So I only order fish here. They changed from Halibut to black cod. They say they are giving you an extra piece but the problem is the pieces of " fish " are actually mostly thick panko breading... I had a hard time enjoying this as they overcooked the " fish ". They shouldn't charge more than 5 for the 4 piece as breading isn't expensive and there are two places you can get fish and chips nearby that you can actually see flakes of fish when when bite into them. This just looked like breading... not a place for fish and chips or a fish sandwich unless you plan on eating bread with tartar sauce and lettuce and a hint of fish... read more

I usually like Burgerville and have been visiting their locations (including this one) for many years. Overall I enjoy their burgers and fish items, as well as the shakes and onion rings. I think their prices have become some of the highest in the industry though. I rarely eat here now due to the prices. Today I visited this location & ordered a coupe of medium sized fish sandwich basket meals with a shake (one each for my wife and me). Each was over $18. The sandwiches were good but they were a bit small. I also asked for tomato to be added (an extra charge) but they didn't add tomato. I feel like the meals didn't justify the price, especially when getting charged for something that ended up not being included. read more

It's been a while since I visited Burgerville but we wanted to try the seasonal Parmesan Truffle Waffle Fries - nice and crispy perfect with the garlic aioli dip. I love that everything is locally sourced and the classic cheeseburger is about $5 for good quality. The kids meal is fun too, it comes with cheeseburger, fries, a choice of small drink (we for lemonade) and some fun stickers. Our friend had the chicken tenders and a chocolate shake. It's not the cheapest burger option around in the land of Wendy's and McDonald's but I wanted to support this local chain. Service was ok not overly welcoming and you're expected to tip the way their payment system is set up. But I really liked they had little kids tables in the restaurant. Very thoughtful design. This will be a once-in-awhile place to visit for us but looking forward to the summer again for the onion rings and the Marionberry shakes! read more

Ordered on the app for curbside pick up at 7:15. Arrived at 7:15 and checked in on app. At 7:25 I went inside and there was my food sitting there with 6-8 employees standing around and no other customers in line. I asked about curbside pick up and the app and got an unenthusiastic shrug. Took my order to go. The burgers and fries were not hot. I won't be going back. I worked across the street from this location for a long time. I rarely would be in a situation to grab lunch or dinner from here. So it has been quite a time since I went to this location. A friend and I were heading to a movie and wanted to grab some food near the theater. She really does not have a Burgerville close to her and had never had them before at all. I was excited to have her try them since she is a vegan. We go out together a lot and have issues getting great places to eat at times because so many places have so few options. She was VERY happy - especially with the seasonal peppermint sundae. I already miss the apple crumble sundae they had for the fall which as incredible. A lot of times I order the plant based desserts because they have all the flavor but are far lighter to eat which I appreciate. This time I went for a turkey burger and I do love that I can get beef, chicken, fish, turkey or vegan because I personally change my mind a lot and order something different nearly every time I go here. I also love their salads an that they are actually salads with a nice mix of greens and vegetables. They usually have pretty great seasonal salads as well and they stuff a lot into that container. Their food is higher priced than other spots but you can immediately tell why - just look at the difference. And hay, I get it and genuinely I am all for what you need that day! Somedays I am completely a McDonalds super cheapo menu or make myself something healthy and lovely at home. Somedays I want some crazy good fries soaked in oil from Five Guys... or a stupid spendy burger from a French restaurant with fresh avocado and mushrooms I can't pronounce. In the past when I have gone to Burgerville the burgers were dry, and left much to be desired. However we had it for dinner today. It was great! I had the 1/2pound colossal burger with fries. The burger was seasoned well and had a good amount of condiments. It tasted very good and I was sad once I ate it all. I would give this location a chance if you are on the fence about Burgerville. They say they use local ingredients, if that is true what a great way to support restaurants outside of the typical fast food burger places. After living in the Portland area for 20 years, I think I am over Burgerville on the corporate level. I give them a star for using local purveyors and farmers for their seasonal items. And a star for still having a turkey burger and a vegetarian black bean burger as options. But. Extra sauces cost extra beyond 1. Bacon costs $1+ a strip. I think it is $1.10. Whipped cream on a milkshake costs extra now. Seasonal berry shakes and lemonades have less berries. Way less. My kid loves the halibut fish and chips. The pieces of fish are often tiny and the dish is not inexpensive at $10.99. They took away some options we liked. I know other people maybe didn't like the old cold Turkey club on a wheat bun, but we did. They nixxed sesame seed buns and have fancy "brioche buns" and we do not like them. Prices are high, yes they were always high, but they are higher. And there are tip jars at all the registers including drive thru. They keep fussing with and changing their menu. For a while salads came in small and large, which I liked. Not any more. Some seasonal items have come once and gone forever. We like the workers at this one. They are friendly and nice. We tip them. We can tell they do not like nickel and diming us for extra bbq sauce. Sigh. I know they are trying to stay in business and looking for the right lane. Especially if In and Out is headed our way. Burgers were delicious. The first thing that I noticed when I stepped inside was that the restaurant looked like a 90s diner. Persoanlly - thought their theming went well with the type of food served. The staff here were super friendly. Had a pleasant conversation while I ordered my food. Got the original double cheeseburger and a seasonal sakad with grilled chicken and balsamic vinaigrette. One thing to note is that the sakads are premade, and you can not substitute anything inckuding leaving stuff out. The dressing comes on the side, and they have a decent amount to choose from. One thing that did surprise me was that they would bring the food to our table. The cashiers would also check in with the customers to make sure everything was going well. The burger was pretty good. It's much tastier than your average fast food burger due to the quality of the beef patty. They also have their own sauce that they put on the burger that was really good. The salad was okay. The blend was good, but the greens in the salad (spinach, cabbage, and lettice) didn't look the freshest. I would recommend getting their burger or fries over their healthier options. Overall - definitely one of the best fast food burgers out there. More pricey than your McDonalds or Burger King, but they use local and higher quality ingredients (can taste the difference), so I think its worth the additional cost. read more

