We had my son's first hair cut here. The cars are super cute for pictures, and they have on kids' shows to distract them, which is great for some wiggly kids. Brenda cut my son's hair and gave him the perfect haircut. It was exactly what we wanted and he looks so handsome. She was also great with my son and with the parents. It's so hard to find good kids' haircut place that is consistent. We don't live close it's so worth it driving here for kids' haircut. We use Violet and Karen, they are so quick and good. My boys haircut always come out nice. Making an appointment through yelp is always quick and convenient. Calling in sometimes hit or miss, understandable if they are busy. Parking has never been an issue. If you go on Sunday when they have farmers market might have tonwakna bit, I recommend parking in the back and use back door. read more

We typically take my son to a children's salon in Thousand Oaks but they are always booked out several weeks and we are leaving for vacation this weekend so I checked with bubble cuts and they had an appointment available the next day. My son is 2 and doesn't enjoy getting his hair cut as most toddlers usually don't. Karen was so patient with him and took less than 10 minutes to cut his hair and it looks great. My wife and I finally decided that it was time for our daughter to get a hair cut after 3 years. Sad moment for me. I was hoping she would go at least 5 years before a hair cut, but it's all good. The place idiot ally set up for kids to be happy and stay calm. The seat being a car shape is awesome. They have a tv that they play cartoons on for kids while they are getting a hair cut. The hair stylist is really good with kids and is very sweet. They also have a little play area for kids who have to wait to keep them occupied. The set up is great! What i got was a rainbow shape over his ears Bc she cut wayyyyyyy too high. Very very disappointing and sad. Claiming she has years of experience, but doesn't know how to fade or how high to cut. I went here for a first hair cut on our three year old and it was an awful experience... they don't listen to the cut you're asking for. I was even armed with two example pictures and she couldn't make it happen. I kept trying to coach her when I saw it was going wrong, but there was no saving this haircut. I had to take to Fantastic Sams to correct. But as a result my daughter is now with a pixie cut cropped short to her head... I don't recommend this place. The stylists seem to know one style from what I saw with my children and the two customers that were also there...and they don't communicate well with the English barrier. I'm so bummed.... you can mess up my son or daughters 10th haircut, but not their first :( read more

Bubble Cuts deserved a five star review from us months ago. Our squirmy, almost three year old daughter has had several great cuts here so far. Her hair is extremely thick and curly, and sitting still is not a great strength of hers. I've been pleased each time. I brought our son (11 months; wispy fine baby hair) today for his first cut, and it couldn't have gone better. The kind, gentle lady did all his trimming and was even able to use the clipper to get the edges all smooth and even. We were in and out- lollipop and balloon in hand- in well under a half an hour. I had a little sticker shock initially ($20), but when you think of the high rent in Montrose and the convenience of being able to park so easily (to say nothing of the clean, welcoming facility itself), I'd call it fair. We would have paid way more than that out on the Westside. It looks like most other reviewers have had positive experiences here, too...I have to wonder if some of the 1 star reviews are from folks who have trouble managing expectations. Cutting kids' hair is literally working with a moving target, and I think a reasonable amount of latitude should be given. Incidentally, we're not Armenian and have received wonderful service. read more

Called for an appt for my child for the afternoon so I didn't have to wait but when I arrived.. of course I waited. It was not busy but the ladies In there were just talking to each other and on the phone taking photos of their previous customers while I was waiting patiently(15 mins later) because I did not want to be rude but I did mention to them that I had an appt.. so she stopped and told me she just needed a break and she looked annoyed. Unacceptable customer service. The sales person was not able to take our name down and tell us when to come back because they have computer issues. They were more interested in asking us to just call back in two hours to see what they can do. My kids loves this place and was very disappointed... We found another kid friendly place. Not going back here ever again. It is not rocket science to simply write down a name so I can be placed into a queue to get my turn. Walked in first thing Monday morning and Greta greeted us with a friendly smile. My son went from looking like one of the Beatles, during their long-haired phase, to a normal three-year-old with a comfortable haircut for summer. She did an amazing job through all of his fidgeting. He at a critical time she was using the razor, and she still managed to fix what would have been an uneven mark. I waited a month to let the whole experience settle and most notably, my sons first haircut. The set up is perfect for kids yet the quality of cut does not even get a one. Customer Satisfaction: in more than one instance I communicated that my sons cut was not consistent in length and that the cut had no style whatsoever. I believe the name of the stylist is Stephanie who said, "that's the best I can do." She then walked to the cashier to bill me. Now my sons cut is growing and looking way worse than before the cut. This is horrible as one would like the best cut for a child's first cut. Systems and Coordination: My goodness!! The haircut lasted ten minutes and the wait to get my picture, frame and lock of hair passed an hour. First the receptionist appeared overwhelmed and lost. The owner was anxious and attempting to multi task. They took a picture and had to retake the shots three times. They cut out arms, the image was blurry or they did not shoot an image to fit into the template. Now, I'm going to make sure that the stylist is qualified and responsive to my requests. A cut needs to be styled versus moving over with a pair of scissors which is what we got at Bubble Cuts. Pluses!!! - my son loved the chairs and toys read more

Well this was my grandsons first time coming here. Yesterday my husband and I discovered this place while visiting this cute little town of Montrose. We walked pass Bubble Cuts and notice the kid friendly look. So we decided to bring our grandson in for a haircut he's only 16 months old and has had his hair cut twice before and each time he cried bloody murder the place was not kid friendly. Here at Bubble Cuts we got not only great service but Violet his barber was the best. My grandson was so distracted with bubbles, the ride on the police car seat with moving steering wheel & the big screen TV showing Mickey Mouse. That he didn't realize he was having his hair cut.
