I caution you all to be suspicious of the fact that this establishment has nothing but 5 star reviews. It is my belief that Bryko motors is worthy of 1 star because of their rude costumer service and lack of respect for others. First, Thank You Bryant and Jeriko for squeezing my e34 touring on such short notice! I came to know of their shop through a friend who brought his e30 in for some service and that gave me the opportunity to not only meet Bryant and Jeriko, but to hear their story and passion for BMW. Knowing that they graduated top of their class and says a lot and you can definitely tell by their craftsmanship with their own builds, along with the care they have for others. Aside from my friend bringing in his e30, I also know that they've worked on my other friend's 2002 and his build is amazing. I called extremely out of the blue and despite their crammed schedule, they were able to fit me in and service a full cooling overhaul on my 1995 BMW 525i Touring. They were very prompt and very informative on what needs and may need to be done for my touring. They were extremely helpful on the parts that are necessary. These guys are the best! I'm so glad to have found a shop that has your best interest in mind. And they're BMW certified technicians so they do things by the book. Long story short, I needed the engine replaced for my E61 535xi and now it's better than ever. They were able to source a used engine with less mileage and replaced all nuts, bolts, gaskets, seals and everything else I could think of new. They only use OEM parts unless you insist otherwise. Among other things, they updated most maintenance requirements while they have the engine out. Engine mounts, seals, belts, pullies, clutch, spark plugs, injectors, etc. I also had them install some performance upgrades such as turbos and inlets. They can accomodate walk-ins. But best to schedule an appointment as they can get booked up quickly. read more

7/7/2017 I am updating my review from last year with first hand service experience. My 2007 750Li developed a big coolant leak after it was rear ended on the freeway a few months ago. It spent over a month in a body shop in Fremont and came back looking better than it ever has. Unfortunately, it had no coolant when I got it back. Not wanting to take it back to that body shop for missing this issue, I called BRYKO up to have them diagnose the problem. They immediately found that the coolant expansion tank was cracked at the mount and promptly replaced it. About one year prior to the accident and the subsequent coolant leak, my car developed a very annoying rough idle/misfire when starting and under heavy loads like launching off the line. I personally replaced all the coil packs, spark plugs, air filters, and the main intake manifold boot- and the issue improved but still never fully went away. I asked BRYKO to see if they could diagnose the issue. They checked for any vacuum leaks, disconnected and reconnected all the major sensors on the engine, smoke tested the car to see if it could be related to the dreaded valve seal issue that these older BMW V8's are notorious for. No leaks and no smoke were found. The connections were all good, and lo and behold the issue just went away. After all that work, they could not reproduce the issue- and I am ecstatic to report that I have not been able to reproduce the misfire issue a week later. Because they could not find the real reason for the misfire/rough idle, they did not charge me for all that diagnostic work- even though the issue was resolved. That is amazingly honest customer service right there. Since I rarely drive the car, I asked them if they saw anything else critical that needed immediate attention- and they recommended that I fix a transmission leak that they found. You can live with little oil leaks from the engine because you can always add more oil, but you absolutely cannot let transmission leaks go- so I gave them the green light. They found that the plug adapter sleeve and pan were both leaking, so they replaced both without any issues. Done deal. The car shifts smoother than it ever has, so I am an extremely happy customer. With the coolant leak, misfire issue and transmission leak addressed, you may be saying to yourself that these types of jobs are not anything special. Any reputable BMW servicer can perform these types jobs, so where do I get off giving them 5 stars? Over the last 20 years, I have mainly taken my BMW's to two of the highest rated shops in the Bay Area: Bavarian Professionals in Berkeley and MotorSpeed West in San Jose. I can say first hand that the quality of BRYKO's work is on par with both of these fine establishments, BRYKO's prices are more affordable, and they are located only a few miles from my house in Union City. No more driving to Berkeley or San Jose at night for late drop offs. The convenience factor coupled with Bryant and Jeriko's excellent customer service skills earns BRYKO 5 stars in my book. I came in for a e-brake adjustment and they had it done within a day and it's been a couple weeks now and it still holds on! But then my e-brake light wouldn't want to turn off so he found the wire found out it was getting pinched between the center console and floor so took it out heat shrink some tubing on it and light hasn't been on since they do great work read more

