Been taking all my vehicles to another shop for YEARS. Every time I go there I question my…read moredecisions. This shop is okay but the vehicle often has to go back for this or that. Recently, I took my older vehicle over there for A/C diagnosis. He told me it was fine. It wasn't. I suggested maybe the freon needed to be recharged as the vehicle is older and has never had the A/C serviced. Nope. Not possible. This week I took it to him for a misfire situation. The problem was easily repeatable and definitely seemed like spark. No, he told me it's the transmission. I took it to the transmission shop and they read the codes and told me it needed a tune up. I told them I was done with this other shop and recommend a place. They recommended Bird Family Auto. I went over and discussed my issues with Jessica. She listened, didn't make me feel dumb for my suggestions and told me they'd take care of it. A few days later I picked up the vehicle. It's running stronger than ever, no more misfires and the A/C is blowing ICE COLD after a recharge. She even called me and asked me if I was due for an oil change. I told her yes but I had oil and filter at home. She told me to bring it by and they did it at no extra charge. Even returned the unused oil. I will never go anywhere else.

This shop has…read morebeen serving my mom for a few years at this point and I personally had done all the work on my own vehicle to save money so I saw no point to bring my vehicle to a shop. This had changed when my truck had needed its suspension refreshed after hitting 200k miles, I didn't have the time to work on it myself so I opted to go with this shop. I was skeptical so I had purchased many of the major components myself to save on the parts. I'd like to say that it saved me money but it's hard to say when the invoice still went into the thousands. After dropping off the truck I will say that they were quick on installing the components but maybe they went too fast as when I brought it home I see that the stickers that came on my shocks were still there, $2500 down and you can't spend 30 seconds to remove a sticker? Annoying? Sure, I expect a bit better presentation when I'm shoveling out that kinda cash. What really irritated me is actually what happened or rather what I found wasn't done with my friends vehicle who I'm taking care of while he's serving overseas. Once again I had his vehicle taken in for a transfer case repair on his vehicle. A costly job for sure, but while it was in the shop he wanted to have the mechanic to take a look at some electrical issues that were related to lighting. Once again the truck was in the shop and in relation to the main issue being fixed it does look like they did a decent job. That is until I brought that same truck into storage today and went to disconnect the battery only to find that the fuse cover not only wasn't on where it should've been but it was just floating the engine bay, who knows what sorta problem that could've lead to. Once again around 2.5k.. The lack of quality with my truck is one thing, me bringing in a friends truck while he's away is another. Now what I will say is the guys in the front are great however with me and my friends and family shoveling out cash to a place that won't take the time to do small things that could have avoided this whole review. I now have a problem and I could care less how nice they are in the front when in the back I'm getting screwed. If I'm paying you to be a professional, then act like a professional. If you want to charge prices like a professional then I think you should do the fixes that no one would notice when they're done, but when they're not? It's glaring. I'm not a teacher, I shouldn't have to go over your work when it's done. To everyone else who may have a repair that may need to be done. Go on YouTube and get tools from harbor freight. They don't have payment plans of their own but you can do Affirm on your own through Apple Pay. The mechanic and owner, Roger, was very kind and thorough in explaining what he was doing and what he recommended next (but also wasn't pushy on other possible repairs like I've seen from other mechanics). I had many questions and he answered them with patience and helpfulness. He even invited me back to show me and explain what he did and some potential issues. I haven't had a mechanic do that before. Also, while I was back there, the garage was clean and appeared organized, which I appreciated. I felt the mechanic was trustworthy and honest about the work he was doing and its costs.
