Customer service was ok, as soon as we walk in is pretty much self serving, the clerk doesn't acknowledge you, nor asks if you know what to do, I guess if you never been to one of these froyo places you have to ask, but you get a cup chose a soft serve yogurt ice cream , go to the side where they have the toppings put whatever you like in it , once done place it in the scale and pay, they charge your per weight. read more

Remember when each town had at least 5 or 6 fro yo spots? Nowadays, many have closed but I'm glad places like Cool Spot still exist. Love that it's a local shop vs a chain. Staff was friendly and the place was extremely clean. I tried the Brentwood Cherry-it was perfect on a hot day-not too tart but not overly sweet. Topped with graham cracker crumbs-yum! Lots of variety in flavors and topipings as well as a drink menu and fresh made cookies. Can't wait to come back during the hot east county summer. Lots of parking as well! Tried cool spot one night like 30 min before they were going to close. Staff was friendly. I loved all the frozen yogurt options. They definitely have more options than munchies! Since Yogurtland and Rita's closed in Brentwood, I was devastated. Luckily, I spotted this cute little COOL SPOT out of the corner of my eye after eating at Misaka (a delicious sushi restaurant--another must-try). I got their pineapple and strawberry froyo with sprinkles and cotton candy Nerds-look-alike candy. It was delicious and satisfying! They have a lot of topping options and different kinds of snacks you can get there, like cookies, churros, pet-friendly frozen treats, coffee, etc. The staff are super friendly, and it seems like they have a lot of regulars. Today around 3pm my girls patronized Cool Spot a self serve yogurt bar on Balfour and American Ave near Heritage High School. They each made their yogurt cups, then paid as the signs posted instructed them to do. They sat down in Cool Spot and ate their yogurt. Once done they wanted a little more so they took their cups that they already paid for and began to refill it a little. They then proceeded to the register and asked "Do they have to pay for a refill and if so how much?" The young lady behind the counter then told them they don't offer refills or a refill rate and they would have to pay full price as if it were a new one. By that time the guy posted in the picture got in their faces, started yelling at them telling them they know it's no refills, took a picture of one of my girls and then threatened them with a good time by saying he was calling the police. So they then told her never mind if they were being charged full price and gave them the yogurt, while he snatched the yogurt out of the others hand. He told them they were "basically " stealing for following the posted instructions, trying to pay, them declining the item. Told them to don't come back, went outside and started showing the other kids outside her picture asking who she was because he was putting her on his wall. So me being a concerned parent I politely went in and asked the young ladies behind the counter if the guy was there who my girls had just spoke with. He got up on defense saying that's me. So I proceeded to ask him what was going on and explain what my girls had told me. He immediately became loud and argumentative telling me they stole they didn't pay for anything, they were lying, they know it's not no refills and I told him they didn't know otherwise they wouldn't have never asked and tried to pay for a refill. He began to go back and forth with me and when I tried to tell him I didn't come in there for an argument, but as a woman whose trying to have an adult conversation he began mocking me with statements like "oh a woman" "yea okay" "well you can leave because they're not welcome here anymore and I'm done talking" and so on and so forth. I told him I didn't come there to do what he was doing but to come to an understanding about how to treat people kids and to teach them what they don't know. Instead of trying to threaten these 2 black girls with the police as if they were supposed to be afraid. So much more was said on his behalf. I find it hard to believe this man is still in business serving the kids who are his biggest customers yet he treat them so foul. His actions today clearly shows he acts like this on a regular, and it won't be the last. So I encourage you all to talk to your kids and make sure this man hasn't disrespected them or someone they know as well. Cool Spot will never have my girls business ever again. It has just gotten so expensive since the pandemic, and every time I go in there the prices seem to have gotten higher. This week I went with my grandaughter, we had 1/2 full cups and went really easy on the toppings, and it cost $13.45. I came here today and forgot to take a pic but omg I had the best frozen yogurt in my lifeeeee and I used to live in Austin, TX where there was a million different frozen yogurt places. Yay! We got to try cool spot today! And it's a cool spot for sure! We got hot cocoa with marshmallow and whipped cream. Yummm! The white mocha was great too! Their frozen yogurt were amazing. I love this place! It's right next to the school i go to and I always come here after school, it's the perfect place to come when you need a sweet treat! They recently added nachos and they are great! The owner is very nice and always making me and all my friends laugh. The Ice Cream is the best they always switch up the flavours so it's never the same. Right off the bat, this place was very clean and the staff was friendly. We ordered a Caramel Macchiato and an Irish Cream Cold Brew. The caramel macchiato was less sweet than we remembered last time, but still good. The irish cream cold brew is an acquired taste, not for me. Their coffee menu had pretty good deals. After seeing the dessert stand, we knew we had to try something! The whole display just looked so delicious. The desserts aren't made in house, they're catered by a company and there's a sign saying that. We got the Purple Hennessy Vanilla Cupcake, Salted Caramel Cupcake, and Caramel Churro Cheesecake. Both cupcakes were very dry, and the frosting on the caramel one was overwhelmingly sweet. Neither of them were anything to rave about, we couldn't finish them because they were gross. The caramel churro cheesecake was really good though! Recommend sharing with someone else since it's so rich and heavy. Something you need to take a break from while eating. read more

There fro-yo is amazingly good. Very creamy. What really had me going to this place was the stuffed pretzels! We order two stuffed cheddar pretzels. We waited about 7 mins for them to make it which it wasn't so bad because we were busy eatting our froyo. The pretzels were okay. I really enjoy this yogurt place. I've been taking my girls and mother here frequently this summer. Workers have always been so nice and they have really good flavors! I wish I could give 5 stars but unfortunately the owner gives me an uneasy feeling. I would not doubt the review from Lian S. Based off a personal experience. My mom had accidentally got a yogurt that she didn't want and had asked if she could take it off somehow. Staff said yes but then the owner/manager quickly intervened and seemed agitated that an oz of yogurt was being wasted and he lost money from her asking that. He just seems very hyper focused on the yogurt machines and how people are serving themselves. I wouldn't doubt that he lost his $h!t like other reviews basically stated. I just get disappointed when I walk in and he's there. The "C00LSpot" isn't "c00l" when he's working LOL . Overall everything is great. I do have a suggestion though, post signs to remind customers to ask for samples because no one is going to think to ask. That's probably why you're having an issue with wasting product. Out of sight out of mind . And since the owner likes to be controlling and freak out over the yogurt he can serve the samples himself and feel better about the world. read more
