Great Italian food. Nothing fancy, but it's a great casual and family-friendly place. I highly recommend the diavolo pasta, either of the "hold the carb" chicken dishes, and the artichoke dip. I ordered the campfire grill pizza on the recommendation of someone I now know to be a maniac. It was the worst pizza I have ever eaten, and I was eating pizza in China before they even had a conception of what pizza was there. Hot dog pieces with sweet onions (sugary sweet, not sweet Vidalias)? It was an abomination that should never have seen the light of day. My wife and I were impressed by the extensive gluten-free menu. We shared the gluten-free artichoke spinach dip. It was very tasty. My wife's meal came with a house salad which was easily large enough to split between the two of us. She had a low-carb chicken dish which was also very good. We took half of her meal and half of the pizza home with us.I had the campfire pizza which might be the best pizza I've ever had. Food delivery was as expected. I'd been avoiding Bucceto's for a while now. I used to love it. I ordered it often. But one day it seemed like the pizza quality just...plummeted? I kept getting these disgusting pizzas whose crusts tasted undercooked and dough-y. I couldn't even look at it anymore, let alone think of ordering it. I love buccetos and eat here all the time. I love their salads, their "Baked Roman Holiday"(under hold the carbs option), and especially their pizza. They have a new flavor called "bama jam". it's caramelized onions, Gorgonzola cheese, and pecans, (no marinara sauce is on it). It's perfect and I crave it all the time. the bama jam is so godly that if i met someone who hadn't tasted it I would immediately take them to try it out because it's just that important...you are missing out if you haven't tried it! read more

I visited the Buecceto's Smiling Teeth on 3rd and College Mall the other night and i must say, the pizza was the best I've ever had. I ordered the Razorback pizza and my friend got linguini with alfredo sauce dinner. We each got a salad and some garlic bread too. The pizza was perfect, the cheese was melty but not greasy, the bacon/pepperoni/sausage was all delicious and perfectly positioned on the pizza. My friends alfredo (i stole some) was great too. The noodles were cooked through and the sauce was thick and creamy. All the food was piping hot when we got it which is something you see rarely when the dining room is full. The whole bill was on the short side of twenty dollars, which is a good price for the food. The pasta dinners are all around ten bucks but they come with a salad and bread so it all evens out. If your bringing a big party i would shy away from here (large pizzas are pretty expensive). The waitress that served us answered all our questions and was very pleasant. We got there at around eight so it was busy but our waitress was neither absent or overly annoying. All in all the atmosphere of the restaurant was alright. The dining room seemed a little small and cramped and when its packed full it gets a little noisy. Still not completely sold on the weird/trippy artwork and have no idea what "smiling teeth" has to do with the restaurant but i would definitely recommend this place. read more

Buccetos is great. The food is excellent and there is a great variety..... Something for everyone at your table. I would recommend the basil pesto or the vodka sauce with spinach ravioli. I love that the pasta dinners come with a nice fresh garden salad and three pieces of garlic bread. I'm a sucker for pasta but the pizza is nothing to scoff at that's for sure. The twice baked pizza, which is exactly what it sounds like.... A twice baked potato is awesome. I've also always found the waitstaff there to be incredibly helpful and friendly. This always adds to my experience at Bucceto's. If you're looking for affordable and tasty Italian food then this is the place for you. read more

