We ordered about $50 worth the food. Once we got to the window, we paid, and then we're given our drinks. After we were given our drinks, we were informed they needed to wait on chicken to cook, and were asked to pull around and park. I stated that we don't participate in that program and would be happy to sit and wait, in the drive through (no one was in line behind us), as its supposed to be "first come, first served". The employee then went and got the "manager", who again explained about the wait, and again I stated I don't participate in that pull around and park program (its so that they can keep their drive through timers low and upper level managers get bonus for metric and KPI alignments). The manager "Samantha", then told me if I didn't pull around and wait for my food they'd call the cops on me. Really!?! I cancelled my order and went elsewhere. For that price... the customer service should be better, focusing on serving your customers well, and in a timely fashion. That amount of money equals a sit down dinner... not fast food with attitude. POOR FORM!!! Also, this location may respond to customer complaints... but they promise better service "in the future". It doesn't get better when you do nothing for the people your staff had wronged. What about meal replacements? Gift cards? Actual human interaction? I'd give it 3.5. I started liking pickles but not cucumbers haha because of the sour and tangy flavor. I saw that they had fried pickles and wanted to try because I never had it before. I asked for tartar. The pickles themselves had a nice thickness. The batter was a little too spicy for me. The tartar helped reduce the heat (yes, I am not very good at eating spicy however after the heat died down I wanted to eat more ahhaa. I've lived up and down the entire west coast and been to A LOT of Popeyes. This was hands down the best Popeyes location I've EVER been to. Service was amazing, food was hot and seasoned well and the employees are something special over here. They work well together and I even heard them saying please and thank you to each other while working! Ok so I grew up in Knoxville Tennessee (Go Vols) and I had known about Popeye's for a long time. Their tagline "Louisiana...Fast" was lodged in my brain. So I hooked a U-Turn and turned back on to Walker, passed McDonald's and parked. Upon walking in to the restaurant I was welcomed by Hispanic music. Now don't get me wrong, I dig it, but shouldn't there have been some Zydeco playing. I am a big believer of the music fitting the cuisine. This is a bad indication in my opinion. Secondly, I did check in on YELP, and I noticed that there were only 2 stars. Now this really worried me. But I had already committed to it, so I ordered. I got the (heretofore amazing) chicken sandwich, Cole slaw for the side and a Diet (yeah I know) coke to drink. It really appeared like the place was understaffed. There were multiple food delivery companies waiting and they were a little miffed because their orders were wrong and had to be remade. I was waiting and every minute I became a little agitated. Finally (probably after 6 minutes) I got my order. I sat down to investigate. Before I get to the food review, I just want to mention the cost. The sandwich was $4.75 by itself and it was something like $8.79 for the combo. I would have been better off just getting the sandwich and a water. I tore into the sandwich and it was quite underwhelming. There was a lot of breading, a little chicken, and zero flavor. There was absolutely no seasoning on the chicken. There were some pickles but the chicken was dry and it was basically a "nothing burger". I was craving a Chik-Fil-A chicken sandwich to make up for it, but I had to move on and get my daughter. I used to order here regularly because I actually love the flavor of their fried chicken, so it feels bad to have to post this, especially because I miss what Popeye's used to be. Now after several repeats of the same problem, it's probably time to just move on. Essentially, their tenders are now consistently about half the size of what we used to get in the past. If it's intentional, it just pushes customers away. We're likely to never order from here anymore, sadly. This sandwich, for $3.99 is well worth it. I went during normal weekday lunch time, everything was fresh, crunchy and juicy chicken, the bread was perfect, and the pickle was just enough to give a bit more complexity to the taste. The red beans and rice was just like i remembered, good taste of ham hock in it. The gravy on the mashed potatoes was different than i remember and i don't think quite as good. The biscuits were ok, but they had cooled off by the time i ate it. As far as the dipping sauces given, they gave a bunch. My wife had a 2 piece meal, and we ordered 3 spicy chicken tenders extra. There was a miscommunication and we were given 6 tenders instead. I was ik with that. The other thing was the guy expediting made an extra 2 piece meal and when they realized it gave it to us anyway. The extent of my experience here can be summed up in a handful of drive-thru experiences; my order each time has been the same (two chicken sandwiches, one spicy and one classic). I'd say the portion and quality of the food has been pretty consistent and because the order is so simple there haven't been any mixups. There was one time that my chicken patty was a bit smaller than the others but that was probably the universe trying to tell me that I shouldn't be eating a fried chicken sandwich on a weekly basis. (Nobody's asked but imo the Popeye's spicy chicken sandwiches are the best of the fast food bunch. KFC has the runner up, McDonald's were terrible. We came here to try their famous Crispy chicken sandwiches ($3.99)! It was very busy on a Sunday at lunchtime. There were a lot of people working, but seemingly only 1-2 people making chicken sandwiches, which appeared to be the rate-limiting step. However, the sandwiches did not disappoint! The soft butter-toasted brioche bun was nice, and the dill pickles added a nice contrast. The chicken was a good size--covered the area of the bun. Update: the Manager, Nidal, was a gentleman and absolutely fixed the issue. i changed my 1 star to 5 star. Nidal took the time to discuss all the issues we had and I am confident he will make things right. we made a large order for pick up at specific time. first, they gave us someone else's order. then, they said they just received the order and app didn't work. then, the assistant manager comes out and said she made the order 3 hours ago and someone picked it up. i pointed out that the order was made less than an hour and half ago, she changed her story. they get the manager/owner on the line. i tell them to just make the food and i'll pay for it and we can figure out who took the food. they refused. the whole time they admitted to this happening again and they were aware of the problem. so they gave our food that we paid for to someone else and refused to fix problem. this is problem with franchises. no accountability and they are too cheap to admit their mistakes and fix them. these owners had the chance to fix the problem. i even said look at your security cameras. your people didn't check anything and gave away $150 worth of food to wrong person. and now you make my family and I pay for your staff mistakes. read more

It's a Popeye's chain location. That means I can't really assess this based on quality or menu offerings or price, since those are relatively constant wherever. What I can say is that this location consistently offers an excellent drive-thru experience, with fresh fries, crispy chicken, and smiles and jokes, even at 1AM. The reason for the missing mark, and the warning I have to offer you: I've never gotten a delivery order from this location that's been both timely and correct. Once, the order was an hour late. Once, the drink was missing. Once, an entire side. While I've had nothing but great experiences with the drive-thru, the delivery seems to be a bit of a roulette. read more
