Their strategy seems to be advertising a good price to get you in the door and then pad the cost of the car with fees to make additional profit. I was prepared to pay list price, tax, and title but not a BS fee. I also left a negative review on Google. They responded with my full name, of my employer, what I've been doing for the last 15 years as a college professor. They took the papers in the back and altered them to look like we purchased a $4,300.00 policy. Read the reviews, believe what you read. Buck Chevy, in Canal Fulton, Ohio, is crooked. Look in the dictionary under crooked car dealers, you'll find the Buck Chevy Logo. We agreed on a purchase price. Went inside to sign the papers. I wanted to put down half of the agreed-upon price. They said I could not put down more than 20%. I said Fine, I'll pay the loan off with the first payment. They said the loan could not be paid off within a year! I said I don't believe that. I bought the car, and I will say I'm happy with it. They used a third party to collect the monthly payment and forward it to the loan company. I understand that it is not altogether odd. I had never heard of it. The next day, I called the loan company and the third party. They both told me I could pay it off from day one. Which I did. Do yourself a favor: avoid Buck Chevrolet. read more

We initially called Buck Chevy interested in a vehicle we viewed listed on the website. We spoke with Brad over the phone after filling out some things online that they asked for and set an appointment. My husband and I went in to talk about a vehicle that we were interested in. Got there around 5:30p and waited for about an hour for someone to get back with us about the information we filled out with Brad. After an hour he came back to tell us that the person they were working with to get us financed had went home for the day and advised us that he would call the following day. We did get a call back the next afternoon and he stated that the car we were interested in was priced out weird so the loan company wouldn't finance it but he could get us into a different vehicle which was okay because we did like the other vehicle in question A little while later he called again and stated that we would need almost $4,000 down when we told him we would be willing to put down $1,000 or a little more and he had assured us that would be perfectly fine. This was after he ran both of our credit scores. He also knew that even though I had a W-2 to show for employment, my husband was a 1099 and when we talked with him he told us that wouldn't be an issue either but come to find out by the third phone call apparently that was an issue as well. The whole experience was very unorthodox to me and very all over the place. Given the reviews I read on here I was already skeptical and this just confirmed it even further. I had a great experience with my sales person, but once I was handed over to finance I got raked over the coals. They attached and extra 4K warranty to my deal package, and when I called right after I noticed this, they said they would tell the owner. He called ME, and then when I said I wanted it taken off, he said he would see what he could do, but he had "a line of people in front of him and didn't have time right now". NEVER called me back. I think my sales guy should find somewhere else to work if he hasn't already. He's too honest and sincere for this place. Back when I was driving Chevys and went to BUCKS for most of my car service, it was a delightful experience! I prefer to have dealers that I buy my cars from service my cars too! They usually do better work, provide good customer relationships, and what you to keeping back! They provided a waiting room and in good weather I would watch the canal boat pulled by miles go directly beside and behind the dealership in the historic canal! I especially like them driving me home and picking up from home when my car was ready! They were always friendly and polite! They were always warm and friendly when I would just stop by and review the new cars in stock! I made an account just to say something about this place. Came with my parents to look at a vehicle, and called the day before to make an appointment. The associate told me it was available and I was excited to see it! We got to the dealership and found one associate on the floor, and he had been there only 3 weeks. He showed us the vehicle, and went to grab the keys for a test drive. As we waited outside, it became apparent that something was up. He came out and told us there was a deal pending on the vehicle online, right after he already showed us the car. We offered to buy it in full right then, and he declined. Never have I ever gone to a dealership that refuses a sale. Something was up. We moved to leave, and the associate tried to show us a different vehicle like the one we wanted, but a different make and model. We ended up finding a vehicle later that day and I love it! Out of curiosity, I looked up the vehicle I was looking at on Buck Chevrolet's website a few days later, and found that the dealership had increased the price of the vehicle by $2,000! Which means they lied to me about a deal pending on it to get me to go to the dealership! That's incredibly shady business practice, and I implore everyone else to stay away from this place. There's a rumor going around that they offer gas cards to people who leave 5 star Google reviews to boost their score. This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. I have so many problems with my car and I got finessed. I pay too much for a car that has so many issues, coolant tank leaking, leading to engine overheating. My father fixed the coolant tank himself and found that there was no steel around the hole to keep the liquid inside. No features with the car that I have and I pay the same amount as someone with a new car and more features. I hope this place goes out of business from all the bad reviews they have. I would give this place negative if I could. Please don't go to these people who don't even care to fix a car that is less that a year owned. I called and they said they couldn't do anything about the issue. Go to a place that is heavily populated around, they want their business to succeed and not skimp people out for their money. I came to a verbal agreement on a price for a Chevrolet Colorado and was told to come back Monday to sign the paperwork. When I arrived the price presented was $6000+ different than discussed and the sales rep. refused to show legal documents with the exact numbers (focusing on "payment"). When I walked away from the deal, the sales rep later texted me shit emoji's and treated me in an abusive and nasty fashion. I have talked to family members who have also shared similar experiences over the past couple of years - don't just avoid this business, run in the opposite direction! I've never dealt with anyone like this, total scam artist. Look at the purchase agreement (they refused to show me all the charges until after they financed the car), look at the fee's prior to letting them take your deposit. They tell you a payment but won't let you actually see how much they actually financing until after they have taken your (what they call non refundable down payment). In