I love a good steak and This was our first time here. We Made a reservation and requested to be seated by the pool. Beautiful view and good service from the staff. I ordered the Bone-in ribeye, creamed spinach and artichoke, crème brûlée corn (sweet and delicious) Dominic's potatoes, and a Scottsdale Rita. Drinks were strong and food was good. Bathroom rug was super cute. They gave 2 small "complimentary" overcooked chocolate chip cookies at the end.

This deserves more than 5 stars!!! Beautiful steakhouse restaurant with a fabulous menu and the most attentive staff!! Our waiter Josh explained the entire menu and made us feel so welcomed!! Took great care of us and made sure we had a perfect experience!! From the extensive wine menu and delicious appetizers, to steaks, seafood, lots of sides and so much more. We were seated upstairs near the gorgeous bar and beautiful blue pool in the middle of the room. A perfect vibe for a perfect meal

Solid steakhouse in the Scottdale scene. I'm a fan of bone-in ribeye and there's did not disappoint. Only would improve the overseasoning, and I'm not the biggest fan of hot sizzling plates at steakhouses because I feel like my steak is still cooking, lol. The iberico pork chops were great, just wish they were a tad meatier. For sides the mac and cheese waa a hit, but the mushrooms were crazy good. Service was very attentive, and they made us feel very special for our 25th anniversary. The free dessert (we chose the warm beignets) was an added bonus. Inside was busy and vibe was typical steakhouse vibes, from business clients entertaining to folks on their date.

Tomahawk wagyu was to die for.. crab legs were perfect and delicious cocktails. We sat upstairs on the rooftop with the mini pool which was pretty cool. The helpers of our server were very attentive.

This is one of the best places to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just another day. From the valet service at the front door to the hostess stand when you check in, amazing. Our waiter, Ruben, was phenomenal. He guided us through our dining experience and made the entire experience special. We had the Ribeye, Sugar Snap Pees, Dominic''s Potato's, Hasselbach potatoes and the Corn Crème Brûlée. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and the sides were perfect. You can't celebrate life without dessert. Vanilla Carmel Cake and the Dark Chocolate cake were the selections. I was able to crop a picture of the chocolate cake. We were seated upstairs where there is a pool in the center of the room and the roof was open. It created such a nice overall experience for us. This was our first time at Dominic's, we are looking forward to going back.

Food was delicious and definitely top notch. Service was even better. Ambiance meets the standard for fine dining. Would recommend for a celebratory dinner as the experience is super fancy. However, I did see other patrons in a tee shirt and even baseball cap so not sure they enforce dress codes here but most everyone else was dressed to impress. I also saw a poodle walking out with their owner on a leash too so overall a little confused about how fine this fine dining spot really is. Nonetheless, I would recommend their steak options, fried calamari, meatball appetizer and asparagus fries. Their French fries were mediocre, Brussels sprouts weren't all that, and the beignet tree displays better than it tasted. Also, their chocolate chip cookies that come out with the bill were not fresh so it was hard and crunchy like it came out a packaged box. So overall, a really great experience but definitely room for improvements. Solid 4-stars.

We came to Dominick's to celebrate a birthday, and it was the perfect place for a special occasion. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible and really makes the whole experience feel upscale and memorable. The service was incredible and so attentive, which made the night feel even more special. The food and drinks were spectacular, though definitely on the pricey side, but worth it for a celebration. The sides are huge and easily enough to share for a table of four, which was a nice surprise. Such a great spot if you're looking to celebrate something special.

Omg what an excellent dinner. Food was good. The Chilean Sea Bass was a lil dry. But the rest of the food was delicious. Such a lovely place too omg! We sat upstairs and the interior design is so lovely. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and what he recommended as my first time. Buttered cake is a must have ugh...

