Another one! (In DJ Khaled voice) Great ambiance, great staff, great food! I tried oysters for the first time. Not my thang, but hey I tried it! Anyway, I had the Chilean Bass grilled with a herb sauce, beets, and green beans. It hit the spot! I enjoyed it a lot. The restaurant was quite cozy and had a real chill vibe! Our waiter was also pretty chill. This spot is one to visit for sure!

Before I say anything specific, lemme tell you... the food, the service, everything was FANTASTIC! Waitress: Shire Party of 3 This amazing restaurant was a fantastic way for my family and I to end our most recent trip to Scottsdale Arizona. We came here based on a suggestion from someone who works at the resort that we were staying at. I cannot tell you how perfect this experience was. The recommendation was probably hands-down the best one they could've given us. B&R had something for all of us to enjoy. I was a bit concerned that my young-ish kiddo would not find something on the menu that would be appealing. I spoke to one of the hostesses at the front of the restaurant about my concern. That is when she let me know that there was a separate kids menu, but also that, essentially anything that we needed, they were pretty confident that the kitchen could figure out. Crazy, but even at as nice and as pricey, a restaurant as this, children's menu, meal items were only about $10-$12 each. I was shocked. Even more impressed, I found items like California rolls and smaller portion steak on the kids menu. Awesome!!! The ambience of the restaurant was perfect. It was dimly lit, but not dark. It was romantic, but somehow still dressy casual if you will. The entrance is beautiful and shows off their patio. I had the most delicious ribeye while my husband had fresh, raw oysters, as well as another entrée that I really didn't pay attention to because I was so engrossed in my own meal. Oopsies. LOL! My kiddo loved their California roll. It also came with a small side of strawberries. That was perfect. We ended up also ordering the small portion of steak for them. An entire morning at the aquarium, followed by an afternoon full of swimming, we had all worked up quite an appetite. They offered us a doggy bag, but once they realize that there were no leftovers on the table, we all had a good laugh, but looked at each other sideways when someone asked us if we were interested in dessert. There was no way. We were all so stuffed and we were so content. I don't quite know how we managed, but we waddled to our car and made our way back to the resort. The entire time, we talked about how fabulous our server was and how fabulous her suggestions were. We also talked about how phenomenal our food was and just how wonderful and experienced the whole night had been at Buck & Rider. My kiddo tried their first raw oyster here. I thought that was pretty amazing. I knew it must've been good since they asked for another shortly after. This is definitely a restaurant that I will suggest to people if ever they ask me for a good dining experience recommendation in Arizona. Dinner was a tad pricey, but considering we were on vacation and we were celebrating our being together as a family and having had such an amazing time in Arizona, it was worth every penny and then some. Our server was so awesome. She had a short chat with my kiddo. She showed us some of her tattoos on her arm. It was just a really nice time. It was easy for us to build rapport with our server. That was another thing that made the dining experience even more fun. Geez, I wish this restaurant were closer to home. Would I come here again? You don't even need to ask. I'll meet you there. Party of how many? Let's go. Yes, now!

One of my favorite restaurants in the valley! Love the ambiance- it's very classy, but not too fancy. The seafood always tastes very fresh in all items on the menu are so good! We had a great server and the service was excellent. I always order the dinner rolls to start. They are so simple but so good.

First time here. We sat at the bar and I really enjoyed it here. The service was great! Quick, friendly. Loved the open view of the kitchen. Absolutely loved our shrimp appetizer, sushi and ceviche. Fresh and delicious. Our drinks were perfect. Love this restaurant, service ran like a Swiss clock. Perfectly.

Great experience. Went for our Anniversary. Loved the food. Awesome Florida stone crabs and great oysters. Our server was awesome. Always there for us. Great vibe with a nice finish to the night with our name up on the board. The Manager came over to congratulate us and left us some nice cookies to take home. Highly recommend.

Having been to multiple locations of Buck & Rider including the Mayo location more than once, I can confidently say that they have a lot of good stuff to offer - and some food is pretty exceptional. I especially like the risotto with shrimp, raw seafood tower, catch of the day, and hamachi crudo. I think some items are a little bland and underwhelming for my palate and I wish they would push the flavors a little more - thinking of the tuna crispy rice, ceviche, and sushi. I was also a little disappointed in the calamari today. It was begging for salt. That said, this is some of the best seafood in the valley! And anything raw cannot be missed. This location is quite large inside and the outdoor patio is nice and shaded with umbrellas. They also have a huge parking lot which is super convenient. I think the staff always do a great service and I love that they do not rush you here so you can really sit back and enjoy. Overall, I'd never turn down an invite to Buck & Rider.

The beau and I stopped here after arriving in town late and wanted something good. Everything was really good. It took us about 10 minutes to get a table at 8pm. The place was packed. The food was so fast and all of it was delicious. The fresh seafood was amazing. By the time we ordered they were out of a few things we wanted. Some of the seats are backless chairs/stools which are not that comfortable. The interior is pretty loud and kind of cramped.

This was our first time there. We had an issue that we told our server, Haley. I didn't think she was going to tell her manager, but the manager, Mike, came over and said he would make it right. Haley made our evening special, very amiable, easy to converse with and knowledgeable. Nigiri hit the spot to start the main course. The bread was light and fluffy, the crab cakes were great because there were no fillers. The mussels were tasty and were huge. So if you want a restaurant that stands by their standards and food. This venue is the place you'll want to eat at.

