My 2nd purchase from Tourneau in December to commemorate my promotion and walked into the Roosevelt Field location because my 1st SA from Walt Whitman left the company. Met Alex Diatchenko and he was extremely knowledgeable of the Rolex brand. He was patient and showed us several pieces and I immediately fell in love with the 31mm chocolate dial in white gold and silver. It's gorgeous and I walked oit with it. I very rarely ever leave a review online, good or bad, but need to leave a review for the Tourneau in Roosevelt Field mall. I had my Tissot watch battery changed. This watched has an ana-digital display. When I brought the watch in, the watch was working and both displays were synced. When I picked up the watch that the Analog display read 13:58 and the digital display read 3:39. I told the service person that the displays were not synced. She brought it in the back to the service tech and then came out saying that I don't know how to read military time. I tried to explain That 13:58 is not military time for 3:39. She brought the watch back in and the Tech came out telling me that it was military time. I was able to finally convince the tech that it was a sync issue and he said "do you know how to work this watch?' I said "yes". He then answered with "do it yourself". I told the service person that the displays were synced when I brought the watch in and that it should be delivered the same way. I had to research how to sync the displays from the Tissot website. It turns out not to be that complicated, but that's not the point. For $65 for a watch battery, you would think I'd get the watch back in the same condition. I have purchased 5 Rolex watches from this location, Never again. I went in on Friday night, no air conditioning and a horrible odor. That's the least of it, the sales people wouldn't give us the time of day, When a sales women finally helped us she really couldn't be bothered. One word answers, lousy attitude, argumentative. Take your business elsewhere, Kravit Jewelers in Oceanside has a better selection and a great staff. read more

I've had good experiences here. First, I bought a Citizen dive watch back when they had their "Watch Gear" store (now Rolex). This was 2003. I still bring it in when the battery dies, and they don't give me any problems, though I don't think they've always pressure tested it. Sometimes I get the printout for that, sometimes not. I'm a desk diver anyway so it doesn't matter to me. If you dive, make sure you get your watch pressure tested! I once brought in another Citizen for repair and they sent it out to the company because it has many subdials and lcd screens-not really what their repair dept does. Citizen has all the repair schematics in their computer. I wound up getting it repaired at no charge because the hand just needed popping back onto the stem. Further, there was a holdup with the Tourneau computer so instead of having me wait, the guy told me he would mail me my receipt. I was sure he wouldn't. He did! Lastly, I bought a Hamilton watch from Amazon and brought it to them to inspect, figuring it would be worth a few bucks to have them do this (it was almost 500 bucks-about 100 less than what Tourneau charges for the same model and this is a large amount of money for a watch for me.) I wanted their expert opinion that I didn't get ripped off. They didn't even charge me, but compared it to one of their identical models with the loop and determined that it was probably OK. ***Footnote to this: I did eventually have an issue with moisture getting into the watch and had to pay another $125 for a complete reseal. Since I didn't buy it from an authorized dealer like Tourneau, Hamilton wouldn't cover it (I was aware of this going in.) This was only worth the risk to me because it was a lower end luxury item. I strongly suggest anyone looking at a nicer watch to buy from Tourneau or another authorized dealer!! Anyway, there CAN sometimes be some snooty attitudes here, but in fairness I wanted to chime in with some of the good experiences I've had here. read more

This whole company is a joke. Years ago it was much better. After being a life long customer purchasing watches. Now I can't buy watches that I requested months prior. A couple of weeks ago I got a new Rolex catalogue from tourneau with a letter from kristy the manager there. I called there and asked to see if they have a couple of watches in stock that I am looking for. The salesperson tells me I'm looking for unicorns? I told her I got a catalogue today with them in there. I asked to speak to the manager kristy who sent this to me. She told me she was busy and would call me back the following day. That was about 2 weeks ago. This place sucks now. After buying watches from them for over 20 years it looks like I will take my business elsewhere. Funny how I can't buy a certain watch from them but people on eBay have 5-7 to sell at a mark up. How did those people get those unicorns? read more