Stick to the pizza, calzones, and the salads. We have tried a lot of the dinner dishes here, and honestly, the value tapers off a bit as you go up the price scale. We do like the easy and quick daily lunch specials (if we're in the area) and it's nice to have a different type of pizza each time. But the calzones are our favorites. No idea what people enjoy about this place. The ambiance is strictly strip-mall, the silverware is light weight, yet prices are high. We had a very surly server; he obviously had no interest in working. The kids meals were microscopic, and the spaghetti sauce was not good. Garlic bread order was greasy, bread insubstantial and poor. Overall a very expensive, sub-par joint. Have you ever felt like you wanted thin sauced pasta and also had the desire to empty your entire insides the following morning?? If the answer is yes, then have I got the place for you! My girlfriend and I both had a pasta dish there. It was very slow when we arrived, empty in fact. I would say the employees were not too engaged, but with it being an empty restaurant, I could understand why. One more group came in while we were eating. I've been eating at this Bucceto's for years and have always been pleased with the food. The ambiance was always lacking, but in Bucceto's case that could be overlooked. Not any more. Our favorite Campfire pizza had been shortchanged on ingredients and was tasteless. The salads were not the ones we ordered, but were unlike those we had enjoyed before, again because of inadequate ingredients. Today I went here with a few friends. Even though there weren't many people at the restaurant the server seemed a little rushed. After bringing out our drinks she came out with some bread. It tasted good, but wasn't anything special. The first part of my meal was a Caesar salad. It was bigger then I expected, but the taste wasn't out of this world. I ordered the chicken fettuccini alfredo, but instead was given plain fettuccini alfredo. I didn't realize it until after leaving the restaurant otherwise I would have said something. Before leaving I was still a little hungry (probably because I didn't eat any chicken...) so I ordered some bread. I was surprised to see I was charged for it when the initial bread was complimentary. Overall I'd rate this place as a middle of the road restaurant. It's nothing special, and a little over priced, but will get the job done when you want an alternative to Olive Garden. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place might have given me the worst Italian food known to man and did nothing to fix it. I ordered the chicken piccata pasta, a meatball sub and a four cheese calzone and oh it was horrific. The pasta was severely undercooked and crunched as I chewed. When I tasted the sauce it was a low quality olive oil that was border line ransid which was not the description on the menu online. When I inquired about the chicken tasting gamey/ possibly raw, the manager confidently assured me to not worry because all the chicken used in all the food is precooked. I wonder what else is not freshly made on their menu. Then comes the meatball sub. Bread was burnt, sauce was old, cheese was rubbery and the meatballs tasted like breakfast sausage. Lastly is the calzone. Burnt and under developed. The four cheeses weren't even melted all the way through and was cold. Shoutout to buccetto's for putting together such a scheme that can con $40 out of a college kid just trying to eat some decent food that isn't from his dining hall. Made my week after the manager said she couldn't help me at all. Simply will never come back again and will campaign agaisnt this establishment that claims to produce quality Italian food. read more

Four stars for food, one star for service. Came in on a Tuesday night, a couple of parties in the booths and all tables in the middle set up for a 30 top. Probably needed a dedicated server for this because the service was earnest but awful. We were a party of 3 and three entrees and 2 salads arrived at the same time. Server apologies for this. But two of the entrees were wrong and so were taken away leaving one person with entree and salad, one person with incomplete entree and salad and one person with nothing at all. It took about 10 minutes and then the third persons entree and salad came at the same time. Not OK. I guess it would have been nice to have someone other than an overwhelmed server like the manager check in about this mess but they were busy with the 30 top. My husband and I went into Bucceto's last night for the first time and boy were we surprised!!!! The food was amazing. I had the Rosemary Cream Chicken pasta dish. Not only was I served a large portion of pasta but also received a large fresh salad and garlic bread. My husband went a different route and got the Meatball Heaven Calzone and I swear it was as big as his head!!! The serving staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgable about the menu and were able to answer any and all questions we had!!! They were also very attentive! I don't think our drinks were more than half empty. If you haven't tried Bucceto's yet then you definitely should. read more

This past weekend I went to Buccetos at 3rd street and Highway 46 across from the college mall with two of my friends. The atmosphere was casual, more of a family friendly, cute little Italian pizzeria. We decided to each order dinner salads with ranch to start out. The ranch is absolutely amazing and makes their salads well worth buying. We also ordered breadsticks with cheese and ranch. The breadsticks were hot right out of the oven and the combination of dipping them in the ranch and cheese made them spectacular. We hadn't even finished eating the salads and breadsticks when the pizza arrived. Service was on point! The pizza we got was a medium sausage and pepperoni. This was definitely my favorite pizza I've tried in Bloomington so far. They put the right amount of cheese on their pizza and the dough is cooked perfectly where it just melts in your mouth. The medium sized pizza was perfect for the three of us, we each got two and a half slices and I didn't feel completely stuffed at the end of it. The price was reasonable, we each paid 10 dollars and we got a lot of food for the money. The rest of the menu had these price ranges too, in my opinion reasonable prices. Overall our waitress was very attentive the entire time, and we got our food in an orderly fashion and the bill right away. I would definitely recommend eating here, it is the best pizza in town, service was great and the atmosphere is perfect for a casual get together with friends. read more
