Not very good. Took my toddler girl for a haircut. The lady spent literally 2 minutes cutting her hair. She just sprayed water on her hair, combed her hair, took her scissors and just just cut along the bottom. Then she said she was done. I could have done that at home and for free. Later at home I noticed there was slight unevenness on the bottom. I guess this place thinks that just because they cut kids hair there's no technique or styling required. If you want to go to place where you have to part your child's hair for the stylist, tell them to fix the cut two times and still walk out with the right side of your child's hair longer than the left side, then this is your place! Thanks Bubble Cuts! We will not be returning. read more

I had been taking my son to Bubble Cuts Eagle Rock for years, but our preferred stylists kept leaving. I moved my kids over to Little Kuts on Lake, and after a really terrible haircut for each (think Dumb and Dumber bangs, despite that I specifically requested to keep both of their bangs long), I just started letting my kids' hair grow out. My son, now 6.5 yo was begging for a shorter cut so we tried BC Montrose two months ago and got Greta. She did a fantastic job with what I then requested, a styled version of his long hair. I was so pleased. We just went back to Greta today to chop it all off for the summer, and I could not have been more happy with my son's haircut. Greta manages to be both meticulous and quick, and completely patient and kind (even to the nervous hovering mama who was worried about this big change going wrong). It helped immensely that I showed her photos of what I wanted for my son, and she even asked to see them again when she was finishing the cut. I was so happy I wanted to dance. And now my son has an adorable and comfortable haircut. I cannot recommend her enough! read more

Took my son here for his 1st cut. He was so enjoying the Fire truck chair and the veggie tales on TV that he let her cut it with ease. The cut turned out great and he loved it! Even got a sucker on his way out.. As for this place they have 4 individual stations each with their OWN tv. They can play a bunch of programming for your child of your choice while the hair is being cut. They have a play area for siblings who are waiting and a large screen that happened to be playing curious George when I was in. My son loves Curious George... It was perfect. It is wonderfully decorated and really made the haircut an enjoyable experience NOT ONLY for my son, but for Mom and Dad also. Loved it. They even gave him a baloon on way out and had childrens hair products for sale... HIGHLY recommend for your little ones. We will be back. read more

Cute and clean but I always regret coming here. The haircuts are awful. I always end up standing behind the stylist telling them where they need to even it out, etc. It's also pretty expensive for kids haircuts. You're paying for the cute chairs and the Netflix. read more

OLD 2019 review, thought I'd still post, because I'll never forget this terrible experience. Please note, in all fairness, this lady may no longer work there, but even so, just in case: I took my toddler to cut her bangs. Took maybe 5 minutes, paid 12$, plus 5$ tip. Less than 30 mins later, I noticed the lady missed several sections, so I had to go back (BTW, parking is DIFFICULT). I was holding my daughter's face gently, my daughter was being fairly still, but she kept forcefully grabbing her face and jerking it towards her, in a very aggressive manner, and blaming my 2 year old for moving her eyebrows! I was trying SO HARD TO USE ALL MY PATIENCE NOT TO REACT because who does that?!?! That's the worse part, but also, she messed up her bangs even more!! That day and the next day I spent at least 30 minutes trying to fix my daughters bangs because there is NOOOOO way I'm going back to this place. I can still see one of her obvious mistakes in all of the pictures we've taken. more than 10 days later, and I'm still suffering the consequences. read more

My daughter had her hair cut here last weekend and she truly enjoyed the experience. It was easy to make an appointment and there was literally no waiting. My husband and I took our 15 month old daughter to get her first haircut at Bubble Cuts on a Sunday, about an hour before closing. I had called earlier in the week to check about making an appointment first, but was told over the phone that they only accept walk-ins on the weekends. We ended up waiting 10-15 minutes tops, during which my daughter occupied herself by playing with toys in the salon's designated play area. We were looking to get her a pixie cut (which we knew was a little unconventional for a baby girl) and unfortunately the stylist did miss the mark a bit, but our daughter still ended up with a nice, short haircut. But most importantly, she didn't complain or fuss while getting her haircut! The stylist worked quickly and even brought over a toy for her to look down at so that she could maneuver her head down to cut the hair along the back of her neck. And since we informed them that it was her first ever haircut, they were careful to collect whatever trimmings they could for us to keep. We decided to pay an extra $15 to get a cute framed certificate designating the day of her first haircut, with the trimmings placed inside, and a photo - which I was impressed that they even offered! But the main reason I felt compelled to leave a good review was for their courteous and friendly service staff. They even give out balloons to the kids as they walk out! I would definitely bring my daughter to get her haircut here again, just not maybe for a super trendy cut. read more