The good and the bad, all in the same place, it seems. Such a mixed bag as this store readies its move back to its updated location at Roosevelt Field. This is three of my last four visits to the Tourneau in Roosevelt Field for "service": Couldn't (or wouldn't) fix a crown on a VERY old Omega watch; couldn't figure out how to open a case back on a Tissot, then marred it when they did; and didn't even have someone on-site to change a battery on a Sunday. Not great at all, particularly the Omega song-and-dance (not worth boring you with); frankly, I'm still reticent to bring my watches here for servicing. UPDATE: I have to be fair. I recently purchased a new watch at this same store, and even though they seem a bit harried due to their impending move, I was served by a sales lady named Patricia with pure professionalism. The service department certainly has had its share of problems in serving me, but the buying experience here could not have been better. I just raised my grade two notches, with hopes for better service department dealings in the future. Second update; Actually received a phone call from the store manager here on 7/17, and we talked about my experience with the Omega. It's a nice touch and I appreciated him taking the time to call. We'll see how things go in the future, especially now that they have opened their new store at Roosevelt Field. Overall? Good place to buy a quality watch, but time will tell, to use a pun, about the service department. Third update: Had an Omega watch sized the other day, and the spiffy new service department was stellar. Honestly! Nice to see the new look at this particular Tourneau seems to have brought out the best in the service department as well. read more

This place used to be kind of hit and miss a few years back. I haven't been here in awhile and could not resist the urge to check it out again on a recent visit to the mall - there's just something irresistible about Tourneau! Apparently a majority of people agree, because this place bustles quite a bit. Love the layout, it's roomy and attractive, and it's actually exciting going from showcase to showcase and seeing all the goodies on display. Salespeople are plentiful but not pushy, they let you know they are available and step right up when you want to look at something or you're ready or just want to inquire about something you've seen. I wasn't buying so I kept it brief. An ex of mine used to come here and waste all the salespeople's time. He would try on a dozen watches, take an hour or more finding out what he wanted and then he would go and buy it online from a non-authorized dealer. I thought that was terribly shabby and bad karma, so I dumped his fat ass! He didn't "get" that he was preventing someone from making a living (I believe these people work on commission.) I asked him how would you like it if someone came into your shop and picked your brain for hours and then went to the guy down the street to have his car fixed? He still didn't get it. He's one of THOSE. He had major problem with two of the watches he bought online and after multiple repairs they still didn't work right. He spent a fortune shipping them back & forth. Like I said, karma! Anyway, looks like they have weathered the economic downturn pretty well at Tourneau. I have my eye on a certified pre-owned Breitling. But with no one to buy it for me for Christmas I am gonna have to treat myself! read more

I had a very nice experience at Tourneau. I came in with friends, we're late 20's guys - probably look like the usual window shoppers. We were greeted and assisted by Sadaf. She was very nice, professional and knowledgeable - and certainly NOT pushy. She helped get the exact watch I was looking for into the store for a look (I had to leave deposit, but no pressure to buy). It took about a week from Cali, but the watch is "pre-owned" and looks like it just came from the factory! If they sold it to me as new, I would have believed it aside from the lack of factory protective tapes and such. I wound up buying it, I'm super happy with my purchase and I have a lovely watch contact for the future as well. I also got a nice financing deal. I'll definitely come back when I'm looking for my next piece. Sadaf also goes by Debbie, definitely worth working with. I'd give her my sale again. read more

When my son tried to return the watch, he was advised that the watch was not returnable because he "wore" it because apparently when he bought the watch, the links were removed. I stopped by to glance at the Tourneau selection, which seemed to be quite limited. Unfortunately Tourneau no longer seems to be producing watches of its 2000s style, such as those from the series of Gotham Classic or Safari. It was nice to look into a few Baume & Mercier ones. The sales associate provided me with detailed explanations of a few watches that interested me. He was friendly, highly professional, courteous and even admitted that he is somewhat new within the field--although he seemed to be fully knowledgeable. While I did not make any purchases at this particular location, I realized that at times it would be a good idea to explore what is available and decide at a later point. If you are looking to be embarrassed by your gift this Holiday or for any occasion, do shop at Tourneau in Roosevelt Field Mall, in Garden City... I bought a Michelle on 12/2018. I must say that the watch has been at Tourneau store or at Michelle shop more than it has been at my house. Within 1 month of purchase, we noticed that the watch was not keeping time and would not operate. 02/2019 watch taken to Tourneau for time and date issues - was promised a call back only to be told that manager was not advised that a follow up call was requested. 04/2019 picked up watch - within 2 days, it stopped working. Spoke with Gabriella about the issues and was told that the watch should have stopped working completely, when I can tell that it is not keeping time. Watch was kept at Tourneau to continue monitoring for 3 days. "Was told that "this type of watch is not for everyday wear"-shocking! Watch was then sent to Michelle for repair. Was told that major work was completed and that everything should be fine. Within a week, the time was incorrect again. Now frustrated and embarrassed, I did not want to go back...but with 5 years extended warranty, why should I not? Went by Tourneau on 12/2019 to bring the watch back, again. Brenda, the service manager, advised me that the watch should be sent to Michelle for further check-up. Battery was checked with no issues. Was promised a call... still waiting... read more

