"Caveat Emptor" Went to Fix-It with Fred for a needed oil change and the air conditioner was…read moreblowing warm air. Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.

My current car had throttle issues so i needed a reliable unscary car. We found my new car at Spirit Auto Group almost immediately. The transaction was so fast that i can no longer complain about the horror stories i have from previous experiences at dealerships. We found the car and did not have time wasted on offers of a bunch of maintenance or other "perks" that always became waste of money in the past. I had several questions and each one answered in normal English. I have no knowledge of cars or repairs or any of that. I wanna get and go. Well, get and go with my own set of questions. 5 years later my car still runs like a champ and i left the license plate holder that says Spirit Auto Group on my car. I usually NEVER advertise for companies, espcially if not deserved. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was informed that the vehicle was not even on the lot because a manager was using it as a demo vehicle. It was extremely disappointing to make that drive only to find out the truck I had an appointment to see wasn't available. I want to specifically recognize my salesperson, Christian, who was professional, apologetic, and acknowledged how frustrating the situation was. This was clearly not his fault. My frustration is with the dealership's scheduling and members of management. If a customer has a confirmed appointment to see a specific vehicle, that vehicle should either be available or the customer should be notified before making the trip. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting visit ended up being a significant waste of time, fuel, and a day off from work. I hope the dealership reviews its process so future customers don't have the same experience.

Dealer agreed to pay half the repairs ($550). I turned in the receipts for the repairs and went in to get a reimbursement check. Dealer is stiffing me for the repairs and tells me I should be grateful he even sold me a car for such a great deal. This is after he's had my money for nearly two months and I can't even drive the car because the temporary tag is expired and I don't have a title to get a license plate. RUN don't walk to get away from this lying con man.