I got introduced to Bryko Motors last week when my BMW 335i Convertible dumped its coolant all over my driveway. I was tired of waiting for the dealership to give me an appointment, and given the fiasco with my former mechanic on another car, I was not about to trust him with the BMW. A couple of Yelp searches later, Bryko appeared to be well reviewed and very conveniently located for me. They were booked solid, but offered to take a quick look. They found many issues regarding the turbo chargers, but the coolant issue they could fix right away to get me running again. We agreed to defer the repair of the other issues. Fast forward to this week. They scheduled me for a comprehensive diagnosis of the turbos. I had zero boost due to all the lines being broken. I just received my car back from Bryko Motors, and stepping on the gas for the first time after service, I am reminded why I bought this car. There is so much power in this N54 engine, that I nearly launched the drink out of the cup holder!!!! Thank you for reviving the pep in my car. I brought my Mercedes ML430 for a transmission pan leak. Yes, they are BMW specialists, but I spoke with Bryant and Jeriko and they said my issue would not be a problem. Bryant assurred me that he would use oem MBZ parts. He was able to take my car in a couple of days later for the repair and I picked it up the next day. During the repair, Bryant actually found the real issue of my leak (o-rings on a sensor near the pan) and fixed it. Replaced the gasket on my transmission pan since it was brittle anyways. Flushed my transmission with brand new fluid. Sent me pictures of the repair and kept me updated on the repair. I like that detail. I totally recommend BRYKO MOTORS. Knowledgeable. Prices are fair. I took my 2008 135i to a local dealership because there was oil leaking onto the front of the engine. They found failed oil filter housing gaskets, but also a crack in the valve cover and an oil leak at the oil pan. The quote was massively expensive, to say the least. Before committing, I decided to check out Bryko after reading all of the reviews online. Their shop is really clean and they use all OEM BMW parts. Bryant and Jeriko are knowledgeable, professional, and just plain nice guys; they have dealership experience and are factory trained. I can't think of any reason to visit the dealership, as they have all the credentials and offer a much better price. They replaced my valve cover and oil filter housing gaskets in no time, and even detailed my engine bay! They showed me how minor the oil pan leak was and told me we could just monitor it; the sign of a truly honest business. Long overdue but wanted to write this review to give my appreciation for the major work that were done to my 2001 e38. Overall excellent service. Very honest and trustworthy staff, both Bryant and Jeriko. I was presented with the detailed diagnostic results and given recommendations as to what's absolutely needed to be fixed and what can wait, with explanations, and the associated cost estimate that was very reasonable. This info helped me make a wise decision since repair cost is also a factor. I was given updates along the way by calling and sending pictures of the parts they replaced after completing the repair. He can check the veins and tell you exactly what's going on. He also knows a lot about the history of various recalls, BMW issues etc. If that knowledge wasn't enough, he is also super honest about what they do and charges very reasonable rates. He will also always go around the car and spend a little extra time to make sure that everything else is running ok. He will never recommend a unnecessary repair. I'm glad that a gym buddy recommended this shop to bring my 2009 X5 to. It's up in mileage so the problems continue to mount up. We had a a starter issue and was told by the actual bmw dealer and another Indy shop to to either change the battery or replace a solenoid. We spent a lot of money with diagnostics and none needed parts that wasn't the issue. Bryko was able to diagnose the true problem and got it fixed. They included a video as well to show the issue. Came in out of panic because my oil light would light up for a quick second every time I would hit the brakes. Heard it's hella bad for your car if it permanently stays on and it means you're just completely out of oil. So, came in and one of the owner, Jeriko, helped me out!! He was super patient and didn't make me feel dumb and explained to me what happened, showed me that I was emptyyyyy and definitely needed oil or my engine would've gotten fckkkked up. Anyways, he added oil and checked out my whole car just to be safe and off I go!! It was such a fast and reliable experience! Jeriko, was very nice and professional. I found them via Yelp when looking to replace the motor in my E46 M3 (spun rod bearing). Before even starting the swap, they were thorough in assessing the condition of the replacement motor and then continued to provide regular updates on the progress with pictures. Thanks Yelp for helping me find this place. I was experiencing some heavy engine knocking and was fearing the worst for my 2010 BMW 335i coupe. Took it to Bryko and they helped diagnosed the problem ASAP. Turned out to be the fuel injectors were bad and needed to be replaced. Once they gave me a written estimate of the cost, I checked to see if the issue was covered under some BMW warranty (335i engines, N54, specifically are known to be "special"). Fortunately, it was under warranty and I had the option to take it to the dealership for them to fix it at no out of pocket cost. Best decision I ever made was to take it to Bryko...instead of the dealership. Not only did Bryko install the injectors but they helped diagnosed and repair another issue that was caused by the dealership when they last worked on my car (and yes...the dealership covered it up). I would rather have peace of mind than free low quality work when it comes to this car since I started taking it to the track. They took and sent pictures of the work they did. On top of this, they sent me all the info needed to file my reimbursement claim with BMW. Both Jeriko and Bryant were professional, friendly to work with and knowledge about what they were doing. Came to Bryko Motors to service my 2014 BMW 320i because I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg at the dealership. Bryant immediately began work on the vehicle, and as he's working on it, he discovered that the oil filter that was used by the techs at BMW of Fremont was a cheap, incorrect filter and replaced it with a genuine BMW filter as it should be. After the work was completed he recommended me the services that are needed to keep my BMW in great shape by showing me examples of what's going to be done with those services.