While in town for a quick visit we decided to pop in for a bite. Had a chance to grab a table in the patio, and the weather was perfect! There was a slight chill in the air, but underneath the heat lamps it was extremely pleasant. We were greeted by our server, Chloe, who told us about the fresh catches of the day and made sure that drinks were flowing throughout the entire evening for the crew. Everything that we had from the appetizers to the variety of dishes were all excellent. One of the appetizers, the crunchy tuna, was so good that one of my colleagues decided to order it as part of their main dish. Only slight drawback is the fact that that desserts did not sound too appetizing but that's just because they weren't my cup of tea. Banana cream pie, lemon, meringue, pie, and chocolate cake. All sound extremely decadent, but just not my pallet. No harm no foul. The food was solid, prices fair and service was good. 9/10 would go back!

We have been back for happy hour several more times. Service is always great here. The only thing to note this time is we were seated at the sushi bar, which makes it hard for a family of four to share food. They were nice enough to move us to a table once it opened up, but we noticed they had seated parties of 2 at the tables for 4.. not sure why. I'm really disappointed that they no longer have the green juice drink. Our server recommended the Playa de Pina, which was surprisingly good. I usually can't do mescal because of the strong flavor, but it is not very strong in this drink. We enjoyed our usual happy hour dishes- the oysters (so worth it for the HH price!), shrimp ceviche, voodoo fried rice, fried chicken, hibachi and salmon roll. Everything is good. This time we ordered the red fish from the regular menu and it was delicious! We will definitely try other fish options next time. We ordered dessert and the banana cream pie is excellent.

Lizeth is amazing, so attentive, so accommodating and helpful. Love the ambiance, CS is phenomenal and everyone seemed Happy and Smiling which is attributed to Management, job well done! Food-Wine-Cocktail Selection is marvelous. We stopped in for a late lunch and it was FANTASTIC! Crab Cake Lunch Salad was "Spot On" very well balanced and the Crab Cake was SUPERB! Clam Chowder-Excellent Ceviche-Phenomenal We will definitely return, we've been to two of their three locations and all of them have been Top Notch! Plan ahead as parking can be a little bit of a challenge

The interior is pretty long with a large number of seating inside the building so we had no trouble getting seated right away by the hostess. We decided on food relatively quickly due to previous experience with the business, however, our waiter never came around to take our orders or even give us water at the table. We saw one girl with dyed hair who unassumingly could have been our waiter since she was in our section but only worked with one particular table and ran to the back after each time, but never addressed our table or came by. We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. We ordered Flordian French Toast and Elote Breakfast Burrito (plus a couple sides and drink) which were both really good, and filling. Prices weren't too bad for what we ordered and was able to take our mind off of the rather long wait to get helped. Not sure if we'll come back to this particular location again, but it was nice trying the restaurant out another time.

The staff was friendly throughout our stay, and the overall property has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy the sunshine and scenery. We booked an upgraded suite with a separate bedroom and TV room, which gave us plenty of space to spread out. While the layout was great, the room itself could use some updates. The bathroom fixtures were older--the Kohler toilet didn't flush well and was a bit noisy, and the tub/shower combo had rounded sides that made it tricky to stand comfortably. The shower water also never got fully hot. The room had a slightly musty smell, and the carpets would benefit from a deep cleaning. The balcony screen door didn't close tightly, which let a few flies in, and access to the second floor required two sets of stairs since there's no elevator in that section. Even with those issues, the resort's location, views, and overall vibe made the stay enjoyable. With some room refreshes and a bit more maintenance attention, this could easily be a standout property. The setting alone is worth experiencing.

I found a great AAdvantage Hotel deal at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort and booked it. While it was a great success of a visit in terms of AAdvantage miles and loyalty points, my actual experience at the hotel itself was less to be desired due to the customer service and a big snafu on their part. I also have Hilton Gold status, though as I booked the hotel through a third party site (AAdvantage Hotels), I could see the stay and the stay history in my Hilton app, but I did not receive any benefits for staying there, which was fine as I didn't expect any anyone. I arrived in person to check in and already reserved and prepaid for a King 1 Bedroom Standard Suite, which had a nice view and reasonably spacious room (but not too much larger than a regular room at another hotel). The room was certainly not upgraded though there was parking available right in front of the entrance. I did not receive anything else at check-in nor did it appear that I'd get my regularly complimentary water. I did pay the daily resort charge which includes high speed internet access, access to the Falls Water Village, an hour at the tennis/pickleball court, an hour at the afternoon golf practice facility, two hours for a mountain bike rental, 20% off seasonal spa services, and 15% off select golf apparel. While I didn't use it, I had easy view and access to the Falls Water Village where you could lounge and play all day on their sun-marked terrace where you could find free-form pools, hot tubs, and cabanas. They even have a 138-foot enclosed water slide. When I checked out, I was told that a bill would be sent to me shortly since I did it on the app early, and when I received the bill, there was a charge for my room at the restaurant at the top of the hill called A Different Point of View. The catch is that I never went to eat there during my stay (or at any onsite restaurant since I live in the area and had my meals offsite). I reached out to the hotel who insisted that I did go there to eat. I promised them I didn't eat anywhere onsite and that they need to look at the receipt and see if it actually has my room number. They confirmed it did and that this meant I ate there. I told them to find my name on it and let me know if it was on there. After several more back and forth conversations, they confirmed it wasn't me and would remove the charge. They then mistakenly charged me double. Then they removed one charge, but it took more than a week before they removed the other charge. By the end of the exchanges, it felt like they were blaming me for their own mistake. While the resort is aged and rather pleasant, there certainly are training issues regarding the customer service offered at this property. I do not plan on staying here again in the future.
