Floors were so dirty & sticky. Menu options seemed good but I was really let down by the Matchacha. Never woulda guessed by taste that it had matcha in it (supposedly). It is quite small inside so stay away during their busy times or you'll be rubbing up against people that are sitting, waiting for their drinks, and those who are in line. What is small, black and yellow, and always drops things? A fumble bee! In the terms of catches and fumbles, Bubble Bee it's probably more of a fumble. At the end of a strip in San Tan village, the store was open and airy... maybe a little too airy... it was freezing and all the doors were open so it wasn't comfortable in there at all. The counters were clean, but the tea jars were dusty and the floors dirty. There were no customers inside, so I took my time perusing the menu. The employee oogled me impatiently. It was a bit difficult to figure out what I wanted and what exactly things were. So I asked the employee for a recommendation. They recommended the Honey Bloom hot drink. The Honey Bloom is a hot green tea with cream, longan honey, and vanilla bean. She suggested that I add the honey boba, which I obliged. The stubby little cups kind of took me a back. But it was nice to see someone doing their own thing. I wasn't impressed by this tea. Despite all the ingredients (not to mention the price tag), it really didn't have much flavor. Not buzzworthy at all! I had never had boba in a hot drink before, and I'm pretty sure I will never again. It made a sticky tapioca sludge on the bottom of my cup, which was kind of weird. No, definitely weird. In addition to the mediocre drink, the gal at the counter definitely wasn't excited to have a customer in store. A great choice for Bobba Tea. So many options to choose from and I felt like this place had so many unique options as compared with most other Bobba tea options. A ton of fun fruit Bobba choices. Store is also well decorated and has some photo ops. The only downside was that the line was quite long and for being my first time at the store the employees did not have much patience when I had a few questions before ordering. read more

This is located in the Scottsdale quarter. We love boba and this was one we hadn't tried before. It's a cute spot. There menu is very specific and lots to choose from. We had a couple of questions on even a few of the items since we hadn't seen those combinations before. I got the usual taro, it was a bit subdued in the flavor section, in comparison to all the others I've had. However, all three of my family's were absolutely delicious. Been here a couple times and I thought was at least 3 star worthy but this last time I went I am definitely not coming back. Here's my story. Drove my friend to Lane Bryant and when she got done I suggested we go to Bubble Bee to get our boba on. As we got there, they were pretty busy which was not a surprise for a saturday afternoon. I got my usual large strawberry green tea with boba and my friend wanted to try one of their chai tea drinks with boba. We got our drinks and as soon as we got into the car we have to deal with the usual annoying design of the cup that is not cup holder friendly so basically you have to hold on to your drink the whole time with one hand. That was always a given which we tend to overlook just so we can enjoy our drinks. Only this day was the worst. First of all, they hardly put any boba in our drinks. Second of all, there was way more ice than usual. Lastly, both our drinks were bland. Hardly any flavor. We were so disappointed that we ended up going to another boba place to make up for the 12 dollars we wasted. So that's it for us. Bubble Bee in the summer time can be a bit of a nightmare with a bunch of kids crammed up at this place. The seating area is also pretty messy as well as the order pick up section. It's so busy they barely have time to clean. Aside from all that I have to say the drinks are really refreshing. I enjoyed the strawberry horchata but my favorite so far is the glamorous drink. I just wish they had more room to enjoy our drinks inside. On the bright side your drinks are sealed off with plastic so that you can make the trip home and not spill anything. Would I come again? I have no idea how this place was busy. We are new to the area and wanted to have some bubble tea so we drove to this location. The line was long and the wait was around 20 minutes + on a Wednesday arvo so I figured that it would be decent. Nopeeeeeeee. It's been awhile since I've had terrible bubble tea and this is going down as one of those experiences. We ordered a Queen Taro and a Matchacha tea and it was so watered down. Watered down so much that you could barely taste the flavor. The pearls/boba were harder and definitely not fresh for an establishment that is busy. As I was walking the drinks hit together and one of them cracked since it is plastic and it was spilling everywhere. I took it back and the girl was very nice and remade the drink quickly. I cannot remember the name of my drink, but it was really good. I added regular boba. The only thing I didn't know was it came with popping boba and I did not see that included in the drink. The supposedly "organic honey" tapioca balls--the place's namesake--are actually completely flavorless. They serve it in a bowl instead of a cup so you look like a clown walking around the mall. Absolutely no reason to serve it in a bowl. I'm assuming this place's repeat customers and good reviews are from people who have never had a boba tea before. Please try others. During my day in the east valley, the boba urge hit me so I found the nearest and decently reviewed boba place. The results: Bubble Bee! First, I love the name. Very clever! They advertise that they are the only boba shop in AZ that uses organic tea leaves, which I appreciate. For whatever reason, I thought whatever I ordered would be overly sweet so I ensured to the cashier that I wanted a minimal amount of sweetness, which they were able to deliver. I opted for the original milk tea, which comprised of oolong tea, creamer and brown sugar with boba. There are two sizes for each drinks: fat and baby fat. I ordered the fat size, which comes in an unconventional shape cup but it's cute for pictures. The total with tax came out to 5.59. Before tax, the baby fat is 4.69. For my taste, the boba was too creamy. The boba wasn't the best in terms of texture. It was a bit hard and not that chewy. Overall, I thought it was alright. I would give this place another try if I was in the area. For the cost, location and end product, it's doesn't make it on the list of my personal favorite boba places in the valley. But for the location and convenience, I would go back if the boba urge strikes again! read more

