Dr. Tarver immediately opened up his office to help our child with his dental emergency. He gave us his personal cell phone. He and his wife were extremely professional and caring. They made our child comfortable. He reviewed the xrays and treatment plans with me in detail. I am familiar with dental xrays due to my profession. My husband's cousin is a dentist in another state and also confirmed the appropriateness of the plan in real time. I am also very well versed in conscious/procedural sedation protocols based on my profession and have performed hundreds myself. We had an in-depth discussion about the agents. Dr. Tarver had the appropriate resuscitation equipment, ACLS meds, reversal agent for versed and had my child on continuous pulseox with etco2 all readily available. His wife, a second dentist, was monitoring the conscious sedation while he was working in my son's mouth. I know exactly what should be available to sedate a child safely. And it was all followed to the letter at Clermont. I was permitted back with my child throughout the entire procedure but I realize that this may not occur with all parents due to potential disruptions. Parents should speak with Dr. Tarver regarding their specific case. He took his time with us and did not try to take advantage of us, which he very well could have done, given the current public health crisis. My husband and I are aware of various negative reviews and accounts online. We cannot speak to others' experiences but we felt it was important to share our very positive experience.

Yesterday I brought someone who was overdue for a cleaning and check up. The team was very kind in his care and made sure to keep him calm and explained everything. Reluctantly, I asked if he could recommend someone else, and he suggested Dr. Jay Arnold. Holy cow. My first impression was pretty good when I went in for a quick check in early December. No long wait for an appointment, Beautiful office. Super friendly staff. Dr. Jay explained *everything*. AND he found not one but TWO cavities hidden under an old crown. Bad news, but at least his rates were a lot lower, and his office handled my insurance. Oh... but how long before I could get them take care of? Well, it's STILL mid-December, and he took care of them today. This is why I am so enthusiastic. Dr Arnold has the most high-tech dentistry I have every seen. That makes everything better and faster and easier on everyone. No waiting. No pain. And FAST - but not rushed. Dr. Arnold continued to explain everything and was just as freindly as his staff. In no time at all he was done and wishing me a Merry Christmas. Wow. If you know anything about crowns, you know that I have to go back for the "permanent" ones in a couple weeks. They are being produced in a lab using a digital 3D scan the technician took using a little camera that peeked around inside my mouth. No molds. No fitting. It'll be exact based on the 3D digital scan. If the lab was quicker, I could have had them today. Instead, I've got the temporaries which they produced in the office from a less durable material. They fit exactly the first time, too. But don't go here. I don't want it to get crowded.

My mother is a Humana insurance member, and she was charged thousands of dollars for dental crowns that should have been covered. The office either failed to verify her insurance benefits properly or deliberately misled her about coverage. After being concerned about the high out-of-pocket costs, my mother sought a second opinion at a different dentist. To our shock, we were told that the crowns are fully covered under her Humana plan and should never have required such a large payment. This raises serious ethical concerns about the practices at this office. Either they are not competent enough to properly process insurance claims or they are intentionally overcharging patients for procedures that should be covered. This is not just frustrating--it's financially and emotionally damaging to patients, especially seniors on fixed incomes. I strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before agreeing to any major work here and to verify everything independently with your insurance provider. We will be reporting this office to Humana and the appropriate state dental board. Patients deserve transparency and honesty--not predatory billing.

Funny thing, about a month later, I got a text message from the billing department at Dream Dental with "good news." They DID bill the correct policy number and got back over $800 in fees I had already paid. They asked if I wanted the check sent to me. I said yes. That was November 2024. I was so happy to have an extra $800 or so for the holidays! No check in November. No check in December. No check in January. I even called twice to follow up, and both times they acted like they had NO IDEA what I was talking about. I just hung up...I don't get into back-and-forth with people who are clearly jacking me around. Then it occurred to me. I had a cleaning scheduled in February 2025, and they are SITTING ON that money till I come in to put it towards other services they tell me I need. Twice. Add in a two visit attempt to get a night guard, only at the end of the 2nd visit to be told "huh huh ... well we sorta ... can't do it". I will never, ever, ever use this dentist again. I would rather they all rot away than be back in business with this entity.
