Charcuterie is a must, but their smoked Salmon box might be my favorite. Charcuterie is full of top grade imported cured meats and cheeses. If anything, you have to get their goat cheese truffles. Me and my family fight over these whenever we get them. In shop, they also have a wide variety of wines. I would always recommend calling to see what they have in stock. The servers and owners are very informative and can explain all points of purposes of food, pairings, and how to enjoy each component. Very welcoming into their establishment and make you feel at home. I have yet to take a one of the classes because most of the time I can't get a group together, but also because they are always sold out. It's a hot commodity in high demand! read more

Super cute boutique cafe! I walked in on a whim on a Friday afternoon, it was not busy, and the young lady working that dat was very sweet and helpful. She introduced the cheeses in the chilled display, and I decided to try the brie with black truffle. I was apprehensive when i saw the price tag ($17!), she very kindly offered to cut a smaller wedge for me. Then i saw a stilton with mango and ginger and just HAD to try it (it's soooo good on its own I ate half at one go!!) Didn't ask what the tables and mismatched-but-somehow-coordinating chairs were for, (possibly workshops or tasting parties?) but they look super inviting and cosy. I can't stop thinking abt the stilton so i might go back for more soon. read more

This review is strictly for their take out charcuterie board. Someone brought this to a dinner party we were at and we were given it to take home. The selection is beautiful (see pics) and few different cheeses, meats and fruits to choose from. It also came with a cute little jar of honey. I have to say that this place is so great! The online ordering system is so fast and so easy. Paid through PayPal and scheduled our pick-up about a month in advance. I wrote some comments on my online order in that I understand the store closes at a certain time, but if there was any way I could pick-up at a later time and the owner made that happen! I picked it up at 430p, thank you soooo much for accommodating that. I pulled up to the back, and they brought all my items out to me. Coming and going was a breeze. As for the food, we ordered a Grande 2.0, smoked salmon box and 2 dozen strawberries. We had 10 ladies in our party and we definitely couldn't finish it all! I think my most favorite part was that everything was so fresh and presentable. The crostini/bread that came with that salmon box is sooooo yummy, I can't stop thinking about it! I can't speak to the ambiance of the inside of their store, but we will definitely look into those private classes/parties that I read somewhere! read more

We had such a unique and fun evening at one of the charcuterie board classes. It was $85 per person, a little bit of a splurge but overall worth the quality cheese, meats and fruits you get along with the curated experience and expertise. Most importantly, that includes snacks and sparkling wine to enjoy while you build your board. Each guest got a charcuterie cup and there was also a larger shared board with an assortment of cheeses and meats to graze on. Our teacher and the shop owner, Cheryl, is so passionate about her craft. She walked us through making our board and introduced us to each ingredient as we plated it. She explained some concepts to keep in mind while we designed our boards and her husband, the Chef of the restaurant, walked around to give us some pointers as we went. We went in kind of blind, knowing very little about cheese and charcuterie, but everyone was so unpretentious and friendly! We were all there to have a fun night and eat good food. This was a great way to get to know some cheese and charcuterie basics and I know I'll be back to buy ingredients, or pick up a board for a gift. read more

