    Seafood boil buckit
    Jessica B.

I had seen this place on tik tok and had to try it! I saw a lot of complaints about the price but and I'm a bit on the fence, it's very fulfilling for one person but coulda had a bit more. My partner also enjoyed his. $30 per bucket, half a sweet corn on the cob, one boiled egg, two crab legs, approx 7 shrimp, some sausage and a lot of baby potatoes. I picked the spicy Cajun and it wasn't too hot on the mouth but enough to make your nose run. Do wish you got more crab as the legs are very small. My partner enjoyed his hapa sauce which is cheehoo sauce (creamy coconut with garlic) and you can mix it with any other sauce (regular Cajun, not spicy or spicy Cajun). I highly recommend you look up their schedule on Instagram to see where they are for the week. It was about an hour drive in rush hour from Waikiki but well worth it. Truck was bright and parked outside of a hotel and the lady who took our order was super kind! Didn't have much of a wait and we got there after 5pm. They supplied cutlery and gloves for eating.

( Replacement) New order that was fix, My opinion still not worth $32 I can go Kickin and get whole crabs instead, this is ridiculous.

I took my first review off because of me contacting them to make things right, I do appreciate them going above and beyond and "trying". I deleted my first review but after my new order got picked up, I gotta say that My review from before remains, regardless of them fixing it because what I'm not gunna do is front. The first time I thought it was salty they only had the Chee Hoo sauce available but I wanted half & half which is also the House Cajun. I can honestly confirm the facts are true, I got the mixture half and half and it don't even matter still salty, I will never attempt to pay $32 again. What they give is not worth the price. Let's be honest. Skimpy looking crabs need to be 1 whole cluster especially if you charging $32. Sausages and potatoes only cost a couple dollars at Kickin Cajun. This is crazy.

Seafood boil is a hot selling item! Creative concept of take away buckets! A few pieces of easy to peel shrimp, some pieces of mild Portuguese sausage, several miniature round potatoes, one boiled egg, half a buttered corn on the cob, a couple of easy to peel crab legs, and finally topped with a lemon slice. Both sauces of House Cajun and Cheehoo are da bomb! Made with love and perfection! Ono! Definitely worth the wait! Seafood Boil w/ House Cajun sauce is mild, not spicy, savory with assorted, Cajun seasonings and spices. Lighter and flavorful! Shake your bucket with lid sealed if sauce starts to separate. Seafood Boil w/ Cheehoo sauce is a mild, creamy, coconut with garlic sauce. Slightly heavier. If you love sauce, you'll love this one. There's also a Hapa sauce, combination of Cheehoo sauce with House Cajun sauce poured on top, shaken. Definitely taste the multitude of flavors. Matter of preference. One bucket of seafood boil cost $31 and is sufficient to feed one person. I also ordered a steak burrito $16 for my husband since he patiently waited 1.5 hours in our vehicle. I didn't try the steak burrito and let him have it all. They also make a few Mexican entrees, apps, desserts, and horchata which I'd love to try on my next visit. Follow their IG for dates, locations, times and menu. Take your allergy pill or meds in advance. Cash, cards, tap, Apple, and Venmo are accepted. Be prepared to wait for set up. Arrive early for parking. I arrived a few minutes before 3 PM in Waipio. One of the owners and staff apologized for the wait. Very helpful with menu items. They were not expecting a big turnout with a long line of customers. Opened for business at 4 PM. I was the sixth party in line to place my order. There were a few huge orders before mine. Paid for my order at 4:18 PM. Orders were ready quickly. My order was ready at 4:30 PM. To go orders packed in a large, clear plastic bag with gloves, napkins and forks. Served fresh and heat hot! I brought my Trader Joe's insulated bag to keep food level and hot on the drive home. Devoured seafood boil in the comfort of home. Support local. Support Native Hawaiian business.

When I think about it, maybe my order was mixed up with another order. Although my order was missing the shrimp there was lots of potatoes and sausage.

I finally checked out Buckits Hawaii, and let me tell you, they're famous for their seafood buckets! It's actually Hawaii's first seafood boil food truck that you can grab on the go. They've got four different sauce options: House Cajun, Spicy Cajun, Cheehoo, and Hapa. Besides the buckets, they also whip up a seafood seasoning mix, shrimp and rice plates, steak tacos, elote (that's corn), horchata, and side rice. When it comes to the seafood boil, you can choose from three different sizes, and you get to pick your sauce. Each bucket is loaded with shrimp, crab legs, sausage, an egg, and some small potatoes. I went for the hapa sauce, and wow, it was a serious game changer--definitely a "chew until you can't eat any more" kind of meal! The flavors were broke da mount and super ono!

I have been waiting to try these guys out since I follow them on instagram and they seem like a really Fun bunch! I got their large Hapa bucket and it was really Good! I was able to share with my niece and she enjoyed it too! She wasn't fond of the sausage because it was a bit too intense for her but I liked it! The flavor was very unique but delicious! They had a bit of a long line but it was still pretty quick to get our food. My husband liked his burrito he said everything in it was flavored very well. Super friendly people and very accommodating. I asked for extra gloves and napkins and she was more than happy to help me even with their line building up. I will definitely be going back to try some of their other items!