I have had nothing but a terrible experience at your Roosevelt Field mall location since last November when I bought a Breitling Super Ocean series. The warranty card was non-functioning, I've been waiting almost a year for the replacement card and of course the watch is now "defective" and I don't have the information Breitling needs. I go in for a cleaning and they tell me my new watch needs replacement gaskets. Everytime I stop by or visit there is a new manager (3 since I bought the watch), the salesperson Whitney is useless, and now I am without my watch for at least 90 days. Less then a year, several thousand dollars, customer service stinks. Your managers don't call me back. What is it going to take for your people to do the right thing? read more

Walked in to this Torneau store today to look at a certified pre-owned Rolex which I saw online and thought of buying, however, I found the same model at Bob's Watches for way less so I decided not to buy the watch from Torneau. I had to make a 20% deposit to hold the watch which is coming from another branch and today they called to say the watch is in the store already. Once there I told the salesperson the situation and she said if it was her she will not buy from a store that is "not reputable. " I appreciate her telling me that but next thing she was telling me " if i were you I will wait until you have the money to buy" and even later she said " you better go to China and buy a fake Rolex". I wanted to laugh hard for in two weeks time I really am going to China and I am not in the market to buy a fake rolex ... My thing is, I feel like she thinks I don't have the money to buy the watch at least that is the feeling they impart..though I don't really care I could have bought a brand new Rolex if I wanted to . The problem is they make you feel like you cannot afford to buy their watches. Well probably because I'm asian..haha, Anyway, a piece of advice, don't judge your customers by "profiling". I have a very good friend, an asian guy, who likes to wear jeans and flip flops. He is a fil-chinese millionaire and loves Rolex. This Tourneau shop is not to be trusted. Verify all products that are on sale. I purchased an omega speedmaster from here on sale because Tourneau had lost their contract with Omega and when I went to purchase the product they swapped what was supposed to be a new Omega speedmaster for one that was identical in design but 4 years old and pre-owned. When I went to verify that this was in fact the case, due to a separate receipt being found later in the box they said that I should never assume anything and that it was my fault. Granted this was stated from the manager who self admitted that she was only there a week so far and had no prior experience in the watch field. Yes buyer beware but, they should not be selling used merchandise under the pretense that a product is new. Since the item was tried on and selected from the set of watches in the new watch cases and not the cases containing preowned watches. Now I do not even know if the omega that I purchased was valued lower than the discounted price of the new one that I was told I had purchased. The omega that I thought was my own, that I took great care of, now has an unknown history. The sales staff was smug and disagreed that I should be upset with this. Use an omega boutique and avoid here at all costs. read more

This review is only on the repair/service staff in the back. I've brought a bunch of watches here to get the bands adjusted and I've also brought a couple watches to get the batteries changed. They charge a reasonable fee and they turnaround is usually quick. The repair guy there is really nice - I was there on a Saturday evening once when it was a little busy and he saw that my cousin and I had been waiting for quite some time so he came out to help us himself and bring out the watches that he just serviced. He was really helpful, answered a bunch of questions that we had and was very generous with his time and attention. I wish I had asked him his name, I would definitely leave him a compliment here but I didn't - I just know he's one of the watch repair apprentices at the shop. He was really nice and thorough. He even tested the watches afterwards and cleaned them. They were chronograph watches and made sure everything was in proper working order. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the wait was a little long when I was both dropping off the watches and picking them up. read more