Throw in a handful of Marconi almonds and a bit of pomegranate seeds, some honey with a dipper, a few flowers and voila a beautiful box of charcuterie. A bag or artisan crackers were also included. I did like that there was a platter included so it could be removed from the box. This was a gift from my son and DIL along with a box of chocolate covered giant strawberries with was gobbled down before I could snap a picture. A cross between a deli and a boutique, this charming and beautifully decorated "cheese boutique" makes you feel like you're in Napa or maybe somewhere in Europe, not Kaimuki! Stocked with an interesting variety of cheeses, olives, and other related foods to accompany wine, it specializes in charcuterie boxes. My 94 year old father decided to order 2 of them for Easter after reading about it in the newspaper. At first my mom was upset because he spent a pretty penny without telling her about it, but after we picked up the beautiful AND delicious food arrangements we were all delighted that he did! We had one box with a variety of delicious meats and cheeses, salami rosettes, Marcona almonds, and fig jam, decorated with gorgeous fruit including kiwi, strawberries, pomegranate seeds, grapes and probably the best blueberries I've ever eaten! They were so dark they were almost black! It came with an assortment of crackers. Our other box consisted of smoked salmon with diced onions, capers, lemon slices, tomatoes and cream cheese accompanied by toastettes. But it was the fresh dill took it to another level! The quality of ingredients was excellent as was the presentation! I LOVED the extra special touches of the fresh flowers and rosemary sprigs and little cards with uplifting messages like "I hope you feel beautiful today" and "Be such a beautiful soul that people crave your vibes!" Many people create their own boards these days, but if you don't have the time or inclination, but do have the means, leave it to these experts! Full disclosure, I did NOT purchase the charchuterie board this review is based on. It was a gift from a friend who, ahem, helped me eat it while drinking MY wine. THE IG worthy charchuterie set (and what got me following them since they started their pandemic age business). First, the business is about to open Hawaii's first fromageries with what promises to be a selection of very well curated artisan cheeses. That said, the selections on the platter are quality. In one of the hard cheeses, salt crystals, a telltale sign of proper long aging. Charchuterie is selected for the masses (a simple salami and prosciutto vs culatello, finocchiona, duck or wild boar prosciutto), it is properly sliced and artfully arranged. The addition of nuts and fresh fruits (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, pomegranate seeds) selected for their looks rather than flavor or seasonality completes the board. Personal preference but dried fruits, ie Turkish apricots or dried Mission figs, pack more concentrated flavor and sugar and would pair better. Follow on IG to purchase. Other "goodies" like a cold smoked salmon box, bresaola box, even chocolate dipped strawberries available. 48 hour lead time required. Pics? Sorry, sometimes living life is more important. In this case diving right in with fingers while pulling the corks on a couple, several, fine bottles of wine. Eye catching. Great for gifting. Agreeable eats. I'm so glad I was able to finally try the coconut balls everyone raves about at my soirée a few weeks ago. The correct name is Island Goat Cheese Truffles. They are delicious!! I am pleased they sell it separate from the pre-made boards. I thought I wasn't able to try them until I bought a platter. When I picked them up I didn't realize they also sell various meats like prosciutto and Molinari's Salami & much more! So glad to know they have Molinari's cured meats. I remember going to Molinari's on the weekends we when you Little Italy in San Francisco. I'm definitely going to order some cold cuts there to make sandwiches. They cuts are by the pound. Kaimuki's newest addition! I'm so glad they opened up, there are such a big variety of things in here!!! So many choices it can be a bit overwhelming. Fred was very personable and you can tell he really loves what he does. All the employees were very attentive and checking up on us even tho they were super busy prepping all of the Christmas charcuterie board sets the people have ordered. In addition to all the cheese and meats you could ask for they have really cute bags and utensils all cheese and wine themed. They have a couple big tables and chairs set up as well as seating along the window and some chairs outside. They will cut the meats into slices for you when you order them. I ended up getting a minimum box for my mom's Christmas present and it came out so cute looking! In addition to the fruits and meats and cheeses they gave a bunch of crackers and this cute tube of honey to drizzle on top. I can't wait to come back and get more. read more

My friends and I really wanted to get a nice charcuterie board for a picnic we were having for a birthday and stumbled upon Bubbly & Bleu while doing some research on instagram. We were impressed with their colorful and aesthetic pictures, so we decided to give them a shot and were not dissapointed. We ordered the mezzo box, which their website says serves about 4-8 people. We were blown away by the presentation; the box is so pretty you almost don't want to mess it up by eating the food! The variety of items in the box is plentiful as well. There were so many different types of cheeses, meats, crackers, fruits, and nuts - I got something different with almost every bite. Although I love charcuterie boards, I'm always worried that it won't be enough food for a meal. There were 6 of us and, true to the serving size listed on the website, the mezzo box was more than enough for us. We were full by the end and still had some left over. Although their store in Kaimuki wasn't open at the time, we were able to place an order online and pick it up at the store easily. There is also a delivery option. I highly recommend Bubbly & Bleu if you want something fancy (but still fulfilling) for a special occasion, or if you're just craving a treat. They even can put the arrangement on a personalized wooden board (name engraved) or just a plain board or just in a box. Everything looks so well placed and made with care. Bubbly & Bleu catered an event I attended with a cute box lunch for attendees. The box lunch had a cute focacia sandwich with charcuterie and lovely cheese and pesto and some sort of tomato spread. It was cutely wrapped with a paper and string. Also in the box was a pasta salad with grape tomatos a couple of strawberries, and a tasty little dessert cup with some crunch and fruit on a creamy panna cotta. The box lunches were a lovely addition to the event and you could tell that great care was taken to make it look as good as it tasted. read more

