Wanted to try out a new buffet so my friend and I decided to give it a go. By far the WORST experience of my 52 years in life. Tried it for lunch. Had limited offers for the price. Mains we 1) liver and onions 2) salmon patties that resembled hushpuppies 3) fried chicken. Friend had liver and chicken..liver over cooked chicken good. I had the salmon hushpuppie...just nasty. The veggies were not great at all. Mac and cheese was off putting. Then we tried to salvage our experience with the salad bar. I got a meat salad (could not identify whatever it was) upon eating I found a a flying insect, not a love bug, but something we could not identify. Pointed this out to the waitress and she said "I am so sorry. Is it a love bug? We will pull that bowl now." No one manager came to Express their apologies nor was a discount of any kind was applied to the check. I come from a waitress background and this is totally unacceptable. I will not go back if they gave it to me for free. Beware. read more

Excellent place for Sunday brunch. The food is great and the buffet is well attended. I would bring my parents or guest here on a Sunday.

This is a buffet style restaurant. It kind of reminds you of a fellowship hall where the buffet is served along with additions seating located in the rear of the place. The food was delicious! It changes up but when we were there they had everything from waffles and grits to fried chicken and low country boil. Great place to stop off for brunch. The cheesy grits while a bit salty were so creamy and yummy. The desserts are yummy too. We had a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and a banana pudding with banana bread in it. Really unique homemade desserts that aren't your typical boxed stuff you find at other places. Worth a stop! read more

Went for Father's Day Brunch and it was outstanding! The food is excellent. Some of the best omelets I've had. Their meat is to die for! Smoked in a "Big Green Egg" out front. Went here for lunch with my husband today. We placed our order and waited and waited... people came in, sat down and were served and waited on. The waitress never acknowledged us again until we got up to leave. Others came in after us and got their food. She never came back to say it was delayed , nothing. There were only 6 or 7 tables at the front of the restaurant so she knew we were there. Very good brunch. The layout is neat and spacious. It has a banquet hall feel to it. The brunch buffet has a variety of delicious foods. Standard breakfast entrees like bacon, grits, biscuits and gravy, made-to-order omelets (which was amazing). The pulled pork was really good and my dad said the shrimp was awesome. Overall, I can't think of any negatives. Just moved to Richmond Hill and I can definitely say I will be back here often. read more

If you go there for dinner the menu is extremely limited. That's 1 of the only reasons it's 4 stars. I got the salmon orzo meal. The salmon was pretty bland hence the other reason for 4 stars. Best food in Richmond Hill, hands down. This place is southern with a touch of elegance. Mark and his wife do an amazing job with the menu, and every Sunday they do a fantastic brunch buffet at a reasonable price without compromising delicious food. My wife and I eat here every chance we get. The family style dining is an excellent way to meet people if you are new to the area, or there is a more formal dining and outside dining when the weather permits. Pretty disappointed all around. Went for Sunday brunch about 15 minutes after they opened at 12.5$ a person. Selection looked decent with breakfast and lunch items and an omelette bar. The French toast and waffles were already cold and lame and very cakey. I took a bite of each and that was it. The fruit pastries sat on a tray in the corner, I reached for them and was bombarded with fruit flies on them (a constant theme throughout all of breakfast actually). cover them up and do something about the insects! The ambiance was very bland with loud late '90s music playing. We sat in the back room with the food and it's a window-less white conference-type room with nothing on the walls. Was not inviting at all. Service was fast and friendly, though, which is really the only good thing about this place. If you're looking for quality rather than quantity, go someplace else. This place just didn't cut it for our weekend breakfast spot. We won't be back. read more

When we were seated, we were given silverware and a drink and told to "help ourselves." Visiting from Florida and was in Georgia for a wedding and was referred here by a friend. It was a Sunday and it was Mother's Day so they were busy. Regardless, this was one of the best southern meals I've ever had. They had everything from biscuits and gravy to an omelette station and also fried chicken (which was to die for). Stopped here for the Sunday brunch on our way down I-95. This is the kind of place I'd love to be a regular at. Good fresh food and a nice, comfortable feel. The staff was great. Best buffet ever! Best brunch ever! Best buffet brunch ever! Wish we lived closer to this charming restaurant. We tried everything on the buffet and it was sooo good. Definitely not buffet quality; much better. In fact, some of the best bbq pork ever was on it. Also, some of the best veggies (collards, potatoes, cabbage). My husband and I eat here often and have always been very happy. On Monday we ordered our regular three peak salad and what a disappointment. None of the salads were the same as previous visits. I couldn't eat the shrimp salad it was so bad. The service was extremely slow and we were never asked if our food was ok. Will not be back which is a shame as Bubba's was one of our favorite lunch spots. read more

Had dinner at Bubba's Bistro last night and it was excellent! The crab cakes off the app menu were great! Also loved their bread and butter. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own wine there is no corkage fee. Will definately go back! read more

A hidden gem! You have to search to find it but it's well worth it! Have eaten there twice for lunch and once for brunch and was very satisfied each time. Hamburgers are huge and cooked to order, shrimp and grits to died or, fried chicken is juicy and tender, and if you have room for desert, you won't be disappointed! Last night I was feeling ill, so my daughter picked up a carry-out of Shrimp & Grits from Bubba's Bistro and delivered it to me. This was my first experience with Bubba's Bistro, so I was anxious to see how their food fared. When I opened the styrofoam carry-out container, I couldn't believe my eyes! The shrimp and grits were, essentially, just dumped on top of a white sheet of food-service paper, which had been placed inside the carry-out container. It looked as though someone had vomited inside the container and closed the lid. Of course, the hot steamy grits had caused the paper to, literally, disintegrate and there was no way to separate the grits from the paper. In the end I had no choice but to toss the shrimp and grits into the garbage and open a can of Campbell's Noodle Soup. This is idiocy at the highest level. I almost have to believe this was an incident of intentional food-sabatoge. Please tell me, who in their right mind serves grits on top of paper? Will I go back to Bubba's Bistro? ... NO! .... If Bubba's cares so little about the quality and presentation of their food, then there are plenty of other places where I can spend my money. read more