I purchased a new watch for my wife in the Tourneau store in Garden State Plaza, sine the weather is getting hot and the watch band is tight, we bring the watch to this Tourneau in garden city to adjust the band while shopping in the Roosevelt Field mall, and it turned into a nightmare experience. When we picked up the watch, they scratched the watch on the face on top of the 12 o'clock position. I complained to the sales person but he told me that" This kind of watch is easy to scratch, and watches got scratch any way." This was the most unprofessional attitude I ever seen at a store selling expensive watches. The watch is brand new and my wife only wear a few times, and we are 100% sure there is no scratch. i requested them to fix the scratch and then he start to give me all kind of excuses, starting from " We have a machine to polish it but can't use it now, you need to wait a month and come back to owlish it." then the manager came out and said" It needs to be send out to manufacture and the watch have to be disassemble to polish it." , and she keep denying they scratched the watch and said" We handle all watches with care and we wear gloves to work on them." But when she handed the watch back to me, she was holding it with her left hand which didn't have a glove on and wearing a ring. I am very disappointed with their service. I purchased the watch from them thinking they can provide good service, but turns out their customer service is the worst. A good company can't just focus on the sales, customer service is even more important. The staff at the store gives you the feeling that they are not interested dealing with you as soon as they know you go there for service, even though you purchased a expensive watch. When they scratched your watch, they deny about their mistake and give all kinds of excuses, and the most shocking sentence I ever heard: " Watches got scratch anyway." This store is unprofessional and has the worst customer service, they don't deserve any business at all, stay away from them when you go to Roosevelt Field mall. As an update, I went back to the Rolex section of this Tourneau recently and had a very different and positive experience. Unlike my previous experience, the salesman introduced himself to me, asked me what I was interested in and patiently showed me the various models. He was also very patient with my wife and two kids as she looked for a watch for herself. In the end, we went with a Submariner and Cartier Tank. It was a very pleasant experience. Because my watch needs a special tool to open the case to replace the battery I had to bring it to Tourneau. Usually I would bring it to the local jeweler and they are very reasonable. So 18 months ago I replaced the battery at Tourneau for $20.00. Now I find that 18 months later the battery has to be replaced again. My other watches alway have a much longer battery life. When I brought it back with my receipt from 18 months ago they said the life of a battery lasts up to 18 months in their opinion. Therefore, I had to pay an "increased" rate of $25.00 for a new battery. I felt that was unjust since 18 months is not a long time at all for a battery to go bad. this store is horrible! the selection isn't bad but the customer service is horrid - i visited multiple times and each time it took me hours! they have like one sales person and she isn't any good (pushy and always trying to up sell) and the manager wasn't any better (totally knew i was waiting forever and didn't bother to make things happen faster - or even stop talking to other sales people to help me)! after spending thousands on a watch, you would think you could get better customer service? i mean i waited over 45 min to PICK UP a watch i had already order so really anyone could have handed it to me. then i had to deal with a another person to place an order (for the same watch!) for engraving. she was nice enough but you would think the store could find a way to operate more efficiently - even ringing me up took 45 min! im taking my business elsewhere next time. read more

I made a specific appointment at the Roosevelt Field location with one of their saleswomen to appraise and sell 2 of my vintage watches from the 50s. i informed her i'd be coming from out of town and she assured me the proper individual would be available. I show up 4 days later on a Friday and she tells me there is no one available to appraise the watches. They've managed to turn the watch industry into a used car lot, with idiots running the floor selling overinflated garbage brands which have absolutely no resale value; even Rolex is considered average in the haute horological world. That location should be sold off to Macys. At least they would put it to good use. Don't do business with Tourneau or any other type of chain watch stores, especially if you have refined taste and are looking for the "holy trinity" brands. read more

Do NOT under any circumstance purchase a Rolex from Tourneau at Roosevelt Field!! This is the second Rolex I've bought from them and although the initial purchase was fine, and by that I mean why would you want anyone to make you feel appreciated when ur spending that kind of money (sarcasm here). But purchasing a luxury timepiece is more then just your initial purchase. Your watch will need servicing or as with my last experience you may just want to have it polished a bit because maybe you have a special event out of town. First I was lied to and told it takes 24 hours to polish. Laughable then I was told the polisher was not in and not due until the next day after 1pm! Completely ludicrous. So that would mean that the sales people would not be selling any Rolex's for a full evening (store open til 9) and most of the next day because when you purchase a new Rolex and after a thousand people have tried it on from the display case, your eat h is sized and then polished before you leave with it! That process usually takes about 10 min! Or am I supposed to believe they would sell you a watch take your money and have you come back at a later date to get it. The fact that someone would try to tell you that no one in the service Dept could do a small shine/polish just to give it sparkle is insulting and totally unbelievable and a it does is leave the customer angry frustrated and feeling like after they took your $7,300.- they really don't want to see you again. This is just the latest experience I've had with this store there are too many to count, on every purchase I have made at this store. Which I will not be FOOLISH again to do! Please a different retailer will probably give you a better deal and make you feel like you matter on further services, thus store just leaves you feeling used doesn't provide good service!
