Boom bam boom, it is what it is. You walk in, see the menu, pick your bagel if your getting one, pay, and in a jiffy your out. I was in and outta there in about 7-10 mins which I appreciate. Their parking lot it teeny tiny so I parked by Dollar General and walked over. Plus I didn't feel like having my car scratched so I appreciated the room. Depending on the time of day good luck making a left outta there to go further East but making a right going West should be NO PROBLEM. I ordered a Corned Beef, Egg, Pepper Jack Cheese, on a Jalapeño Cheddar Bagel with a side of scallion cream cheese and potato cake. Great flavor combination but the bagel without the cream cheese was a little dry but once I added the cream cheese it was perfect. The potato cakes are teeny tiny but good. I'll be back. read more

I stopped for breakfast after an appointment at the VA. Ordered the eggs and chicken sausage with a bagel. The person taking my order seemed uninterested in helping me. The eggs which I ordered scrambled came to me discolored with bits of food from the grill in it. Nasty! The sausage was okay. The bagel was fantastic. I will probably come back for a bagel but not Breakfast . The nasty person at the counter should be fired! read more

Everyone order for pick up, I am pleasantly pleased. I have had two of their sandwiches. For breakfast I had the egg, cheese, and turkey on a bagel. So good and filling. For lunch I had the Turkey Rueben, which was amazing. This is my new go to for lunch on the go. read more

Fox's has failed me again. See the picture below, I asked for lox and bagel, and this is what I got. Where are the capers, where is the tomato, where is the onions? (picture shows only half of the bagel). I come to Columbus three or four times a year and always look forward to my lox and Bagel. I hadn't been since it was Block's. Partly out of loyalty, partly because it just isn't on my way anywhere. Today it was nearby and I wanted a light breakfast. Looks and feels almost the same. Same awkward ordering layout- bagels in back, cream cheese up front, a couple other places in between to order other things. Works well if you want one thing. If you want a sandwich and plain bagels, kind of a pain. Service was friendly and reasonably fast. Looked empty when I went in, but there were multiple online and Doordash orders so it took longer than I expected to get my order- "Fox's Lox." Maybe 15 minutes, at 9am on a weekday. I got a tomato bagel just to try it, and it went well with everything else though the bagel got a bit lost in the other flavors. Lots of tender, subtle lox; capers and a healthy amount of cream cheese; fresh lettuce and surprisingly non-plastic tomatoes for October. Very good all in all. Got a bottled pop because I didn't see the fountain in back. Lots of varieties of bagels, plus a bit heftier breakfast and lunch menu than I remember at Block's. Assorted "salads" up front. Reasonable prices. Still among the best bagels in town. Easier parking that The Lox, and a bit cheaper. Handy if you're in the area. read more

The staff here is great and the menu is pretty extensive. You can get everything from bagels and latkes to soup and chili dogs! The prices are very affordable and they make pretty much everything from scratch. You can dine in or order online and pick up to go. They sell breakfast sandwiches, a delicious Rueben, and bagels by the box. It's a family friendly restraint with both indoor and outdoor seating. Things are kept clean and orderly. read more

The past three times in a row have had awful service. Love the bagels but please get that girl off of the register. Makes you feel like it's an inconvenience to order food from YOUR menu. Also made a regular habit of telling people it'll be 45 min wait for food from the grill. Got us last time and we just ordered smear while we watched other grilled food come out before our toasted bagels. We actually got what we wanted this past time from the grill and it took 10-15 max, not 45. Watched 4-5 customers come in (with no line to wait mind you) and get basically turned away from service because of the over estimation of food wait times. Feels like the purpose is to deter you from ordering at all rather than a friendly heads up it might be a little while. read more

I had the egg and cheese bagel and my husband had a cream cheese bagel. Order at the counter and the food is done quickly. We both enjoyed our breakfast. I picked up a couple of cookies to go and they were also very good. There is not a lot of room to park in the parking lot, but we did find a spot. The table had fun crayons on it for children to use. We went here one Sunday for brunch and it was very good. They were out of some bagels but it was late and they were going to close in an hour so I wasn't put out. I have to admit, I was a loyal Blocks Bagels customer and refused to go to Fox because of the litigation between the two. With the owner of Blocks passing and the family decision to close Blocks, I decided to go to Fox for bagels. It pains me to say this as Hal Block was a good man, but Fox Bagels are excellent, dare I say a bit better?! I am a born and raised New Yorker and these bagels are the real deal (so was Blocks), and was very happy to see Fox had Egg Everything bagels (my favorite). It's a bit longer drive for me than going to Blocks, but for a TRUE NY bagel, Fox is now my go to place (and the only place left in Columbus to get real bagels). If you love Panera's bagels, which aren't really bagels but rolls with holes in them, you should try Fox! read more