The first time I've ever had a burgerville burger that was bad. Buns were dry, not much sauce....did not taste like a burgerville burger. I dont get it. Between Uber Eats and Burgerville, I have yet to get a correct order delivered. As someone who worked at Burgerville many, many, years ago, I can say with confidence that it is not a difficult job. Why all the mistakes. And dont even get me started on the driver. They didnt include the shake, then Uber Eats didnt refund the full price. Also, it wont let me change the tip amount. Why would I want to tip a driver that did not look to make sure my order was correct and made me walk to the other end of the building and into the parking lot to get my order. And its not just this location that is the problem. I ordered from them to aviod the same issues I experienced with the Tigard location. Sorry for my rant, I'm sick of bad food and bad drivers. read more

It's been quite some time since I've been here approximately 4 years since then I've heard about the higher prices and smaller burgers and for a bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries in a regular combo was just under $16 WOW and the thing about smaller burgers was also true although the waffle fries were crispy the burger was just okay it was nothing that stood out compared to other fast food restaurants and at in my opinion the combo would be a good deal at 1/2 the price paid lol I was expecting a great burger for $15 almost any local pub will get you an amazing burger and a beer oh well lesson learned it'll be about another 4years before they see me coming. This shake was very rich and the flavor gets nauseating after about halfway thru and I was not able to finish it. A little pricey at 5.39 for a small. What happened to the original hamburger? I expect the wait time, as everything is made to order, but the food is usually worth the wait. There was only 1 person in front of me who was waiting at the window when I pulled up - I only ordered 2 original hamburgers and it still took over 30 minutes. Definately not worth the weight! We love Burgerville! My husband grew up in the area and couldn't wait to take me to Burgerville during our first visit to Portland together. Years later we still eat here every time we're in town. The burgers are super tasty and the restaurant is always very clean. A few of our favorite menu items are the Tillamook Cheeseburger, Walla Walla Onion Rings, Fried Asparagus, and Rosemary Shoestring Fries. Be sure to get a side of every dipping sauce! Decided to take my teenage daughter for a quick lunch today and we both decided we will never be back. First time here, this location seems a bit nicer than others I've driven past. We ordered a burger kids meal and another burger, sweet potato fries w/chocolate milkshake. Ordering at the counter was easy enough, however my daughters kids meal burger was missing a chunk of meat which they easily replaced with another full size burger. The sweet potato fries were very good, nice and hot with just the right amount of salt. My burger was very good, juicy and flavorful. The milkshake was good as well but not mind-blowing. It is similar to the ones you can get at Jack in the Box minus the cherry. I think they're still a bit pricey in comparison to other similar places. I'm impressed that the (high school aged) young staff were so professional and well mannered. That is a rarity. They handled some mishaps very well and apologized when correcting them. I only recently discovered that they serve breakfast options. I got a breakfast burrito (egg, cheese and sausage). It was approximately $4 and it wasn't huge but I thought the perfect size /value. It was delicious, not greasy at all like some other breakfast burritos in the area , tasted fresh like you made it at home, and it was easy to eat on my way into work . I just ordered a fish sandwich from the drive-thru. I cost me $9.23 (with tax) and this is what I got after a 5 minute wait: A toasted white bun with a piece of fish that was 3x3", 3 cm thick; a piece of wilted lettuce, and a very small "squirt" of tarter sauce. I quit eating fast food and bought a gym membership 10 years ago (August 2004). But when I was up in Beaverton visiting my godparents, they told me about this place. I was immediately sold on the blackberry shakes. For those who whine about BV being more expensive than McD's, BK, or Wendy's, well, what do you expect from a place that is committed to using higher quality ingredients? In what world does that happen? Don't tell me that you also expect organic produce to be cheaper than non-organic. Service was competent (a rarity at fast food places), friendly, and super fast. Our food came out while we were still filling our cups at the soda fountain after placing our order! They don't use heat lamps, so I'm pretty sure that they started making it while we were placing our long order, modifying it, and squabbling over who would pay. Also a more diverse menu than a typical fast food restaurant: not only are there different types of hamburgers (single, double, cheeseburger, Tillamook cheeseburger), there are a variety of other sandwiches as well. Veggie burgers, chicken breast sandwiches, etc. Great selection. I normally don't like onion rings, but these sweet Walla Walla onion rings were the right ratio of batter to onion, so I didn't get lost in a sea of batter with an onion the width of a hair. Burgers are on the thin side because it's only 1/4 lb pre-cooked. Fries are pretty standard as well. But at least you can feel good about them being locally sourced, fresh ingredients. The milkshakes were a sweet, creamy treat bursting with blackberry goodness. I kept telling my bf that if he didn't hurry up and drink his milkshake that I would.
