Her food is great! Doesn't have that old oil taste on the chicken. She has nice bubbly attitude and her Taegu rolls are on point

Hubby was able to stop by there to grab us late lunch/early dinner before he was closed for the day. The wait was a bit long because it's a one-man show. But the wait was pretty worth it. We ordered crispy crinkle fries and 2 OG smash burgers, one with "The Works" for an additional charge. The burgers were smothered in a tasty special sauce. Finger-licking good!

For months my boyfriend had been wanting to try these smash burgers, but he works during the day--and I honestly didn't think they'd survive the wait until he got home. Thankfully, we finally got to try them together, and it was so worth it. This is a true one-man operation, so it does take a bit of time to place your order--but trust me, the wait pays off. My boyfriend got the OG Smash Burger and immediately regretted not adding an extra patty... or ordering a second burger altogether. I went with the Pineapple Express, and as my very first smash burger experience? I was obsessed. Pro tip: get your own fries. You will not want to share. You will side-eye the other person. And yes, it could absolutely start a fight over who ate more. Adrian's Smash Burger is open Monday-Friday, 10 AM-3 PM. For weekend hours, check their Instagram. Support local--and don't forget to bring cash.

Mexican food on wheels! Although this place does catering, they also have a food truck!…read more Last night I noticed a truck up the street from where I live. I then noticed it was back again this morning! I looked up the name on Instagram and found out they were serving up Mexican food! My hubby loves Mexican so we had to try it out. First off, the customer service was amazing! They talked story with us, asked tons of questions about what we wanted in each order since everything is made to order. Here's what we got: 1. Beef Nachos: we ordered the small portion but this was HUGE! It has cheese, choice of beef or chicken, onions, cilantro, & sour cream. My hubby loves nacho cheese so he loved this! There was a generous portion of beef on top too. 2. Cheese Quesadilla: this was actually a kids quesadilla but it was definitely a regular sized one! It was simple with just cheese & tortilla but, they did not skimp on the cheese. It was THICK! 3. Chicken Burrito: this was definitely the star of the show! It was HUGE! Hubby and I shared it and couldn't finish it. It was stuffed with pico, flavorful chicken, cheese, sour cream, beans & rice. It was messy but sooo good! Highly recommend! Overall, it's dangerous how often and close they are to where we live! We'll definitely be back!

HOH TALK ABOUT MAYJAHHHHH!…read more First time here but was told these Braddahs come to Ho'opili every Thursday. I was kind of skeptical from ordering, since most restaurants In Hawaii that serve Mexican food, kind of give less than what it's truly worth. So I asked the local braddah "is it a lot?" And he assured me that if I'm not satisfied he would fully refund me. So I waited..... when I was called he showed me my order- carne Asada fries, and let me tell you... it can feed more than a family of 4. I never got his name but my bro, for serving great customer service along w great food.

We stopped by right at closing tonight, and the friendly staff were kind enough to let us place one last order. My son was craving sisig, and honestly, only Sw8's would do. The food is just as delicious as ever - crispy, flavorful, and now they offer it topped with a fried egg and chili oil on the side... he was in heaven! We also spotted fresh lumpia in the warmer last time, so we'll definitely be back to try that next. If you're a sisig fan (or looking to become one), I highly recommend Sw8 Dada's Sisig! The service was sufficient (low contact - could be off-putting to some.) The food was cooked on the spot, at least, the fried part was. My thing is, I've had different preparations of both the lechon and sisig before. I have to say that the ones I got from home-cooked versions versus commercial versions are different (at least for me it has.) It seems as if the sisig and lechon were initially boiled to cook it thoroughly, then they fry it before they serve it to you to get that crispy feel from the skin. The thing is, the jello-like/slightly slimy texture of the fat leads one to believe that it was boiled first or at least not fried thoroughly. There's nothing wrong with boiling as long as the skin and fat come through as crispy. The skin was crispy, but the fat wasn't. Perhaps, they just need to fry it a little more. Other than that, if it was crispy throughout, I would've given it 5 stars. I'm looking forward to trying the other things on the menu like the beef pares.