my case it would have been an additional $1100 on top of the tax and title fee's they stated they were charging. Which may not seem that bad but I was buying a $5500 car. That a 20% up charge. Total jerks to deal with. They will not accept financing on your own, if you don't use their total rip off system they won't sell you a car. They refused to work a bank other than the ones they choose. I got approved with competitive rate but unless you take there over priced warranty they will not use that rate. I was told if I removed the warranty my interest rate would triple! (PS I talked to the bank who had offered the low rate and they told me the interest rate had nothing to do with whether or not I bought a 6 month warranty, They charged me a $300 plus fee to use a third party to collect my payments and forward them to the bank I financed thru. I refused to use the service and they refused to refund the charge. Of course since they refused to show me the sales document prior to taking my deposit I was stuck with the charge. I was told specifically the car had 2 sets of keys but when they tried to deliver the car they could only find 1, most dealerships would have said sorry about that we'll send you a second set. This is the first negative review I've ever written. I guess we all knew cars salespeople are sleazebags, but I was surprised. Trying to buy a 2011 Lexus that had been in a serious accident in the past. Tried to test drive it and forgot to bring my insurance, I didn't think it was a problem since my dad had brought our insurance the day before, so my fault. However, I kept being pushed to put a deposit down without having test driven it. Are you f*%#cking serious? No. Then I find out the car has been on sale since May and the original asking price was thousands less than what they were asking for... tried to ask for the original price and they pretty much told us to f!!k off. Dan claimed my bank, with which I had not spoken about the car, had called to harass their parts manager, because it makes perfectly reasonable sense for a bank to harass a used car dealership's mechanic over a sale. He lied about my credit score and the car that was advertised at $6989 quickly became $12,500 by adding a $4000 warranty without my knowledge to a car that I already had a factory warranty. The payment remained the same because he extended the payment term from 36 to 60 months. Fortunately when signing the paperwork, I noticed in small FinePrint that this had happened so I immediately walked out of the dealership. We went out to stroll the selection of cars and were finally greeted by the service manager. Nice enough guy even though he pointed out that we did not have an appointment. Wasn't aware you needed one to look at cars. Anyway, we were abruptly told that they do not work with preapprovals from outside sources...as in our credit union and he wanted to run another credit report and do financing themselves. Why? The paperwork is very confusing and not clear! This was the first time I have ever bought a car from a dealership. It seemed good when it started... The salesmen, Jonny, is a super friendly guy and seemed willing to help. I thought I was getting a decent deal at $5,895 for a 2013 Chevy Cruze... Turns out I'm actually paying $14,751.25..... The radio wouldn't turn on during the test drive and Jonny said he would show me how to work it never did. Didn't turn on when I left either, thankfully I figured out they had just pulled the fuse out for some reason.. I put a new one in and it started working fine. It had bald tires that leaked air and dirty oil, I didn't notice because he said they went over the car and changed the fluids plus they shined the tires so I didn't notice how bad a shape they were in (They did fix that but putting 2 new tires and changing the oil for free a few days later after I mentioned that it was crap; only reason they are getting the second star..) The 100,000 mile power train warranty they push is not at all worth it. It's way more expensive than they make it seem to be and it only last 5 years... They never mentioned that it was only good for 5 years and it's in the fine print. He said the payments were going to be about $60 bi-weekly, in the fine print later I find it's actually $84.63 bi-weekly... I might be wrong but I thought I had made sure to at least check the numbers over thoroughly while I was signing the 150 papers, it really seems like they had different papers over top of the carbon copies... Of course I have no evidence of this so I can't fight it. All I can say is for your own sake, go somewhere else... And if you do go here, check over everything very very very very carefully and look underneath the top papers... I got screwed on this one and all I can hope is that this car lasts a while because I'm not going to be able to afford a different one for a long time... I called this dealer on Monday March 26, 2018 as they had a good selection of used Cruzes and looking to purchase one for our daughter (her first car). I spoke to "Johnny", gave him stock numbers and he stated they were at that available, I told him I would take off work on Saturday March 31, 2018 to come down from Cleveland, he took my name and number and said he would call me on Friday March 30, 2018 to let me know if any of the stock numbers I gave him were still available. On Friday I had not heard from him so I called, he was arrogant and said if I didn't have an appointment I was waisting my time coming down, I said I told you on Monday I was coming and was told nothing about making an appointment, he said he didn't have time to discuss the matter with me and I could say what I had to say on his voicemail. I said connect me to a manager who happens to be named Dan Buck, I left 2 messages for him to call me back.....crickets. This dealer is a sham, STAY AWAY. read more

They price the car in bi-monthly payments and make you believe that is the monthly payment and with all the add on charges it sounds like that would be about right. I made a big mistake by trusting them and not looking at the line items one by one and they do a good job at hiding them and diverting your attention in a different direction. I never heard of bi-monthly payments in all my life or gap insurance for that matter. I know now gap insurance means your overpaying for the car. Go to this dealerships web- site and read the reviews, other people like myself got taken the same way!! Me and my husband bought a car from Johnny at Buck Chevrolet two weeks ago. Very disappointed with the over all experience and their lack of customer support in all areas. They say every car goes through a saftey/mechanical inspection which is a lie. I almost got into an accident two days after buying my car because the breaks were so bad on the car, not to mention all the rear break lights and turn signals were out when the car was purchased... I had to put over 1,200.00 dollars into the car to make it safe to drive. I have called Buck Chevrolet multiple times and been left on hold then told Johnny who answered the phone initially was now on a test drive... Without ever getting a call back in regards to any of my concerns. So they will not even speak to me on these issues, let alone do anything to correct them.