Had a great experience here for a private event of doing the Italian option of charcuterie making. It was so much fun and recommend this 100% for small group parties. They also do private dining. You can BYOB with no corkage fee, sample some of their beverages that complement the charcuterie tasting and overall enjoy a fun night with good friends and good hosts. It's a husband and wife duo who have a relatable partnership that is very charming and endearing. Chef Fred is very charismatic, positive, and fun loving. His good friendly vibes, witty nature create an enjoyable atmosphere. All my life I grew up on these small kids snacks we all know as lunchables. We go back to a time where we think like damn.. cheese and crackers.. simple.. but yet something we all eat from time to time. Here at Bubbly & Bleu you're not going to find anything from a simple ritz cracker and canned cheese. They take this to a whole new level and beyond and I can't be more than delighted to write a review about this wonderful place. I was lucky enough to be a part of the Yelp elite event that was held before thanksgiving. Pretty much showcasing a small part of what they do here at Bubbly & Bleu. (Now I do have a add a little notice saying that yes I built my own board, BUT it wouldn't haven't been possible without the two most wonderful owners you'll ever meet). That being said, if I can do it with their amazing help you can almost expect your own board from the MASTERS to look a million times better than mine! Everything from the cheese, fruits, meats, etc. the owners have the greatest knowledge of them all; Picking up local ingredients from local farms and markets (Yes gotta love when they support local!!). The meats and cheeses were amazing. It was my first time actually trying a fig compote with cheese. Let's just say i'm still dreaming about it. I'll definitely be back in the near future, possibly in time for Christmas because my family has yet to try any type of charcuterie. We consider Kaimuki to be so blessed with the opening of Bubbly & Bleu! Chef Fred and Artistic wife, Cheryl are an amazing and hardworking couple. Our family have know them from restaurant and publication days so when they decided to share their talent and gifts in our warm Kaimuki community I was sooo thrilled. Before they opened their shop earlier this year, my friend, Jenny suggested Bubbly and Bleu so I picked up one of the most Gorgeous and Savory charcuterie (and largest) platter for our friend's 50th birthday (sorry, no pics this time). It fed so many people and the rave was endless. You can say it was the "star" of the entire table because everyone was taking pictures and couldn't wait to dig into it. Because of our family experience and history and many years in farming and in the food industry, we can affirm their quality of meats, cheeses and "extras"!!! It's packed with so much love and care that you can feel their heart poured into it. We love to discover all the hidden treasures. The ambiance of their quaint shop is somewhere we want our family and friends to gather- maybe for a quiet board for two or another one of our celebratory moments. Our youngest son just turned 16 yo and loves charcuterie boards so this will be his gift from us (during the Christmas season). He was born a week prior. We were blessed again when I had my sister order another huge platter of AMAZING for her workplace Christmas Party. This time we reunited with Cheryl and Fred for a brief moment. Fred was so kind to walk me to our car carrying the gigantic and beautiful platter even when they had piles of orders to fulfill. What dedication to their clients!! It's the reason our family remains loyal and supportive to their endeavors. Wait till we book Reen and Bob's birthdays there. Although Bubbly & Bleu's appearance is rather blue, I can't help but feel overjoyed and filled with so much excitement every time I step foot inside their shop... or should I say home because that's EXACTLY what it feels like here, home. First and foremost the service here is like walking into your family's home... warm, welcoming, and bubbly! Both Fred, Cheryl and the entire staff here are always so kind and inviting. Second, the incredible amount of deliciousness here can be overwhelming but if you've got the time to browse through... DO IT! Their inventory is extensive but there's seriously so much to discover (and try)--from tea towels and dishcloths to jams, spreads, and oils, you name it! While they have so many products that make great for gifting, one of my favorite things about this biz is that they also sell goodies that are both delicious as they are (sometimes) too pretty to eat. Do you want to make a splash at your next bougie family gathering? Got a work party that you just want to flex at? Did you spend two days trying to make your own resin charcuterie board and now need actual meats and cheeses for it? Game night? Whatever the occasion, I can't recommend a charcuterie box from Bubbly and Bleu enough. Every gathering we've brought them to, the boxes are decimated leaving a lonely marcona almond or tiny jar of honey left over. I always order a side of goat cheese balls, all handmade and full of flavor!
