A clean boy is a happy boy!
Tanya M.

No one will take better care of your doggy! They are experts at grooming. My four- legged son gets a partial but always comes out extremely clean. I couldn't have found more perfect place!

Happy pups!
Donna S.

Both my pups come here. They are a new business that opened up two blocks away. It's fun to see their Facebook posts and recognize the neighborhood doggies. While it is a small space it is clean and welcoming. Prices are reasonable as well.

Great job making our German Shepherd take his bath! Our rescue 11 month old is not with his quirky traits. He was not trained properly as a pup and has issues. I called the day before his grooming and asked for a time when no other dogs were around because this dog barks like crazy at other dogs(an issue we are working on). He apparently doesn't like being showered either but with a lot of patience and kind determination the GSD now looks great. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly!

My 10-month-old dog was groomed here on May 30 from approximately 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. She walked…read moreinto her appointment without any issues and left unable to put weight on one of her legs. What makes this situation even more concerning is that I was told staff noticed an issue with her leg before they even gave her a bath. However, no one contacted me before proceeding with the grooming service. Later, it was suggested that I failed to mention an injury at drop-off. The problem with that claim is simple: there was no injury to report. My dog was not limping, favoring a leg, or refusing to bear weight when I brought her in. If staff genuinely believed she arrived injured, why continue handling her and complete the grooming appointment without first notifying me? There was also initial confusion when the issue was discussed because I thought they were referring to a minor foot pad scrape she occasionally gets from chasing squirrels. Once we clarified that was not what they meant, I clearly stated that she did not arrive with a leg injury. I was further told that the injury may have been related to how she was handled during grooming and that footage would be reviewed because she did not walk into the facility with this injury, yet she left with one. It is now Sunday, and my dog is still refusing to bear weight on her leg. This was her first grooming appointment, and she is only 10 months old. I am heartbroken, furious, and extremely disappointed with both the injury itself and the way this situation has been handled. A healthy puppy was entrusted to their care. An injured puppy was returned to me.

100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. Although lady at front desk was very nice & professional AT FIRST. I brought…read moremy dog in for an appointment around 11 AM & was told it might take a few hours to groom as he had some matting in which as a pet owner I will admit he did which I completely understand it takes time. I called around 1:40 pm, as they do close at 3 pm to see the status of my pup & was told "they were barely starting on him right now." I get a call at exactly 2:55 pm stating "they were able to bath him & dry him but he was being extremely aggressive & not allowing them to trim his hair or do anything else." MIND YOU, my dog has went to the groomers plenty of times, specially PETSMART, in which they have always done an amazing job with grooming & handling our pup. At that they have always said he was very well behaved & didn't give a hard time. My dog has never bitten a soul nor been aggressive & those who KNOW this breed will also agree. I was already waiting outside for my pup & so I go in, I was baffled by what I seen. The women brings my dog & first thing I notice is a burn mark on his nose & patches in his fur. As she passes my dog she proceeds to tell me that his nose looked that way because they had to put a muzzle due to him being aggressive & he was trying to bite & scratch it off. Then he had marks by his eyes, that was apparently from him "banging his head into the wall as they were trying to dry him." As I'm looking at the fur, I noticed patches as if they were being careless with pulling his hair as matts were hanging off in certain places. The lady proceeds to ask if my dog has ever been to a groomer. REALISTICALLY speaking if you are familiar with poodles, you would know if he has not been to see a groomer in his four years of living, he would look 10 times worse than the picture I am going to leave below. I am extremely angry with the staff & awareness of this facility. One more thing that was noticed as I was dropping my pup off, the other dogs that were in cages seemed extremely upset & afraid as they had two other pups there that would not stop barking or ACTUALLY being aggressive. This is no way to treat a fur baby AT ALL. SO DISGUSTED & DISAPPOINTED. By the way, I was still charged $60 for just a bath & SEMI dry ( no teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, ect. were done) This is a SHAME!

I've been going to this vet for years, first with a dog that I had for 15 years, and more recently…read morewith a new puppy. I speak from the heart when I tell you that there are no words that can fully describe the level of commitment, care, and compassion that this vet has shown my pets. My dog who lived to 15 had a series of health issues, and Companion went above and beyond to provide him with great care. I truly believe they prolonged his life. When he passed away, Companion sent me a card signed by every member of the staff, each with a handwritten note. It was an incredibly meaningful and unexpected gesture during a time of intense grief. My take on the bad reviews? Companion is not an emergency room, nor do they claim to be. Despite that fact, there are some reviewers here who seem to assume that Companion is a Wal-Mart of pet services and therefore should be able to do everything. That's just plain ignorance on the part of the reviewer. If your part is having an emergency, there are many resources online to direct you to a nearby emergency room. But for standard veterinary and grooming needs, Companion Oak Park is the best I've found in the Chicago area.