We come to Dominick's often. Since moving to AZ we've seen it through different stages of being. We do miss the awesome HH pre-COVID. The food and service are consistently good. We especially love sitting at the poolside with the top open in the Spring and Fall. The reason for my review is that they have a dress code for patrons (which I understand and respect), but recently their female staff, particularly when you sit in the bar area, look like they are going out on the town and not in a good way. I don't know if they were dressing that way for Waste Management or just to get that kind of attention- but it's just not right. If I'm expected to dress nicely, so should the wait staff.

There's a parking structure across the way if you're not into valet parking. However, if you are, there's a valet RIGHT in front of the restaurant entrance. It's a beautiful restaurant. The service is impeccable. The food, even better. The ribeye is one of the BEST prepared ribeyes I've had at a steakhouse. Definitely get the chicken fried lobster! It's worth EVERY single dime you spend here. Highly recommend. This will be a standard whenever I'm in Scottsdale.

If you're in Scottsdale, Dominick's Steakhouse is a must-visit spot. It's a white tablecloth, fine dining experience. The wait staff is highly attentive and well-versed in every aspect of the menu. The ambiance is classic, moody and quiet enough for a business meal or family meal. Reservations are required. I love the pork belly appetizer - a little sweet and a little spicy - is so tender you can cut it with a spoon. I also like the superfood salad - sunflower seeds, blueberries, strawberries and an amazing vinaigrette. The steaks are cooked to perfection - we choose medium - with a delicious rub. They are too big for me to eat one by myself, but my husband is always willing to share a few bites of his :) A note about parking...valet is $8 plus tip or there are free garages nearby.

Ask the Community - Dominick's Steakhouse

Is it too dark to see the menu without a flashlight?

No, we didn't need a light to see the menu.

Are reservations recommended or can you just show up?

Walk ins are welcome although we do strongly suggest making reservations.

Has happy hour come back or is there still no happy hour?

No happy hour it has been terminated

    Is the steak wood fired?

We do not wood fire our steaks. They are broiled at 1500 degrees then served on a 500-degree plate and finished with clarified butter and fresh chopped parsley.

Can we order just sides for pick up?

Absolutely, we are happy to provide sides to go

Are shorts appropriate for this restaurant?

Yes, we allow shorts as long as they are not gym attire or cut off jeans.

Does Dominick's have a small private room for 11 of us celebrating?

Yes. Reach out to them to schedule.

Is there a chicken option off the menu?

I don't think they have many, if any, chicken options, but a lot of seafood options.

Can you bring a 4-year-old child with you?

    Of course!!!!Children are welcome.

I plan to bring my elderly mother for a special night out. Is there easy access and minimal steps?

There are areas with no steps and a short walk but please make notes in your reservation so we can be sure to seat you there. If you already have a reservation I am happy to make proper notes.

Is the happy hour back now and if not, any plans to bring it back?

I asked when I went a week ago and they said no. I didn't ask if it was coming back. I assume not for a while just because of massive inflation on everything let alone logistics.

Does the restaurant have high chairs?

Yes, they do. The other person who responded to this is just plain rude.

Is there live music or piano on the weekends?

    Yes.

Is your Happy Hour menu back?

Are they open for happy hour yet?

    No. Not yet.

    Have they opened since COVID19?

    Yes, they are open

Can I bring my own wine and pay a corkage fee?

    No you can't.

Does this place have options for vegetarians?

The center piece to their dinner menu is steak and seafood. However, they have vegetarian appetizers, salads - and if pescatarian - they have poke and fish options.

What is considered "proper attire" during the hot Phoenix Summer season?

To be honest, my man wore some pale, putty-colored shorts (couldn't consider them super nice) and I think a polo shirt. Granted, I was a little dressier. They happily took our $300 for the dinner regardless. ;). I have seen folks pretty casual in… Read more

