A very authentic taco experience! As a huge taco lover, I can say this place nailed it. I ordered four al pastor tacos and five asada tacos, and every bite was packed with flavor - it honestly felt like I was in Mexico. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the tortillas were fresh, and the toppings were crisp and vibrant. They serve the two must-have salsas - a bold red and a tangy green - along with fresh lime wedges. The attention to detail really makes the difference. Plus, they have a stand with Mexican candies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for true street-style tacos in an authentic setting, this spot is a must-try.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't wait to come back!

Was in the area it was craving some food saw this place checked out their yelp reviews and it wasn't so bad so I decided to give them a try. They were OK, the tacos and ceviche were decent. They were doable.

Needed a quick fix to cure my taco cravings. We three non Hispanic fellas walk in and not gonna lie, we got the side eye. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Settled on a couple of asada tacos and a asada quesadillas. Super delicious. Beer was cold and food hot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restroom could use an overall and power washing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I enjoyed the Gordita with steak. I tried the horchata too which was very sweet. I would pass on the chillaquiles. I got it with chicken and egg, but found it very fried and the chips weren't soaked in salsa.

Best late night find, the food was amazing and the service was super great! Give the lengua tacos a try, most tender meat ever.

Always looking for delicious authentic tacos and this is one of my new faves! I had a chicken sope, carne asada and carnitas taco, my friend had a chicken quesadilla. The wait was a little long but definitely worth it and everyone was super friendly. My parents tried the carne de res sopa which was a good portion and they enjoyed. They have a dine in or carry out option but only about 7-8 tables. We did take out because they were really busy. Ambiance was casual. Will be coming back soon!

I met the owner a few months back and he's a great guy. I just now got around to trying them out for lunch for the first time. I was blown away. Completely authentic. I got 4 tacos: chicken, pastor, barbacoa, and carne asada. I wasn't able to eat them right away as I got a bit busy, but when I got around to it they still were packed with flavor and tasted fresh. Each one of these tacos were TWO DOLLARS and had a generous portion of protein. Amazing. Both sauces were delicious as well: red was pretty hot but packs a ton of flavor. Green is definitely nowhere near as hot and also has a nice flavor. I will definitely be coming to this spot weekly. Awesome service and delicious fresh food. I think these are hands down the best authentic tacos I've tried in broward county.

BEST TACOS IN THE COUNTRY! No seriously, this is my top choice. I work in construction and am always traveling, and I eat tacos just about everyday cause there a light meal. I have been to over 300+ taquerias easily in this country, and even lived close to the border in CA. These are the best tacos I have come across and always stop by when I'm the area. 10/10. Always Perfect, Always Consistent

Hands down, some of the best authentic Mexican tacos I've ever had!…read more I stopped in for lunch at Habaneros Mexican Taqueria in Pompano Beach and was absolutely blown away. This place is the real deal. The tacos are cooked to order, so yes--it takes a little time. But wow, is it worth the wait. I had two tacos: asada and carnitas. Both came out hot off the grill with generous, juicy portions of perfectly seasoned meat. The flavors were rich and fresh, and the texture was spot-on. What really set them apart, though, were the homemade corn tortillas--warm, slightly chewy, and clearly made in-house with care. Just fantastic. I skipped the cilantro (not my thing), but the freshly diced onions added a nice crunchy contrast. And the salsas--oh man. They brought out two squeeze bottles, one red and one green. The green salsa was my favorite: cold, zesty, just the right amount of heat (about 5/10), and full of flavor and texture. The red salsa had a deeper kick and great flavor too--definitely not shy on the spice. A final squeeze of the lime wedge brought everything together perfectly. If you're in the area and love tacos, this spot is a must. I'm already planning my next visit.

That is exactly how I would describe Dos Amigos. This place has that comfortable, no nonsense feel where you can tell it is about the food first. The menu has a lot of great options, and everything feels hearty, fresh, and satisfying. It is the kind of place where you can go in craving classic Mexican comfort food and leave happy every time. What stands out is that it feels authentic and unpretentious. It is not trying to be trendy or overdone. It just focuses on serving solid Mexican dishes in a relaxed atmosphere, and that goes a long way. Whether you are in the mood for tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, or just chips and salsa with a margarita, it is the kind of place that hits the spot. The service has always added to the experience too. Friendly, welcoming, and the kind of place that feels easy to enjoy whether you are doing a casual lunch or dinner. Overall, Dos Amigos is a really dependable local go to. Good portions, flavorful food, and a laid back atmosphere that makes it easy to come back again.

Probably a hundred restaurants. And, this is it. The steak burrito reminds me of home and is the *only* one in the entire state I'd bet that I can say that about. I must have tried them all. That aside, I don't look Mexican but I am and don't speak much spanish but I've gone in there they talk about me and call me a gringo on my way walking out. You can tell they are a bit hesitant when white people walk in there since nobody speaks english when you're in there (it is a Mexican grocery store after all) but it's pretty rude to do that with paying, regular customers. I understand what they're saying but just choose not to speak spanish here and let them know I can understand they're talking about me. It keeps me from going back weekly and instead I go once a month or two instead. It's the only Mexican restaurant I've been to that has that vibe. Either way, the weirdness is worth it! No question 5 stars on food but the ambiance needs work. Still I am rating it a 5. I do hope management sees this and addresses the issue to be more welcoming to visitors who don't speak spanish, and talking about the customers and insulting them while they're standing right in front of you is unacceptable no matter where you are.
