Why didn't the Sun go to college? Because it already has millions of degrees :D Ok enough with the jokes, time to get Sirius. My wife and I came here on a Saturday. Or was it on a Moon-day? Anyway, it wasn't busy and we didn't have trouble finding a parking space. As I explored the expansive boba menu my eyes gravitated towards an unfamiliar one, sesame milk tea. I was feeling adventurous (I am a Pisces) and got it with 75% sweetness. It was out of this world! It tasted mildly sweet and a bit nutty. I liked the flavor of my wife's (unmodified) Thai tea honey lemon, but it was astronomically sweet. One more sip would have launched my blood sugar level to the moon! As we sipped our drinks we admired the space themed interior. There's three tables for two, a pair of chairs, a bench, and a kids picnic table. Prices are on par with other boba places. Great service! The employee was hospitable and we didn't have to wait a light year for our drinks. Overall, I had a stellar experience at Nova Boba!

Owner was very sweet and happy to take our order right when they opened! My husband got the honeydew milk tea as a frappe with brown sugar boba. He loves boba and said it was an amazing flavor! I got the mocha frappe and really enjoy it! I love sweeter coffees and the size is great! The store itself was very cute and the theming is well done and matches the cups. We're definitely going back again!

The service was excellent, and the staff we spoke with were very friendly. The interior ambiance is a bit small, but that's expected for a boba shop. However, it had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The boba was also quite good, and I particularly enjoyed the matcha coco.

Amazing new boba place in town! They had such a fun menu to choose from. There are lots of fun options for different types of Thai tea as well! You can also make your own and there are different bases? Flavors and boba to add! We tried the strawberry Thai tea and the lemon tea. Both were delicious! And the lemon tea tasted like we were back in Thailand. Very friendly staff and can't wait to go back!

This boba spot is ok. It's located at a busy area, just across the street from Epicenter (Higley & Ray) in Gilbert. It is also located next to a pretty decent Thai place, Ta Lew Thai Bistro. The place was pretty compact, were the max capacity of about 20 people. It's pretty clean and quiet, except when you go in and out of their bathroom. The bathroom and door did not have a soft clothes mechanism so when you go in and out of it, the door slams pretty loud. The menu was decent, but it did not one of my favorite flavors, Ube and avocado. I had a sesame milk tea with coconut jelly, my wife had a taro milk, tea, 200% sweetened, with crystal Boba, and my kids shared a strawberry frappe with regular Boba. The sizes were pretty OK, but they put too much ice. It was worth a try being new in the neighborhood, but I think we'll go to our usual Boba spot.

This place has been my go-to boba spot in town with reasonable price and friendly service. And I'm so happy that they added sushi on their menu now! I tried their epics roll and combo tuna with my favorite drink(sesame milk). Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

Excellent Thai Tea and they have a ton of Thai tea variations. My favorite is the strawberry jam Thai tea. But all the drinks are good! Staff is so friendly. It's in a great location too!

They are new and very friendly. Family owned and Boba is good. Must try will be going again!

Here's yourI just ordered the beef bowl and sushi, and I was really impressed. The flavors were amazing, and the portions were so generous! I wasn't expecting to get that much food, but it was definitely worth it. They also had boba, which was a great bonus!

Amazing service. Chill vibes. Yummy tea!!! I've been about 4 times now and never disappoints

Fresh Milk Brown Sugar with Boba

I have boba pretty regularly. The boba was definitely old and was not a good texture at all. It tasted like when you leave boba in your fridge overnight, too soft and unpleasant. I do not recommend this place, there are far better options around.

Thai Tea Strawberry w brown sugar boba and oat milk

Will be returning to try all the flavors! We just walked in on a whim and were greeted right away! Ordered off the tablet in the front and got a Thai tea strawberry! Best boba drink I've had in Gilbert! I love the way this place was decorated as well

We walked in a weekday night and found the dining area quite small and full, except for their final open table next to the entrance. We took that spot and found out 'the hard way' they have those dastardly uncomfortable metal chairs. Not only is the seat firm and not cushioned, the bar that wraps around pinches in on your hip. We almost left but decided to tough it out. Our server was attentive and friendly and our order came out quite quickly. We ordered a few specialty rolls like their sweet potato roll, dragon roll and caterpillar roll. I also ordered a salmon sashimi. All of the rolls were well presented and best of all, tasty! It's not near the best sushi I've had, but it filled the craving we had. The wall murals and decor were simple but classy. We also noticed the noise level was good despite many people in a small space. Overall, this is a nice little neighborhood spot for sushi and worth a visit!

I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.

Course 1: Hamachi Peach Crudo peach amazu / pickled daikon/ smoked tomato oil / red pepper. This dish was right in my alley! I love Hamachi, and peach! And this is my first time having this combo in a crudo. It was many flavors all combined in one dish. 10/10 . **Please add this dish to your permanent menu! Course 2: Spicy Scallop Futomaki/hokkaido scallop / benishoga / chili crisp/ takuan / wasabi mayo. This roll tastes great, scallop tastes fresh and I love the way it was seasoned. However the rice around it was too much that I couldn't taste the scallop fully. I wouldn't get this dish again because of the rice around it was too much. Course 3: Ocean Trout Mi-Cuit/ okinawa potato croquette / citrus cream/fried capers / crispy salmon skin. I love the cream and the capers in this dish. The fish is seared. Although not much flavor in the fish itself but because of the sauce, it complements the dish well. Course 4: Dessert - Yuzu Lychee Sorbet/vanilla whisky hojicha granita. Oh my gosh, this is my favorite dish! It was so good and refreshing! The yuzu sorbet was tart and creamy. And the hojicha ice underneath was delicious! I would come back to the restaurant just for this dish and the first dish!

Our…read moreserver was great and really helped us figure out what to order since there were a lot of options on the menu. She was super attentive too and kept refilling our drinks throughout the meal. We tried a mix of specialty rolls and more basic rolls. Most of the specialty rolls were around $15 each, while the basic rolls were under $10. The spicy tuna rolls were especially good for the price because they were cheap, but still came out huge. Overall the portions were very generous and the prices weren't bad at all. I got the Hell Fire roll and it definitely lived up to the name. I handle spicy food really well and even for me this thing was extremely spicy. It was almost painfully hot, but honestly I kind of enjoyed the challenge, It was also really good besides just being spicy, so I'd definitely get it again. The inside also had a cool vibe with all the colorful lighting and it wasn't too busy when we went which was nice. Most of our sushi came out almost immediately. The fried rolls understandably took a little longer since they had to be made fresh. My only small complaint is I wish everything would of came out closer to the same time, because some of us already had food while we were still waiting on the fried rolls. Overall, really good food, huge portions, fair prices and great service, definitely a spot I'd come back to.

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. I felt that the portion was good for a large meal, but my friend who got the chef's combo definitely had enough for leftovers.
