Did not even do the bare minimum to meet legal standards of renting. I often had to go out of my way to make sure they were doing their job such as: doing walkthroughs, inspections, etc. on my first day of moving in they were supposed to meet me with the keys I tried to contact them for 8 hours and had to get a hotel because they didn't show up until the next day. This date was confirmed MONTHS in advance. After receiving the keys they failed to do a walk through until I called them and ask when that would be happening. They responded with "no one did that with you they were supposed to do that with you before you moved in". Many people there have me extreme sass, and would not answer emails for weeks when I was asking them to really do the bare minimum of their job. read more

Update: It is now Wed night STILL no word and I still see that the apartment is available on websites. They supposedly "met with the owner and decided on a tenant." This truly might be a scam company... I would give this place a 0 star if I could! I should've trusted all these other reviews but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I first went to go look at the apartment that was posted on a website. And when I called, the lady was very rude and spoke to me in a condescending manner. I called prior to heading over to the apartment, to make sure there was someone there. Not once did she ever tell me that the keys to the apartment were at their office (located in another place). Yes, the ad did say that you need to pick up keys from the office, but that could mean inside the building as well, as I assumed. If I worked in real estate, I would make sure that the customer knew the exact details. Then I called for a second time when I arrived. So now, she says that theyre located 2 miles away from the building. Hmm...with a very unpleasant, sarcastic and rude tone. Then, I called again for the third time, when I couldnt find it and she says did you type in South Pasadena? I'm like uhh no? You just said the address and didnt give me the city. I dont live in Pasadena and don't know there's a south and regular Pasadena. She acted like I have all the time in the world to be driving back and forth!! Very frustrating when you only have time on the weekends and you've got other places to view. I drove from an hour away!! Anyways, okay we liked the unkept, outdated apartment we just viewed because it allowed dogs and the space was huge. So, we sent in an application. They seriously, robbed me of the application fee ($70 for two persons)..each person living in the apt needed to apply. I have moved around 5 times in the last two years (because of work) and I have never needed to apply twice (living with my fiance). Okay, fine...its their policy not going to argue. I had been dealing with Josie (who handles this property). She couldn't wait to get off the phone with me when I asked her questions. I felt like I was unappreciated as a potential tenant. I asked her questions like, "Are they going to replace the filthy carpet" and she didnt know. Most of her answers were, "That's up to the owners." OKAYYYY FINE LOL I just put all the bad experiences I have had with this incompentent company and wait for the credit check. A week passes by, NO WORD. So, I call and I am told that a pool of applicants will be presented to the owners over the weekend. So, I wait until the weekend is over. NO WORD. I call in Monday to follow up, calling a million times. I get, "Oh shes going to be late today." Two hours later, "Oh she never showed up today, call tomorrow." I left 3 voicemails. NOTHING THE NEXT DAY. So, she must be ignoring my calls. Seriously, all I wanted was to be told if I didnt get an apartment, Straightforward. It's now Tuesday, with 6 voice messages left between me and my fiances, still no word. I'm not in business or customer service, but that is not how a business should be ran. A living situation is an important matter and one that should be dealt with in a prompt manner. I take it as a blessing in disguise that I didn't get this apartment. Because, reading the other reviews, they could have done some shady things while I was living in a unit they manage. I highly DO NOT recommend this company due to the lack of competence, customer service skills, unprofessionalism. Sara was spectacular, she looked over potential applications. She did not stop working until she found the right tenant that meet our needs. She could had easily given us any tenant, but she did not stop until we got the right tenant. Due to Covid-19 she followed all the guidelines to make sure everyone was safe at all times. She was super informative. She would keep my dad and I posted every time she showed the house. Bryant Companies has managed my building in Pasadena, CA for a few years now. They are very good in responding to work orders. My property manager Jessica Perez is always on top of requests. I recently had a leaky kitchen faucet and the plumbers replaced it with a whole new faucet with much better water pressure. My shower/bath was starting to really deteriorate with mildewy peeling paint, and water getting into the formerly sealed edges. Jessica had a contractor come out to do work on the bathroom. My first experience with the company. Sara helped me get into the MOST PERFECT apartment for the most ideal price and the location is only 8 minutes from my job. I could not be happier. Working with Sara was honestly a dream. She is so sweet and so professional. My credit is not the best, however I was honest with her and upfront about having limited credit history. She seemed to have good rapport with the owner of the property and passed along good merit on my behalf. Ultimately the property owner made the decision to rent to me, but it was Sara's good word that got me in the door for sure. I have limited experience with anyone else in the company, with the exception of the receptionist I met in the evening, who was also very sweet and down to earth.