Young lady at the register seemed to have a bad attitude or simply did not want to serve us. I went to order and she cut me off stating that there would be a 20-25 minute wait on anything I ordered because there were only 2 workers available. I said that was fine and ordered 2 bagels. She gets the bagels immediately with no delay hands them to another gentleman behind the counter as if to hand the transaction off to him and walks away. Bagel dough is good but the toppings don't stick to the bagel and they have very poor poppy seed coverage. At this point it's basically a plain bagel. If they update their production process to correct this (very obvious) issue I'd update to 5 stars. I just don't see how a manager or owner could sell these as poppy seed bagels and not see a problem with it or work to correct the issue so that the toppings stick better to the bagel? read more

What a great experience! This place is clean, friendly, inviting. The food selections exceeded expectations. The food was fresh, tasty and memorable. Every employee was smiling and seems to work well together and enjoy each other's company. The restrooms were as clean as the kitchen. Very important. A coworker brought in Fox's bagels as a treat and they definitely delivered! While I can't comment on the device or location, the bagels themselves were delicious! She brought a wide variety of egg bagels, cinnamon raisin, blueberry, salt, and everything. They also provided a good amount of cream cheese - plain and vegetable. I personally had an egg bagel with plain cream cheese and it was delicious - a great texture (slightly chewy/soft, definitely not hard) and the cream cheese was a nice whipped consistency that made it easy to spread. I also had an everything bagel the next day (lots of leftovers) which was not as fresh/tasty as the same day bagel but still quite good! I will say, the everything bagel has a LOT of seasoning on it. Preferred to the alternative but got a little messy and I did knock a few toppings off so it wasn't overwhelming. If you are looking for a good breakfast that's easy to bring to coworkers I'd definitely recommend. read more

I've been to the Blocks in North Market many times but this was my first time at this larger location! I saw all the positive reviews and love the bagels from the other location and had to give this place a try. The place definitely has a very retro diner feel. Not super packed or crowded on a holiday morning either. I got the lox sandwich on an everything bagel, which I love at the other location. They were super generous with the lox and toppings, but unfortunately the bagel was just a bit too doughy for my liking without the classic chewiness. I got a half dozen of everything bagels for the road and they had the same problem of being pretty doughy. Sadly I wish I could have loved the bagels here more, but overall cute place and super amazing, nice staff! read more

I wanted to have a nice Sunday morning and treated myself to a Lox Platter, which I ordered online. I showed up at the time I was quoted, and my food wasn't ready. I ran into a friend who had the same issue. He had to wait 25 minutes. I ended up waiting for an hour to finally get my food. Instead of apologizing for the extremely long wait, the owner questioned me about when I ordered and showed up. Customer Service 101: apologize and ask how you can make it right. NEVER blame the guest. When I got home, my order was not only incorrect but also ice cold. I went back to have them correct things, and the owner was again awful, saying, "She claims this is cold and wasn't made right." I responded, "Check the food and ticket. You will feel it's cold and see it was made incorrectly." (Cream cheese was even wrong.) This was months ago, and despite living within walking distance, I have NOT been back and happily drive to McNaughten to get the real deal from a kind and welcoming staff. read more

I have not written a bad review in a long time but i guess it's been a while since i was so dissatisfied with the service that i go through the effort of addressing it. I'm literally standing here for 30 minutes waiting for bagel sandwich. At least they have a sign now that says order here. Is this how all bagel places are? These people who work here do not care about you, and do not care about making money. They are there to hang out with their friends, and maybe make some sandwiches leisurely. They are literally talking and bullshitting the entire time and standing around. They're also out of bagels super early and of course always have too much of some other kinds mostly the everything bagel. Like, why wouldn't you figure out that you're making too many of the same bagels every single time? Why are you even open still past a certain time? It's so annoying to come here, but I haven't found another place and this one is in North market, which I go there for coffee too so maybe once in many months, I forget how annoying it is to go there and I accidentally order and regret my decision every time. Maybe this will be a reminder to myself to never stop here again. This review is for the one in north market but sounds like from the other reviews that that one sucks too. Edit: Oh i got home and checked my sandwich. They left MORE than HALF the ingredients off the thing!! No bacon no mustard no jalapeño no cheddar cheese no tomato on the jalapeño sandwich! WOW wtf?!
