Just not very good! I have been here several time! I will never go to one of the male techs. They rush and have never gotten a good result. After more than 10 times, no one seems to know me and when I ask for a specific person, I got someone else that said she was the person I asked for! Dishonest and crazy! Everything is nothing more than average. Here is the truth - they are close but we were getting ready to go on vacation and I had such anxiety about going to them, becuase I wanted my nails to look nice - it's a crap shoot! I don't know what kind of polish they use or if it's the way it is applied but it takes forever to dry and hours later it is not full dried. They are close so it was convenient but I will send my money where people are friendly and you get what you pay for! They have been there for years and I feel they don't have to be nice to customers - and that's ok - but I will not go back! I found a new, clean, beautiful salon with very nice people and the next closest to this place - Milani Salon on First Capitol, right next to Schnucks! 1000 times better! read more

Got pedicures for myself and my adult daughter. My tech was *very* rough with my cuticles. (They'd been done at another salon w/in a few weeks and kept moisturized so no excuse at all) She also did not show us the services "menu." When I finally had to stop her to ask what pedicure she thought she was giving me, she acted incredulous that I wanted to select my own service even though (obviously) other customers did. There is an option to select a service at check-in. We had not. And she would not stop asking if I wanted my hands done as well even though we both told her no several times. When I got home I realized my toenails had been cut at odd angles. Finally, she did not cap the polish over the end of my toenails, ensuring the polish would not last long. I tipped 20% because I always do, but in retrospect, I really wish I hadn't. Too many nail salons around to put up with that nonsense. read more

I visited BT Nails for the first time today. I'll definitely return. The salon looked clean and well updated, they had tons of pedicure chairs, and even 4 kid chairs. I didn't have an appointment, but they still took me straight back. My tech was very kind and did a great job. For $40, I chose one of their specialty pedicures and the price felt fair for the service (definitely competitive with the local market). My reason for only 4 stars instead of 5 is because I tried calling to make an appointment, but no one answered. I also noticed while I was there that no one was answering the phone when it rang then either. They were all busy, so I get it, but online reservations may be helpful then. read more

I've gone to this place pretty frequently because the location is convenient but their service is mediocre at best. My nails always turn out ok but there's always a little something off. After today though I won't be back. I made an appointment. Arrived at the scheduled time and there were people waiting. I let them know I called ahead just like they'd asked me to when I called but still ended up waiting over an hour. I ended up leaving without getting my nails done and when I told one of the techs she seemed to have an attitude and said "ok we'll see you now"...actually no you won't. The last two times I've tried to make an appointment, I've been told to come in right away. When I inquired if anyone else was waiting, I was told no. Wouldn't take my name. I showed up the first time and I ended up waiting 30 minutes. The second time I went in I was told upon arrival they had "3 or 4 people" ahead of me! I told them I had just called and was told to come up right away. Rose the owner then decided to ignore me as she knows it was her husband that told me to come right up! First of all, it takes them every bit of 2 1/2 hours or more to do a dip mani and basic pedi. I suck it up and do it, but I'm not going to sit and wait for their services when I've tried to make appointments. There are a few techs that are good, but it's a toss-up if you're going to get them. Some are too busy talking to each other and looking at their phones or craning their heads to see what else is going on around them. I went to get my nails done for the first time ever, a friend recommended this place, and I wasn't sure what to expect! I made an appointment online and they got me in quickly. It was a little hard to understand on my part since we were all wearing masks and I don't understand other languages or accents well. The manicure was quick and my nails look great, she recommended the perfect color! first let me say that this place is dirty, the station I sat at had dust from the nail grinder all over it, then the price on line for a gel manicure was $32 after my quick and I mean quick 20 min tops for a full gel manicure I was charged $35. I've been coming here since it opened many years ago. In the beginning, the owners and staff were very totally sweet and friendly, even though the shop itself was meager. Because I was always taken great care of, I came back over and over during the years. They renovated the shop many times, and I was even happier! Sadly, during the most recent renovation and changes to staff, the service has totally declined. I came back a couple more times to give them a chance to improve after their changes, but no more. It's sad, the place looks better than ever, but you are just treated like cattle, moving through a system. I won't be back. read more

On my most recent visit I was cut so many times(to the point of bleeding). The tech was rough and was horrible at using the cuticle nipper. In addition to that the job was messy. DIRTY. COMPLETELY FILTHY. Important notes: filthy, nail polish stained LED lamps, ripped up client chairs, dust everywhere, no liners put in the tubs, no sanitized, sealed tool packets, poorly cleaned tubs with dirty scrubbers. Read on for more: I chose this place because I was taking my daughter for her first ever salon mani-pedi and it had kids chairs. I called ahead and made an appointment for an hour from the time I called. We got right in to the manicure booths as soon as we arrived. Should've gone with my gut and walked right out, but everything happened so fast and before I knew it my nails were already being prepped. As I looked around every single chair had major HUGE rips in the seat. Every single one of the LED gel lamps was covered in polish and when I put my hands in, the insides were also covered in buildup. The towels he used were clean but completely tattered with holes and looked more like rags. The tables were covered in dust and they didn't use sanitized tools. (I'm used to seeing the tech rip open a sanitized medical looking pack each time at every other salon I've been to.) My manicure itself was fine, but nothing spectacular. Tech was polite. We then moved on to the pedicure. My daughter's kiddy chair was just dirty. I admittedly pride myself on my cleaning skills but this place looks like it's never been deep cleaned a single time. Again, polish just dripped and hardened on the chairs and bowl, and dust and dirt on all the chairs. The tech was very kind to my daughter but she must've sat with her feet in the bowl for 25 minutes before she was serviced. A long time for a nearly 5 year old and I'm impressed she held on. When I got to the adult pedi station the bowls didn't have plastic liners and my bowl was just full of water, none of the powder they usually put in to clean your feet. The tech took about 25 min to get to me too. Keep in mind we had appointments. As I sat I watched the tech come over and "clean" the bowls next to me. He sprayed them with what smelled like fabuloso, scrubbed them with an old, dirty looking sink scrubber, rinsed it and called it a day. They didn't take the filter covers off or anything. Just a quick scrub and called the next person. $110 and a $20 tip later and I will never go back. I'm mad at myself for not leaving. Should've gone with my gut. I'm all for business owners trying to save money but this salon is at serious risk of giving someone a serious injury or infection. They need to put serious cash into a facelift and cleaning overhaul. read more

