I definitely recommend this salon. I've taken three different pooches there and they love it. This is a small business, so you have to be intentional about asking how much time is needed. But if you can work with the relaxed setting as some dogs wind up needing a bit more tlc, you will be a very happy customer. read more

Needed a new groomer in the area. Tried L Pooch Salon. Absolutely loved the experience. Will be bringing my 2 yorkies back for sure.

Cut my dog on her stomach and were very rude and condescending. They told me that my dog must have been attacked by another dog somewhere.

The owner will give your dog the haircut she sees fit even after an explanation & photos shown of what was wanted. Not pleased at all! Also, check to see if she really did nail trim because she didn't for us. read more

I AM BEYOND UPSET AT THIS SERVICE. my puppy was scheduled a grooming appointment feb 28th at 1:30pm. The lady wasn't finished till 5:30pm !! 5:30pm are you serious ?, I took her early to get her ready in at least two hours this was very disappointing. When I picked her up they left her cut so horrible. She had a goat tee so so ugly. She's a little lady not a man. Well I called and they said search on google that's how the breed looks.. lady I don't care the dogs are cut its how I want my dog to look, not like other dogs. Also they did not pluck her ears or cut her nails right she's a cockapoo which they her ear infections very easily so I was very mad. Well if that wasn't enough t Sunday morning I seen her scratching and I immediately checked her and guess what I found FLEAS !!!!! Are you serious right now. That was the last straw. I called to complain but they where closed and when I finally reached them they kept saying they will call me back in 10mins we'll hours went by, I called these people 10 times 10 TIMES!!!! I am so so so upset. As a dog mom I try to give my babies the best love and care but they absolutely traumatized my baby and gave her FLEAS. Do not go to this place unless you want to be ignored by ignorant people. read more

Disappointed with the service at L'Pooch. I took my dog there for grooming and when I picked her up I noticed the cut was very uneven. Also, they cut off her whiskers, which was ridiculous! They did not trim her nails even though it was part of the package. When I called to ask why they responded it wasn't needed. However my dog was having trouble walking on my hard wood floors so I knew they needed a trim. They did not give any money back for this. I ended up going to my vet who said they definitely needed to be trimmed and were able to get it done for $20 (after I had already paid LPooch) . I decided to give them a second chance and brought my dog back again for a bath. On the phone they said they could do it for one price but when I arrived with the dog they wanted to charge me a lot more. It was a snowy wet day and it was really inconvenient to bring my dog there only for her to suddenly bait and switch. I will not go back again. The owner is very argumentative with customers. Don't waste your time. read more

My little guy Prince gets a bit nervous about new places, people, and other dog friends so I'd been hesitant to take him to a grooming salon. Since we adopted prince a few months ago I was personally grooming him at home but that has stopped ever since I brought him into L'Pooch Salon. The ladies at L'Pooch Salon were extremely knowledgeable and most importantly, warm and kind to Prince. They handled him gently and spoke to him which seemed to relax him. The whole process took about an hour and a half and he looked amazing! The prices are extremely reasonable for the services that are provided. The salon is very clean and smells great! We highly recommend L'Pooch! Prince will now be a loyal customer! read more

This Doggie Salon does not even deserve a one star rating! BEWARE.. This salon has no clue about customer service.... or the care of animals. This salon shaved my dog without a courtesy call to ask if it was ok. Our dog is a mini schnauzer and he left the salon without the Schauzer cut. He looks more like a hairless rat. They also cut our dog's leg. Our dog was very timid after leaving this salon and couldn't wait to get out of there. We will never take our dog there again, and I do not recommend this salon to anyone. Upon Rocket's departure...he pee'd on the side of the wall!!! Kudos Rocket. Piss on L'Pooch! read more

After trying different groomers, I gave Le Pooch on North Ave a try. I absolutely love this place. Very caring staff that treats my Yorkie like the baby that she is to me. This is by far the cleanest groomer I have ever seen. I have been bringing our little one for years now to Sandy and her service is impeccable. She also has provided little touches from small bows to offering to dye our teacup yorkie's fur (paws and small area between the ears) to commemorate a holiday or event. I booked my appt before I had read a review and I was so scared but thought it's only one review and I'm going to try it. So I just picked up my Ginger and I can honestly say she's never looked or smelled better. The location is convenient, they're reasonably priced, I got in when I wanted and the lady was very helpful answering my questions. I wanted my dog's hair trimmed very short to keep her cool in the summer but she explained it's the undercoat that keeps them hot and not necessarily shaving them. Definitely going back. read more

I went in for the first time a few months ago and I was given some GREAT advice about my dogs diet and how I should change the food I was giving him and the benefits of a all natural diet.. I did everything I was instructed to do and my dog has done a complete 360 his temperament has gotten better he's less hyper his coat is healthy and even his poop doesn't have an odor. We love the whole atmosphere of this salon. We left our little man, Yorkie Rocky, here for his first visit with confidence and total trust. The owners made sure we were all understanding each other on what we expected and I appreciated that they took us on short notice. When the owner said she would call back within 90 minutes to let us know if we could bring Rocky in, it was exactly 90 minutes. Rocky looked so handsome and sported a new collar with tie... so grown up for a little dog. Thanks, girls. Keep up the GREAT work. read more

I heard such good things from this place and took my dog there, which was a big mistake! The place is nice and clean, but don't be fooled cuz they don't do a good job! They didn't cut my dogs hair right some hair was shorter and longer in certain places then other areas. Don't try arguing with them because its a waste of time they are right and we the customers who pay for their services are wrong! I have taken my dog to other places and they have cut it right but this was close to where I live I went there. However, I regret it and wont ever come back! You live and you learn I just hope they learn how to cut dogs hair right. There are other groomers to go to so ill go somewhere else. I Love this place soooo much.. I have been coming here for yrs now. When you 1st walk in you notice how beautiful the place is.. You would think you are going to your own salon. The place is always kept clean and never smells like dogs and rarely do u see any dog hair on the floor. The people that work there are always on top of keeping the place clean and presentable. The people that work there are warm and friendly and the owner Sandy is full of useful information about dogs. She always makes small talk about anything and always ask about how my dog is doing. They are only open wed- sat. and my dog is never there for more then 2 hours. As soon as i drop her off they start on her right away. I would not recommend this groomer. Yes, the shop is clean and the staff is friendly. But they have no idea how to cut a bichon frise, contrary to the assurances I received when I booked. I was stunned/horrified when I picked up my two dogs from our first and only visit. I barely recognized them! Both had had their hair clipped so short that is was only about a half inch long all over - so much for their beautiful fluffy white coats - and instead of a rounded head, the hair had been cut straight across between the tops of their ears, giving them a "flat-top" look. You can even see their pink skin through what little hair they have left. I can't begin to tell you how bad they look. They look nothing like Bichons. They barely even look like my dogs! I guess I should be happy that I won't have to have their hair cut for the rest of the summer, since it will take that long for their coats to grow in again. The next time I do, it definitely won't be here. read more

Not a place for poodles. Very disappointed! Place very clean, smells great when walking in however, Brought in my Toy Poodle only to see how bad of a cut he received. Completely uneven hair cut, genitals not shaved at all, nails not clipped, face not cleaned, ears inside not cleaned. Was told pick up in two hours, we will call you but two and half hours passed and no call received. when I arrived they were still working on him.Will not return!