Our son's first haircut at 15-month old! Violet is very friendly with kids and professional with parents. She is well-skilled and works quickly with little ones. We had a great experience and are pleased with the style and cut. Greta is also very nice and great with kids. My only suggestion to the store is to put better lighting for photo-taking purposes. It's a bit dark during the day (with back-lit from the windows). Additional overhead lights would be great for posting photos. read more

Went there for the first haircut. The person who did the haircut had a horrible attitude, which she supposed to be very nice and friendly since she works with little kids!!! I took my 2 (almost 3) year old son here the other day. They did a great job on his haircut! I went on a Wednesday morning right at 10 and was able to walk right in and put him in the fire truck- no waiting (I did not make an appointment). The woman who cut his hair did a very nice job. Well my 22 month old just had her first haircut and I am crying. THat was the worst experience I have had in a hair establishment. My daughter's hair looks terrible!!! The stylist did not listen to anything I said and when I asked questions during the cut she was extremely argumentative. I should have listened to the other posts that said the staff was rude. To top it all off, I waited for her to make a certificate (35$$$) only for her to spell July "jully". When I told her that July was spelled wrong she argued with me about that too and insisted it was correct until she looked it up on her phone. She then asked me to write out the certificate. Ugh. I'm sick to my stomach. Did I mention her hair is completely chopped off and terrible ??!!! read more

The two stars for the review are for the fact that my nephew walked out of here with a balloon, sucker and got to watch Mickey Mouse while he had his haircut. We have been here twice before had each time the same experience....the staff is rude, they give the haircut they want not what you ask them for and its way too expensive!!!! We walked in on a Wednesday morning at exactly 10am when they open, as soon as we walked in, instead of being greeted I was asked "do you have an appointment?!!", I replied "good morning, no I did not make appointment, should I come back later?". She then proceeded to walk to the computer and told me to wait. So we did....for 15 minutes!!!! No other clients were there, the phone wasn't ringing, she was literally just staring at the computer for 15 minutes. I finally told her i would just come back another time ( with no intent to return obviously). Then she finally said she would take him. He sat down, and I explained to her how I wanted his haircut, she shook her head yes. That's it! She never spoke to me, never spoke to my nephew. When she was done she said "all done" and walked away. I understand there may be a language barrier....then please do not work in customer service. It cost $25 to trim a 3 year olds hair....that's crazy!!! If the overall experience was friendly, fun and enjoyable for my nephew, I might be back to pay that price but not with rude staff! read more

They are not very good with doing hipster cuts for straight fine hair. My son has a lot of this kind of hair so I usually take him to a hairdresser friend but his hair was way too long and so I thought I'd give Bubble Cuts one more try since it's so close, convenient, cute and clean. They shave quickly (which I love) and the ladies there are super nice, but no finesse to the cuts. I'm used to seeing hairdressers cut down into the hair (when they gather the hair between their fingers). Our lady did a blunt cut across for every time she held his hair up to cut. My son now has something like a chili bowl undercut. :-( And to add some texture she used some scissors that just go in and snip some hairs, but it was too much for the kind of hair he has. Now his hair looks thin while before it was thin but so full you couldn't tell. Next time I can't get a hold of my friend I'm going to try an old school Barber Shop. Sorry B.C. I will say though one kid with crazy thick wavy hair got a cute cut, so they may work better with more forgiving hair. Now I'm off to buy some hair products to try and disguise my boy's cut until it grows out. read more
