We stopped in one morning specifically to pick up the quiche, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out they actually serve a full breakfast. Naturally, we decided to stay and have breakfast--and I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere is super family-friendly and has that cozy, homey feel you'd expect from a neighborhood bakery. The food was fresh, comforting, and tasted like something you'd get at home. The menu also has plenty of options, so there's something for everyone. Service was excellent! An amazing little stop. We were leaving Brentwood to return home and wanted some breakfast before we hit the road. Found the Puffy Muffin and it was incredible. I got an egg and sausage croissant and it was full of flavor, plentiful, and some wonderful sauce on the side. Everything in the place was homemade and there was a huge assortment of baked goods. Everything from tarts to cookies to cake and everything in between. All was fresh and natural. Don't skip on the ginger tea either. The perfect catering when you need it. I've had back to back surgeries and my office had Puffy Muffin cater. Hands down the best muffins I've ever eaten but they do so much more than muffins. They do casseroles, fruit, veggie trays, breakfast loaves, cookies, etc. Every thing uses the freshest ingredients and taste incredible. And if you've never been, you'd fail to understand the amazing dishes and bakery items they're cooking inside. I had heard good things and driven past this place so many times -- it's hard to miss a giant sign that says "Puffy Muffin" . After finally trying it myself, I would definitely recommend for breakfast/lunch/brunch if you're over in Brentwood/Franklin area!! The place is adorable (fitting with their name), comfortable and decently spacious, and it is easy to both find the restaurant and find parking . I had thought it was just a bakery, but they have a good range of selections for both lunch and breakfast foods -- plus, my goodness, like 6 refrigerated bakery cases you can walk in and order from if you don't want to sit down! Been twice. Not a fan. Yes, they have a fantastic selection of different food items! But to me, and my office mates who I brought food to.... not delicious food items. Very old school what your grandma would take to a potluck vibe here. Not that I didn't eat what my grandma brought to the potluck, I just never would choose it for myself. Getting there is atrocious. Once you find parking and get inside, hang on to your crackers folks: it gets worse! The line is nearly out the door. Which tells me people must like it. I personally just don't get it. The hash brown casserole was my favorite part. The steak was a little different than I expected, but seasoned nicely. I grabbed a lunch to enjoy the next day and really enjoyed it. Disappointing brunch today. Surly, dispassionate service like I've never seen at this place. Goodness! And perfectly paired with the food, too. I ordered the French dip which was non-remarkable. Poor quality beef with a slightly ransid taste. I would recommend you avoid this one. My guest ordered a chicken casserole dish and only completed half of it, mentioning that it tasted 'not fresh.' But, not being able to finish our meal gave us more time to receive chastisement from the surly server because two of our party were delayed in arriving and 'other people are waiting on a table', leaving me to wonder, 'why are they waiting on a table here? Don't they have any idea what they are in for?' If they did, they would be running from the tables. Like we will be from now on. This place was once a shining star and a local fave in Brentwood, now known mostly for the bakery and sweet treats. I recommend you stay on that side of the rail, too, and avoid the restaurant side. Love the happy warm atmosphere there they have a separate dining area that's closed off from the regular restaurant to have birthday parties or any kind of special events for lunch or dinner parties... So since we've been chauffeurs for my son taking him to Lifeguard training in nashville the past two weekends we decided to grab some breakfast this weekend first before taking him for his certification tests. Breakfast should be easy but y'all never know what you're going to get...here's what we found: Ambiance; Traditional bakery style set up with a large number of tables on the opposing side which makes for an easy access and egress. We were greeted right away and since it was only 8:30 on a Saturday morning the wait was about 90 seconds. Service: Service was great / prompt and friendly and she came back regularly to top us off with water and coffee. Food: The food was quite good - it was Faturday so my son was all in for the pancake plate and a cinnamon roll with a side of eggs...he's a teenager so he can put it away! My wife ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and enjoyed it as I enjoyed the two egg breakfast with extra scrambled eggs, rye toast, and bacon. Bacon was a bit on the too crispy side and the toast was very small However the taste was fresh and good. Price: Price is very high - honestly for a breakfast plate of a few pancakes -$18 is crazy as well as the two egg breakfast plate for $18...this is brentwood but come on...really? Bakery: we got a few mocha and lemon cookies (which are great) and I imagine most of what they bake there is very tasty and fresh as it all looked amazing! Summary: It's a great place - but be prepaid to pay for it more than market really bears for other similar places. If your in a pinch and on brentwood I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find something better quality wise but price wise I know you can get more for less other areas. I purchased several bakery items for my family to enjoy during our Thanksgiving holiday. Upon arriving home after a long drive through heavy traffic, I found that my Holiday Cookie order was missing. I sent an email about the missing items and was not expecting much in a response. A few minutes later, I received a return email and a phone call from Pam, a manager, apologizing for the error. The chicken salad had the grapes which I liked best. I tasted the quiche and chicken tortilla soup. The quiche was fresh and served hot and the soup was good. The dining area is spacious and bright.
