Because I was basically a squeeze-in she was with a client so June helped out, asked if I minded my last nail fix to be no chip otherwise the other will take forever. I will say the aesthetic and the vibes are great. The pedicure chairs and foot rests are unfortunately just not for me, they were kind of uncomfortable and made it hard to relax. Even though my nails looked great as soon as they were done, they chipped within the first week of my vacation. I had gotten no chip gel polish on my hands and feet so that was disappointing. I have tried every single person in this salon for both manicures and pedicures, and unfortunately the quality is consistently poor. At best, the work is careless; at worst, it has caused real damage to my nails. Over time, my nails went from healthy to severely thinned, brittle, and painful. Improper filing, aggressive cutting, and poor technique caused ingrown nails and hangnails, and my nails were left so thin they were essentially paper-like. I now have to "retrain" my nails to grow straight again because of how badly they were cut and filed. The owner is rude and dismissive. On one occasion, he actually criticized the condition of my nails--nails he himself had done two weeks earlier. Most recently, after a particularly bad service in January, the damage became painful. When I returned for help, I was told I should have come in sooner--even though I work full-time and the salon closes at 7 p.m. on weekdays. When I did come back due to pain, they clipped off my no-chip polish on my toes, attempted to fix the issue, failed, and then simply painted over it instead of redoing the work properly. A week later, I returned again to have everything removed. I strongly advise not allowing the older gentleman to work on your hands or feet. His filing was so aggressive that another nail technician immediately pointed out the damage. You could clearly see where my nails had been unevenly and incorrectly cut. The photos show the difference: the "before" nails are thin, white, and damaged; the "after" shows what healthy nails look like when done properly by a competent professional. Despite explaining that my nails were painful and damaged due to their service, the owner still charged me $45 just to remove the product. I take responsibility for continuing to go back longer than I should have--it was close to my home and I kept hoping it would improve. I regret that decision deeply. My nails are now so weak and brittle that it will likely take 4-6 months before I can even paint them again. If you care about nail health, cleanliness, or proper technique, do not go to this salon!! Please learn from my experience and save yourself the pain, damage, and money.