BT Nails is the best shop around. I've been with them almost from their beginning and have never experienced any of the problems found in the negative comments. I love gel French nails and pedicures. I took my young grand-daughter to have her nails painted, but she quickly messed up the polish...3 times. I asked that the tech NOT bother to paint them because she wouldn't sit still. I moved to St Charles last fall and I needed a nail salon. A friend suggested BT nails. They got me in right away. They were courteous and efficient. I really have no complaints for the nail service. I did ask for an eye lip and chin wax. They did it but did not do a great job. When I got home I had to clean it up a bit. I am still partial to my old salon but, for nails they were great! The prices were certainly competitive. I will go back and just make sure they do a detailed job with the waxing. read more

I have been here previously and had a good experience. My friend lives in the area so when I visit from Chicago I come here with her. This time I came without her because she had errands to run with her husband before their baby shower that afternoon. I asked for a mani/pedi and the guy who "took care" of me was inattentive and did a sub-par job. When he wasn't being distracted by the broken sprayer in the tub next to him, he was craning his neck to see what the commotion was about in other areas of the salon. He even answered his phone and had a full conversation, on speaker, while working on my mani! I didn't get the lotion on my legs and hands, massage of legs or hands, or a hot towel on my legs. My nails looked awful when he finished - at least 8 of them only had paint in the center - he didn't go to the edges! And places he did go to the edge, he didn't get the polish off my skin, I had to ask him after he took me to the dryers. He also didn't clean out underneath my nails. When I looked at my nails after they dried, I went to the counter and he came over asking if I had a question. I went over all my complaints calmly (after reading the brochure and seeing what I missed out on!) and he told me I had a chance to complain before I paid. What?! I paid before my nails were painted because I didn't want them messed up by having to go into my wallet! He then walked away from me. Rude! So I asked to speak to the person in charge since she seemed more customer service friendly. She told me she can't refund me for the mani but they can re do it. I don't have time for that! I've already been here over an hour AND didn't receive all my services! She said something to the guy and he yells at me that he DID do everything, I can even check the camera! WHAT?! You are flat out LYING now. Then she backs him up saying he spent over an hour on me when he's only supposed to spend 25 minutes. WHAT!! MORE LYING!! Sure, I probably sat in the chair for over an hour, but at least 30 min of that was spent WAITING for someone. I was so irritated I told her to find someone else who can fix my nails AND make it quick. The lady who did my nails was very sweet and apologized, although she did clip my cuticle pretty badly. 2 days later and it's still very painful. IF I come back, I will refuse that man's service and make sure to note EVERYTHING while it's happening. I think the guy's name was Tu or Te - he wrote it down for me but it was hard to read his writing. Poor customer service and poor management. She didn't even say anything when he yelled at me. I have gone to this salon because of its location for many years and have almost always been happy. Most of the staff are very nice. There are a couple of issues, however, that bother me. First and foremost is the DIRT. The bathroom, areas around and behind the chairs, and floor are not kept clean. I am surprised others have not been bothered by this. I have gone to other nail salons periodically, and they are much cleaner. Second is the workers' poor English and constant prattle with each other in other languages. I find this rude, as a customer never knows whether they are talking about them. I speak other languages and know it takes dedication to learn them, but if you are living in the US and have English speaking customers, you should learn English! read more

The workers don't answer the phone much so when I called to find the location it took multiple phone calls to get the real destination. While I have had some so-so experiences in the past with this salon, today sealed it for me. The ladies at the salon are always so nice and do such a nice job, but the gentlemen who work there (mainly two) are extremely unprofessional and unskilled. The pedi I received today was bad from the start. The water had apparently been sitting for a while, and although I asked for warmer water, it never got to any comfortable temperature. He spent more time talking to his coworker and pretending to work than actually accomplishing anything. The worst part was the complimentary "massage" and hot towel. He used rubber gloves but not much lotion, literally chafing my legs. The hot towel was used to just wipe my feet (usually they will get two, one for each lower leg). He got polish all over his gloves and my toes, and I definitely could have saved $23 and done my toes at home. His coworker next to him in a baseball cap was doing a pedi for a younger girl in high school. He made a phone call in the middle of painting her toes and put it on speaker so he could do both. She sat there, seemingly shocked that it was happening. The phone conversation was apparently getting heated, so he then stopped the pedicure to finish the conversation right then and there. I was finally ready to go, and the gentleman helping me had already moved onto another pedicure. He came up to ring me out (still wearing gloves) when I realized the gloves he was wearing had my pink polish on them...he never changed them between clients. I slapped some hand sanitizer on and coated my credit card as well. Definitely the worst pedicure I've ever had. read more