This local organic tea shop specializes in Honey Boba, Loose-Leaf Tea, Juices, Smoothies, and so much more! Even my kids love it! My favorite drink is called Glamorous, and I get it with extra peach poppers and strawberry jelly! I also tried The Hulk & Goldilocks, which were also great, but I alway go back to Glamorous! My first Bubble Bee taste was from the Celebration of Yelp 15th Birthday held here in San Tan Mall. It was a part of their promotional sample along with another cup full of stickers and a keychain and of off course a small Peachy Lychee and Papa Guava. I love the combination of the mixed flavors and the bubble poppers popping in my mouth, bursting with little amount of fruit juice. The customer service provided me with some information about their Organic Tea-based blended, fruity and creamy drinks. You can customize your add-on with any of these delicious natural honey boba, fruity poppers or jellies. A little bit more pricey than any other regular boba shop, but it might be, because of their organic tea-based. The size are inconveniently irregular, so it does not fit in any cup holder I have in my vehicle. I was so looking forward to like this place and make it my go to boba place but it just didn't meet the expectation. The place is conveniently located around the corner of Macy's at the SanTan mall. The place is trendy and cute. But that is all it is about. We went with enchanted chai with honey boba and mango all the way with jelly. The chai was just alright and being a regular boba drinker, I could tell easily that the boba wasn't fresh and the drink said honey boba and they served it with a regular boba. Mango all the way was much better but it wasn't the best yet. They do not have the sugar customization option which other places are offering these days. The service wasn't that great either and though the store wasn't very busy there was hardly any greetings when we entered or exited the store. One could get some refreshing drinks but not boba. Please stick to jelly or something else. The price is average for the size and the cups are fancy. Wouldn't be visiting anytime soon though. read more

I got the King Taro with honey boba from Bubble Bee because I was looking to try out a new boba spot in Gilbert! The drink is supposed to be black tea, taro, and coconut but I can only taste the taro flavor. I was a little disappointed at this because I was excited to try a taro with coconut drink! In addition, I did not enjoy the honey boba because I could tell the boba was old since it was rock hard. It's like when you refrigerate your boba overnight and the boba hardens. I loved the aesthetic of the place coming in. The concept was also really interesting. It's apparently the first loose leaf tea place in Arizona. The menu also has really cute names for the drinks like "Cloud 9" and "Love Story." But that's honestly about it. I wanted a milk tea with a green tea base coming in. I asked the employees what they would recommend for that preference and I ended up with a strawberry smoothie looking drink. The menu was also slightly confusing in terms of their classification of the drinks between the two creamy sections. I think some of the titles are kind of misleading especially when you look at the actual ingredients. I ended up getting the Love Story, it's not bad, but it just wasn't what I was looking for. My kiddos very much enjoy the boba tea that they get from Bubble Bee, pretty much any time we are at San Tan Village. The establishment itself is clean and comfortable, although it can get quite crowded...it's not a very large space. The people are friendly and the product itself is good.
