer. That's great when I'm in a flower garden or something, but if there is a dirty diaper in a 5 mile radius of me...WOAH! Poor me. Not that there are any dirty diapers at Bruster's. I wouldn't be setting foot in there if that was the case. But, I do wish they could get rid of that smell. Regardless of the smell, it's not enough to keep me away. In fact, it's not even horrid enough to cause me to take away any stars! That's how good the ice cream is. I feel kinda weird giving an ice cream shop only 2 stars. I REALLY love ice cream. I don't keep it in the house. My husband and I "go out" for ice cream. We've been to Bruster's several times as we used to live in Nolensville. It's never that great. You know how Kilwin's is squeaky clean and the people are (or seem to be) eager to serve you? You know how the scoops are generous enough that one scoop seems like a real treat and two scoops is hard to finish? None of that goes on at Bruster's. It's always kind of grimy and the furnishings are more like a waiting room at an oil change shop. The help is a little surly and never friendly. The scoops are puny, especially for the price and the ice cream is often too soft to stay perched on a cone and I've also had a yucky tummy more than a couple times afterwards. I'd never make the special trip to Bruster's....yesterday it was a matter of convenience and it was probably the last time. There's much better choices. read more