Not too spicy and full of flavor. Also, great for sharing as you fill it in the buttery tortillas. The filet was seriously one of the best I've ever had in Arizona. It has a nice shallot butter crust and it was cooked PERFECTLY medium rare. This was a highlight. The pork chop is huge and has a nice sweetness to it. The meat wasn't dry either...it pretty much tasted like the best bacon I've ever had LOL Everyone must get the green chili Mac n cheese. Not spicy at all just Smokey and tangy and full of cheese but shockingly not that heavy. The pecan pie was unreal. Gooey and sweet but the crust was still super flakey. The host told us that there was open seating along the wall or under cover outside. Since the wall was full, we ventured outside near the cooler. We were given water right away but didn't even see a server, Jessica, for 12 mins. We even had to ask her for menus. It was a very awkward start. My wife ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and a Caesar salad, plus wine while I got the 22 ounce Ribeye and a side of Poblano and PepperJack Grits, plus an iced tea. It all came to $137.11 plus tip. Our salad arrived in 8 minutes and our dinner 10 mins later. The salad was outstanding. Plenty of romaine, dressed with the right amount of dressing, 3-4 croutons and a mound of shaved Parmesan cheese. The salmon was really good, served with sautéed green beans and soy butter. My steak was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned well and the grits were incredible. They were creamy, with pronounced poblano and Jack cheese. It was the perfect accompaniment. Jessica did a great job checking in on us during our meal but, again, it was awkward waiting 15 mins for her to offer dessert and check. We will return but perhaps not during happy hour, when it's very busy but the evening staff hasn't arrived yet.

We kicked things off with a complimentary prickly pear vodka cocktail (delicious) paired with a comp app -- looks like they rotate these, and I got hummus with crudite and crackers. During the meal, there were 2 standout dishes that made this memorable. - Hamachi Crudo: THE BEST crudo I have ever had. They switch up the dressing regularly, but whatever they put on mine was unforgettable - 10 oz Wagyu Strip: solid steak, but nothing "Wagyu" tasting. It didn't have that melt-in-your-mouth fatty richness I was hoping for from wagyu and was slightly chewy. - Scallops: tender! - Asparagus: came with a creamy sauce which was a great touch - Chocolate Espresso Mousse Cake: MAGICAL. Layered, with crunchy pralines and vanilla ice cream. If you've had the chocolate hazelnut cake at Carbone, this gave me major similar vibes... that good! Will absolutely be back to try a different cut of steak and also the loaded baked potato. The ambience alone is worth the trip, but the crudo and that cake are what's going to stick with me.

If I had one minor critique, it would be the king crab legs. They are char-grilled, which gives them a smoky flavor that wasn't quite our personal preference. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. We ordered a bottle of wine and went to town on: White Bean Puree * Crispy Short Rib | Herb Salad | Flour Tortilla: Karaage * Aji Amarillo | Citrus Gastrique | Togarashi | Lime Elote * Chorizo Butter | Lime Creme Fraiche | Toasted Chiles Romaine * Buttermilk Dressing | Mexican Sriracha | Parmesan | Noble Bread Breadcrumbs Gambas al Ajillo * Wild Shrimp Co. Mexican Shrimp | Paprika Garlic Butter | Serrano Cruda | Garlic Noble Bread - this was the only dish that was not my favorite. SUPER flavorful but I wanted a more.. 'traditional' tapas Gambas al Ajillo flavor aka less paprika please. Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. The service was great. I also enjoyed their extensive tequila and mezcal menu. The only downside is the parking -- it's pretty small and shared with Lou Malnati's next door!

The service we received was superb, and our food came out in a timely manner. We ordered the Hickman Deviled Eggs to start and WOW!! They definitely put their own twist on these bad boys!! They are plated beautifully and taste even better! I chose the Pick Two option for lunch and I was very satisfied. I was a bit worried when someone mentioned the brisket was dry.. although I had a tiny part of one that was dry, the rest of it was juicy and tender. Yummm!!! The Prime Brisket and Pulled Pork were perfectly cooked and d went well with the Sweet Potato Fries. My coworker got the Snitch Burger and even though the bun was on the thick side, it was a tasty burger! Prices are reasonable and parking isn't an issue. This place has a very casual vibe with the bar seating on one side and the dining room on the other. Give it shot and hop on The Joy Bus at Bootleggers Modern American Smokehouse!
