Nothing too exciting going on here. The cases seemed half bare (at noon) so not a whole lot of selection. I had a breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was great but there was barely anything in it. One spinach leaf, one thin slice of tomato, ditto for the cheese that had disappeared into the bread by then and a thin slice of egg. The server was snippy. They've got way too much competition in the area for me to ever want to go back.

    Me post Bubby happiness!

Happiness - that's what I feel every time I eat the spicy + salty chocolate cookies they have. Joy - what I feel when when I am greeted by their wonderful staff as soon as I'm ready to walk through the doors and order. Next time - the first thing I think when I leave those doors! When will it be next time?

Just a fantastic bakery and small cafe. We headed over for brunch and tastes of many items. Some of these items included: carrot cake, butter tarts, quinoa cake, pizza, frittata, breakfast sandwiches and Mac and cheese. Good coffee and tea. Everything is made on site and a lot of gluten free and vegan options. The seating can be limited when it's busy, but for nice days there's a good amount of seating outside as well. We were a party of 5, and slipped easily into their one table for 6. We'll be back for sure!

    Plenty of goodness here

I recently returned to Bubby Rose's for breakfast. In my previous review I mentioned that the croissants were among the best in Victoria, just a little heavy for my taste, they've improved since then, a little lighter and a little flakier. I can also recommend the mini cinnamon buns (just sticky enough to be good without being too diificult to eat), the maccha green tea cookies (nice white chocolate chips), and the cappuccinos (they use Discovery Coffee). I also saw great looking french toast (big slices of challah bread) but wasn't hungry enough to try it, maybe next time, and there will be a next time.

I am taking an after shot of your meal(s).

The location is unimpressive, but the really good food more than makes up for it. Worth the trip.

Had soup and quinoa salad for lunch - yummy and fresh. But the real hit was the Beelzebubby cookie. I TRIED not to eat it all at once!

This is right outside the Public Market and has plenty of street parking on and around the block. From the get go, amazing ambiance - bright, colorful infused with wooden interiors makes you take notice. A very innovative menu makes it hard to not try more than you planned on. Service is fast and the staff is friendly. We had the below items and can't wait to be back to try more on their menu. It seems they do refresh their menu quite a bit and the current menu is definitely bomb! 1. Hong Kong style Pork Sandwich - 12/10, amazing favors, very nicely done! 2. Savory Poptart - 10/10, light, flake, buttery, melt in the mouth 3. Mandarin Day Dream from their Signature Drinks - Drink of my dreams. I will dream of it until I can have it again and I hope they do not drop it from the menu until then. Such a innovative and well balanced drink - 20/10, must try!! We need you here in the U.S. Whoever is dishing out these creative menu items (signature drinks & the sandwiches) needs a raise!

I came here cuz I wanted to try something different today than Starbucks. The place is cozy. Plenty of tables on the sidewalk. Plenty of tables inside as well. I didn't think it was going to be conducive to someone reading or working but once you enter there's plenty of seats and table just for that to your left. Seats are comfortable enough that you can focus but not fall asleep. There's plenty of people working. There's a long line when I came in. They serve sandwiches, patties, some pastries. Pastries are mostly vegan or veggie, of that variety. I wish they had more choices of pastries as I was craving one. I ended up just ordering coffee. Im not sure how fresh those wrapped pastries are. Coffee is just about right, medium roast. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. Tried the Moka Ball which is basically peanut butter in a ball. It's hard and bit cold. Am not sure if it's supposed to be that way. It's ok. Wanted to get a sugar boost as I am feeling a little sluggish. Ambient music is also just right. Not blasting as some of the Starbucks stores do. You dont know if you're in a club or coffeeshop. This place has potential if they just have more fresh choices. A little friendliness from the staff would make wonders and convey warmth. Hope to comeback and try something different.
