Beautiful sign as you come in the park.

Lakewood is great! There are lakes, pools, golf cart rental, food trucks with great food, ice cream shoppe with delicious Blue bell ice cream. Best of all ocean front rv spots! We got one for the week and man is it nice! Every night we take our little dog and some chairs and sit in front of the waves crashing. Improvements would be: serve decaf coffee at the coffee shop. Have a part of the beach where I can bring my little pup all day. Provide shuttle to the hair salon and back OR It's right next door and really if they allowed us to use our golf carts and the back gate we almost would not leave the property anyways. Rent chairs and umbrella on the beach. We would consider coming back.

We met our oldest son and his family here. Absolutely loved that it's faith based! They have Bible studies for women, children, gospel singing on Friday night, a outdoor and indoor pool, three water slides, Trading Post which also has a ice cream store, golf cart rentals, bath houses, ponds to fish in, a golf cart parade every night, a coffee shop, putt-putt, laundromat, arcade, Wednesday night beach parties, cornhole, basketball courts, volleyball courts, daily trash pickup and more. The camp sites are tight but not as tight as I've seen at a Holiday RV park. You can literally walk to the ocean and beach. Once you are here you basically don't need to leave unless you just want to. We had such a good time with our son and his family. The staff was friendly and it was clean. We would definitely come back here again.

Absolute! Best camping resort ever! Other campgrounds are over crowed and this one is so perfect! Our children look forward to this vacation every year!

Fun place for first time camping. Well, RVing. I will say the place is super family and group friendly. Lots of activities for the kids. They are pet friendly as well, however, pets are only allowed on the beach before 9 and after 5pm. I will say the most disappointing part is that they aren't very handicap friendly. There's no way for people in a wheelchair to get on the beach and no accommodations. So that's super frustrating. It was nice that there were so many amenities were included. From coffee shop, restaurant, putt putt, kayaking, and so much more. There's really no need to even leave the campgrounds.

Upon arrival you will notice that there is a sizable parking lot for those who are here for this section only and also bathrooms which is always a plus. There is a small hut where folks check in and purchase the package they wish to experience and its usually slots of time that can be long or short. There is a nice lake with several obstacles set up for patrons to climb up and jump off of into the lake and there is even a part that will pull you around the lake on a cable that was attached to some kind of track . That looked like fun but its clearly for a certain level of adventurer. The area looked clean and kept up and there are plenty of trees to hide under when the sun is blazing up above you. This will be important for those that aren't enjoying the water. Now while I am doing this after not trying and was just an observer, I can admit that I don't think that I ever had any interest in visiting a water park. An amusement park with a couple of water attractions are fine but not one that is dedicated to it in full. I think this is a great idea for any visitors to the region with kids of a certain age to give them something to do for a few hours so if you're heading down there do check their prices and then hit one of the many awesome buffets that MB offers.

The water park facilities are great and so are the life guards. The entire place desperately need to be cleaned more frequently (bathrooms and lounge chairs were particularly bad).

We took our two small toddlers (2 & 3 year old) on a weekday late morning/lunch time and stayed for three hours ( 3 year old wanted to stay longer but it was already past naptime!). There's plenty of shade and chairs when we went but I can see how it could get packed on a weekend. There's also shade in the bigger swimming area but not any in the shallow area where the babies play. There's two slides, one for the babies and one for older kids. Life jackets to borrow but we brought our own, which could come in handy on weekends when it's crowded. There's also a snack bar with plenty of options and ice cream at the front desk. And it's definitely comforting to see all the lifeguards (I counted 9) watching over all the kids and being really attentive about it and actually doing their job. Highly recommend coming here if you have young kiddos! We'll definitely be back!
