Save the Frostop. 1955 rare architecture. Fun stop. Amazing root beer, grits, eggs, and poboys. You will love it.

Ted's frosted is a cute and nostalgic. Reminds me of when my grandparents would take woolworths and you could sit at the counter or in the large booths. Line was Kong but move quickly. There's a parking lot along with street parking. Old Fashioned root beer floats yummy

Food was almost great. Burgers were very good - but mine was a little too pink for a hamburger. The place was just what we expected - except there was a serious lack of friendliness. We did not feel welcome and it was to such an extent that we would never go back. It's a shame. The burgers, fries, onion rings, vanilla shake (tasted like it had malt added-but wasn't requested) were all delicious! (Even my pink burger). The place desperately needs a friendlier staff.

What a fun place! Ted's caught my eye yesterday when I was driving by and I knew I had to stop in. I'm so glad I did. Ted's Frostop opened in 1955 by Ted Sternberg when he returned home after the Korean War. It is a classic 50's drive-in. When you pull-in you feel like you've been transported back in time. If this isn't a national landmark - it should be. They offer a nice variety of food for breakfast and lunch. Burgers and Po' Boys are popular items. I strongly encourage you to get the Root beer Float. It is delicious! Service is friendly, and prices are reasonable. I can't wait for my next visit.

Root Beer lovers, are you looking for an original American diner? This is it. Make sure you have the root beer, it is as good as they say! Angus Burger, Chicken Strip Basket, Roast Beef and lots of Root Beer. You won't be disappointed.

Solid burger joint with great root beer. Big picture--it's a busy location so you may need to wait for a table inside, but on nice days you can sit outside.

Stopped in the other day for breakfast and it brought back a lot of nostalgic memories. I can't believe Frostop is still standing amidst the pandemic. Service was outstanding. The cashier/host was professional, personable, attentive and made us feel at home. She even came from behind the counter to our table to hand me a replacement pepper shaker because she saw me struggling to get pepper out of the shaker we had. We ordered shrimp and grits and two orders of pancakes and bacon. Hats off to the chef, this short, middle-age, black lady hovering over the grill. The shrimp and grits were well-seasoned and hit the spot. The accompanying buttermilk biscuit was buttery and oh so fluffy and moist. I'm getting a breakfast biscuit next time! My family enjoyed their fluffy pancakes. I had a bite of the bacon and it was crispy and flavorful. The restaurant was clean and not too dated. We got there just in time because the breakfast crowd--service workers, first responders, retirees--started to pour in shortly after we ordered and the line had reached the door. We should be intentional about visiting regularly.

Teds is one of our daily breakfast spots. The employees remember us and always treat us like family. I tried a turkey club (off the menu item) and it was yummy! The fries at Ted's are so dang good I find myself craving them over pancakes on some Sunday mornings.

Discovered Ted's via the movie The Hit Man, decided to go. Food was great, big burgers, generous portions and our gal that took our order was spectacular! The Root beer float is a must!

Between my partner and I, we didn't spend more than $30 in this place. This place is super low-key; no expectations of dressing fancy one bit. It's the kind of spot that you'd go into after a long night of partying, ready to end the night with a juicy burger with crispy fries, topped with ice cold beverages. If you can squeeze in a moment to order from their grill, I promise you won't be disappointed!

This past week we visited and we could both tell right away things were different. The inside of the restaurant was filthy and I mean filthy. You could see the floor under the bar and in the kitchen hadn't been cleaned in months. The fryers hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Everything just looked dirty and like no effort is put into cleaning and maintenance. We decided to eat anyway which was a mistake. We love their burgers that are cooked and steamed old school. We both ordered one. My wife ordered hers with bacon, which they charge over 3 bucks for. We both ordered our burger dressed with all the fixings. When my wife's burger came out it had no bacon and no fixings. I told the waiter and he said he would handled it. He never did as he started doing other orders. My burger had no flavor and it looked like the person that made it didn't care , which goes along with the restaurant cleanness. One thing that really turned us off was the was other guest were treated by staff. The "cook" was completely pissed off and had a horrible attitude. A group came in looking for a table and there wasn't room. He yelled at them that there wasn't room. They stood in the entrance area for a few moments and then he yelled at them that they needed to get out of the restaurant and wait outside. He told them this isn't a restroom so don't wait in line. The attitude and distain in his voice was overwhelming. A few minutes later a couple came in and found 2 seats at the bar. They decided to order food to go and was talking to the waiter. One of the 2 people ordering was standing behind the empty bar seat while they ordered. The cook yelled at this person that they needed to sit down. Both customers were stunned. The waiter told the cook they were making an order to go and the cook could be heard muttering under his breath. This little guy was nothing but attitude and seemed extremely pissed off the there. Maybe instead of being the restaurant traffic cop and total smart ass he should concentrate on getting orders straight since ours was screwed up and never fixed. Whatever charm this place had is gone along with the any effort to keep it up to clean standards.

The 8oz filet mignon steak special is, dollar for dollar, the best steak I have ever had in a restaurant. Perfectly tender, marbled, and cooked and seasoned to perfection, and topped with a decadent garlic butter. Turtle Bay -- 4…read more Listen... this is MY spot. One of my favorite places and honestly one of the only places I'll sit down and eat in the French Quarter. I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years now, and they are easily in my top three. The vibe? Dive bar, laid back, no fuss... but the FOOD? Don't sleep on it. Their menu is solid and I still haven't made it through everything yet. I've had the wings, which we actually got this visit but ate them so fast we didn't even get a picture. That should tell you enough right there. I've had the pizza, and my husband usually goes for a burger. Never any complaints. They've got plenty on tap and the drinks hit too. I love a good Electric Lemonade, but this time I kept it simple with an Angry Orchard. Now let's talk about what keeps me coming back... The steak. We got our old faithful, one of their signature steaks, the 10oz petite ribeye. This is exactly what made me fall in love with Turtle Bay in the first place. Normally it's around $13.95, comes with a twice stuffed potato and a slice of garlic bread. A DEAL. This time it was a little higher, but still under $15, which honestly is still more than fair with how prices are these days. And when I say it be hitting... it be hitting. Only reason this visit didn't get a full 5 stars? My steak was cooked a little over my liking. I usually go for medium, and this one leaned more done than I prefer. Not horrible, just not my usual perfection. But everything else? Still solid. The staff is always nice, always welcoming. I've never had a bad experience with them, and that matters. And I already know I'm coming back because I keep hearing the crawfish is FIRE. Yeah... I need to see that for myself. This is my happy place. Open 24/7, consistent, affordable, and just a real gem in the French Quarter. The Bay is Babe. Period.

You find your own table inside or outside. Sides are separate order and price unless you order the special of the day amd it'll say what it comes with. 1st time ordered le pig. It was good, a little salty. But its not as tender as a beef burger. It was a nice change up. The pickles were good. We ordered some to go. ( take with you or they can ship to your house). The burger itself was filling to me. Rest of my party bbq pork and fish platter. Hush puppies were okay, they give so much. I could honestly do without it. Everyone was satisfied. 2nd visit ordered the porchetta . That was really good. Ordered a mac and cheese. It has breadcrumbs on top it comes in a small dish that i feel like is shareable. It wasn't bad actually ( ive had worse lol). One of the workers did really suggest it. I was willing to try it. It was edible, no cheese pull but also not just buttered noodles. Depending on my mood I might get it again. Porchetta and the leadership pig, I think the porchetta was better but both are great and filling.