Seafood and Mexican food! I love that Buckits does both! Buckits Hawaiʻi is a food truck that is often on the west side, but I was grateful that they participated in the Māʻona Market at Island Family Christian Church in Salt Lake recently so that I could try their food. I've been following them on Instagram, and both their seafood and Mexican food have looked delicious! A bunch of friends and I went to the Māʻona Market together, so we got several items from different places so that we could try lots of things. At Buckits we got two seafood boil buckits with Cheehoo sauce (coconut milk sauce), rice, and Rudy's Pizzaria. The seafood boil buckits were awesome as they came with shrimp, crab, sausage, potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. At first I was confused by the boiled eggs, but they were actually so good. The shrimp were huge, and everything was cooked perfectly, which is difficult to do when ingredients cook at different rates. And let me tell you, that coconut Cheehoo sauce was such an interesting and yummy twist for a seafood boil. We definitely poured that sauce over rice to gobble down. Would definitely order again! We also really enjoyed the Rudy's Pizzaria, which is a huge birria quesadilla with a side cup of consommé. Also super delicious, and I loved the lime wedges to help the flavor pop and cut some of the heaviness of the meat and cheese. Would also order again. The food took about 20 minutes to come out because the market was busy, but the quality was worth the wait! Buckits Hawaiʻi is a super cute food truck, and I'm happy I tried it. The owners are super nice, and I'll definitely be back!

I hit follow right away -- and when I saw they were nearby, I waddled my very pregnant self over to grab a plate. I ordered their Combo Plate: two scoops rice sprinkled with furikake, crab potato salad, fried noodles, and two proteins. I chose garlic fried chicken and teri beef. It was so good I actually cried a little. Living on the Big Island, everything was so far, and I couldn't satisfy my cravings easily -- so finally having a real plate lunch felt like comfort and home all at once. I hadn't been back since, mostly because they don't have a set schedule, and whenever they were close by, Bubba would be napping or I'd find out too late. But today, I finally got to go again -- and this time I brought Bubba. And she remembered me. "Weren't you pregnant last time?" she said. Such a small thing, but honestly an amazing memory and such a warm customer experience. Bubba and I had a little sidewalk picnic together. He tried fried noodles for the first time, loved the teri beef, and of course devoured the rice -- his forever favorite. I saved half the plate for my boyfriend since he's working. It felt like such a full-circle moment... sharing with my son the exact plate lunch that made me cry (in the best way) when I was pregnant with him.

Got there this time after 11:00 am. I think it was about 11:20. I was 3rd in line ordering. I ordered the after school special plate includes 5 rolls taegu Kim chee sushi rolls and 4 pieces boneless fried chicken. The rolls were tasty and the fried chicken was crispy skin and a lightly salted. Told the girl inside the truck we looked for you guys last week thursday and you guys wasn't there. She started to laugh explaining why they weren't there but I cut her off and said that day we came back 3 times couldn't find them we went home. LOL. Took a picture of their menu. If you in the area, stop by. Support them. They make everything fresh it's about a 20 min wait. P.S. They only open Tuesday through Friday 11-3pm.

For months my boyfriend had been wanting to try these smash burgers, but he works during the day--and I honestly didn't think they'd survive the wait until he got home. Thankfully, we finally got to try them together, and it was so worth it. This is a true one-man operation, so it does take a bit of time to place your order--but trust me, the wait pays off. My boyfriend got the OG Smash Burger and immediately regretted not adding an extra patty... or ordering a second burger altogether. I went with the Pineapple Express, and as my very first smash burger experience? I was obsessed. Pro tip: get your own fries. You will not want to share. You will side-eye the other person. I then noticed it was back again this morning! I looked up the name on Instagram and found out they were serving up Mexican food! My hubby loves Mexican so we had to try it out. First off, the customer service was amazing! They talked story with us, asked tons of questions about what we wanted in each order since everything is made to order. Here's what we got: 1. Beef Nachos: we ordered the small portion but this was HUGE! It has cheese, choice of beef or chicken, onions, cilantro, & sour cream. My hubby loves nacho cheese so he loved this! There was a generous portion of beef on top too. 2. Cheese Quesadilla: this was actually a kids quesadilla but it was definitely a regular sized one! It was simple with just cheese & tortilla but, they did not skimp on the cheese. It was THICK! 3. Chicken Burrito: this was definitely the star of the show! It was HUGE! Hubby and I shared it and couldn't finish it. It was stuffed with pico, flavorful chicken, cheese, sour cream, beans & rice. It was messy but sooo good! Highly recommend! Overall, it's dangerous how often and close they are to where we live! We'll definitely be back!

I was kind of skeptical from ordering, since most restaurants In Hawaii that serve Mexican food, kind of give less than what it's truly worth. So I asked the local braddah "is it a lot?" And he assured me that if I'm not satisfied he would fully refund me. So I waited..... when I was called he showed me my order- carne Asada fries, and let me tell you... it can feed more than a family of 4. I never got his name but my bro, for serving great customer service along w great food.
