I'm the Golden Lamb Hotel, the Tavern is a bit more casual than the Golden Lamb dining room. Though they both have the same menu, just had a drink here before moving to the main dining room. They feature really unique cocktails and local craft beers. Cheers!

I really love the vibe of Black Horse Tavern. It's like the masculine counterpart to The Golden Lamb--all dark wood, dim lighting featuring emerald light-esque lamps. It has an impressive bar, a fireplace that is lit on most chilly days and a gorgeous patio seating area offering a view of downtown Lebanon. They have a lovely cocktail list (my favorite is the Bee's Knees) and a menu with something for everyone. They make a truly incredible salmon. My go-to order is to get their signature salad and add salmon to the side. So delicious. The price point is accessable and seating very intimate. This is a spot I almost always bring out of towner's to eat and I think it really sparkles as one of Lebanon's best spots.

Great food and drinks. Love the Shepherds Pie Martini. Extensive food selection so something for everyone. When in Lebanon OH and Golden Lamb is too much, check out the attached Tavern. Highly recommended.

Fried chicken. Very very good.

Good was very good. Service was fine. Outside seating was headed and very nice. More casual alternative to the main restaurant.

Food and atmosphere are good. Pricey for menu selection. Check out the hotel while you are there.

It's part of the Golden Lamb, but with a more relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor dining is lovely. Fridays & Saturdays gets pretty crowded

All of the above. Great place to meet with friends! The food is awesome and the service is great!!read more

Lovely! We had eaten here a dozen or so years ago and I remember being sad that there was not…read morereally that much on the menu that qualified as Italian. But that was then and this is now, and the current hands-on owners give us a truly Italo-centric experience! It feels very European in here. All brick walls and an archway between the bar room and the dining room. Big wine rack in the dining room. The bar is also quite attractive and looks comfortable. I don't recall hearing any music but we were there at lunchtime on Sunday. Fire grilled artichokes grabbed me so we got this for an app. I admit I didn't read the description completely. The dish had seven little artichoke quarters drowning in Alfredo sauce. The artichoke was sweet and tender but all that sauce really overwhelmed it and this app is overpriced for the quantity. Later I realized we could have had them served with EVOO and parmesan which I would have much preferred. It was disappointing that the waitress didn't ask which preparation we wanted, and that the kitchen apparently did not ask her, either. Our two pasta dishes were delectable and the amount of protein was quite generous. We both loved our sauces, and the spicy Italian sausage (house made!) was out of this world. They sliced it nice and thin and there was so much, I was really in Heaven. The fettuccine and the capellini were done to perfect al dente. Our waitress did a great job and checked on us often. She was handling several tables and was constantly on the move but kept up well with all her guests. I was thrilled to see Limoncello cake on the dessert menu but a bit shocked at the high price. Of course it is possible you get a huge slice and I will definitely research this further next time! I plan on coming back, and soon.

NOT a "d i v e bar" by any stretch of the imagination…read more This is a charming tavern with old school ambiance, sturdy wooden bar, tables, and chairs (not stools). The bar room has two little "snuggery" areas in the windows up front and we sat in one today when we came for brunch. Fifteen beers on tap. Great classic rock feed. Two additional dining rooms and a big outdoor seating area that actually looks comfortable. The regular menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps and mains looked really good, but it was 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, right after church, and Doc's serves up breakfast all day Sunday! Including a $7 Bloody with salt rim, lime wedge and three olives - as spicy as you want it. Loved. My husband had the breakfast bowl and was amazed at the quantity and quality of the food. The sliced fresh mushrooms were especially notable. For me, Chicken and Waffles is the very essence of Sunday Brunch, and I was quite pleased. Also a hearty serving, two big chicken cutlets and two thick waffles dusted with powdered sugar. I took half home and finished it for supper. Ask for the Sriracha Syrup on the side, and if you're not a Sriracha fan they will give you regular syrup on request. I got both! When we arrived there was just one other couple at the bar who had already ordered food, but over the next 30 minutes at least ten people in various groupings came in and some went to the dining room. There was just one gal, the bartendress, to wait on everyone and she did a great job keeping up with it all, even checking on us. I'm sorry I did not get her name, but it was Sunday March 8th and she deserves big shoutout. I recommend Doc's and plan to return. Get in here.

By this time it was almost 230 pm on a Saturday. Greg welcomed us and got us our drinks and we ordered the same cheeseburger with fries and aioli sauce for dipping. The only difference between our orders was my BFF wanted her burger to MOO and I wanted mine more med-well. They not only got the order right, we both got the cheeseburger we wanted. Cleaned out plates - we were starving! Prices were reasonable. Staff was awesome. Food was fantastic. Super happy we hit it up and would totally go back the next time I'm in town.

At any rate, McIntosh's has a designated smoking area right by the entrance of said local Pub and Grub. After I finished a cocktail, I went to their designated smoking area. I smoked my last cigarette so I walked from McIntosh's to Dot's Market (adjacent to The Blue Berry Cafe) to purchase a pack of Winston. Without hesitation, I walked from Dots Market back to McIntosh's then my bartender Jamie handed me my tab/receipt. I paid cash for this bill but please take ONE minute to meticulously review the bartender's handwriting on the attached receipt. I'll patiently wait before writing a formal complaint coupled with an accurate account of what actually happened plus offer a fair review of McIntosh's as a whole. Respectfully, Robert Coffey

We ordered the mixed basket of mozzarella sticks/cheese balls to start and they were delicious. The marinara sauce was tangy and not something that my family liked, but the ranch was delicious. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and added fries, and though there was quite a bit of seasoning on the burger, he said that it was pretty good. My son loved the buffalo chicken sandwich, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the buffalo chicken bites. I ordered the macho nacho for my meal and it was good and there was more than enough for one person. Overall we were very satisfied with our meals and will be back to try additional options.
